There is a part of me inside that thinks The Rock will actually be there next week. Give out news saying he won't show up, but have him actually show up. It's genius. in these times, that would be absolute genius of the wwe.

Anyone else think he could have a prior engagement, like filming a movie? So quick to judge.

Imagine if Bret came back. It's possible,it's not exactly bad blood anymore. I would love it but I don't expect it to happen.

The Rock from what I've seen and heard is the most humble big name ever in the WWF/E. He is an actor/entertainer now, that gives him and his family much better support and a better life. He is not saying you to the WWE because he doesn't want or really need that paycheck from Vince like Hogan & Austin want. He hasn't completely forgotten about wrestling and will continue to make those rare appearances that are truly memorable moments unlike Hogan & Austin's. He doesn't owe the wrestling business anything because he has already given so much to it and ultimately it's his choice. The WWE is very different from the Rock's time in it, he isn't disassosciating himself from it, he's got a heavy schedule of acting and that's his career now. And those saying he shouldn't or won't go into the HOF is a joke, WWE inducted both Hogan & Hart who have actually said you to the WWE and The Rock will accept his induction into their when the time comes.

The Rock doesnt deserve to even be considered for the HOF That is one of the most moronic things I have ever heard on this forum. The Rock is the Attitude Era to a T. He is globally recognized as 'The Rock', not as the actor Dwayne Johnson. People recognize him as one of the biggest wrestling stars of the late '90s. To say that a man who helped the Attitude Era be so grossly successful shouldn't be considered for the WWE Hall of Fame is a joke.

Its a real shame he won't be there. He is amongst the 3 top names who should be there in my opinion.

It's probably just the Rock mark inside of me but I really think he will be there. Remember all of his appearences since he left to focus on movies (with the exception of the Highlight Reel) have been surprises. Lets not forget that Percy Pringle said shortly before Wrestlemania XX that he wasn't coming back. Apples to oranges. You cannot compare a tubby manager to the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. Yes, it was nice when Bearer came back, but it wasn't absolutely necessary. But when you're promoting appearances by some of the biggest names in the history of the game, people will still hope beyond all hope for The Rock. On Raw, we'll be seeing a multiple-time bestselling author, the biggest moneymaker in wrestling history, the man who nearly put Vince out of business, one of the greatest female sports-entertainers alive today, at least 3 legendary former Champions who are still on the roster, and, of course, the most famous pro wrestler EVER. And yet, even with all these big names, people are still going to say, "you know who would make this even better? The Rock."

The Rock came on this year via satellite to insult Umaga. (monkey testiacles!!) Which he did without a script. The guy's got movies up the wazu right now since that horrible disney movie made so much money. The guy's very busy, give him a break. And anyone who say's he's a dick or shouldn't be in the HOF, is a moron, and probably is a mizfit.

Ok internet fans, Shut up. The guy doesn't wan't anything to do with wrestling, I am sure if you didn't want anything to do with something, you wouldn't want people bitching for you too. He has paid he dues to the wrestling business and all your fans by giving years of his life to entertain you.
Oh and just to piss everyone off who gets worked up so easily, Good for the Rock! Hah!

If Brock is there I will drop over dead. Literally.
And it was nice to see JBL in the ring, even if it was for a stupid reason.

Rock wouldn't be the alleged movie star he is today without professional wrestling...he can at least throw them a bone every once in a while. For God's sake, Rocky...take 5 minutes of your time to do all the stuff that we used to love you for, then go back to your delusion. Hell, there have been plenty of legitimate actors, who have almost nothing to do with wrestling, who say "yes" when Vince gets on the horn. Like Luke Perry or the Governator or Sly Stallone. exactly, he wouldnt be where he is today without the WWE. The least he can do is show up for the fans

That puts an end to speculation of a HBK vs. THE ROCK match at WM 24 Anyone that believed it in the first place was out of their ing minds.
