I admit that he is not in the same class as guys like Hogan, Piper, Austin, Rock and HBK but he is great in ring, he can have great matches and he IMO, is still good on mic, but is much better as a heel on the mic. But hes not over rated. But he's being pushed so hardd because he is the boss' son in law

I think he is over rated. I'll admit, before his quad injury in 2000, he was having some good matches, but after that, he's sucked. I honestly don't enjoy anything the guy has done in the last 5 years. He's been stale and there have been much better guys then him who should of been given his spot. He thinks he's in the same group as Hogan, Rock austin, but how many non wrestling fans know who he is? He wishes deep down inside he was a huge mainstream guy like Rock, Austin and Hogan, but he's not, and it kills him to know that. As much as I hate Hogan now, he'll always out pop and out draw Triple H. Triple H, in his own mind is a legend, when in reality, he's been **** for long time now. Dude, IMO HHH made those guys. {Not Hogan} Historic HHH Vs Austin feuds? HHH Vs Rock? HHH is easily in the same group as Austin and Rock. They are all from basically the same era, and thye made each other famous. Even thou I am a HUGE Rock fan, I bet you that real diehard wrestling fans would rather see one more HHH and Austin feud than Rock and Austin. And you think that just because HHH hasnt starred main role in a movie hes not up to their level? Thats just sad. Hahaha lol Austin made Austin w/help from Vince. Rock was made by Austin way before HHH became champion. To say that I'm saying this because HHH wasn't starred in a movie is a little dumb IMO.

I do believe HHH is this eras Ric Flair, a legend is the business. Someone no one will ever forget if they know wrestling, one of the greatest of all times. Like it or not, I'm not saying you have to like him. But without HHH I'd say the WWE wouldn't be what they are now without him. Since DX you gotta admit HHH has done nothing but rise to the top, not stopping. I'll admit, now a days he hasn't been the best. I prefer a heel HHH or the bad ass tweener like face we had during his fued with Cena. Not this watered down DX single HHH. I'll also admit he probably will never get as mainstream as Hogan/The Rock and some what Austin, but I mean...I don't think there will be another Hogan(as much as I dislike the guy). I certainly prefer HHH over Austin/Rock, simply because HHH when needed to can still put on the big show and carry anyone to a good match. Overrated? No, that term is "overrated". Like said before, everything on the internet is overrated, I think people just like to use that term. HHH has accomplished a ton of things in HIS profession, a lot of things he has done half the roster hasn't and will never do. I mean, in my opinion him and Flair took Orton/Batista and basically put them in the main event and they were accepted. Like it or not, Evolution was greatness. After Evolution I took Orton/Batista as main eventers. I'm sure a lot of people did too, not just because they won the world title. I remember when they both were on the verge of championship...it felt right for both of them. I give partial credit to HHH/Ric Flair for that. Yes this was long, but HHH is my all time favorite wrestler. Has been since early DX. Debate ;D IMO, HHH & WWE think he's this age's Flair, even better, and that's so damn absurd. When Evolution was around, how many times did Flair have to refer to HHH as the best of all time, kiss his ass, etc., etc.,? Now, if he was "that damn good" we wouldn't have to hear it every 5 minutes from someone who really mattered...

How so? In the video games, possibly, but in real life, not really . . .

Has he & can he have great matches? Yes he can, but he could never sellout a PPV main event just because he's Triple H. In fact it was always because of the guy he was wrestling. He sucks on the mic, and he's obviously kept in a good spot for a reason (gee I wonder why). He's been hyped up for over a month & no one in the company gets the treatment he does, even when he's not the champion. Anyway, that's my take on him. I could go on I completely disagree with this point in particular. He actually CAN sellout a PPV main event and I believe he's gold on the mic, face or heel.

Triple H as a face may be slightly overrated,
but heel Triple H takes the cake for the greatest heel of the last 5-6 years.

Triple H might be a little overrated in the ring, but then again nobody expects him to put on the best of the night.
But as far as being a draw and adding to the excitement of the show....right now in the WWE there is nobody better. At SummerSlam people were more excited about Triple H's return than they were for the WWE title match except for the people who wanted Cena to hopefully FINALLY lose the WWE title.
I still think Triple H is more valuable as a heel, rather than the comedic face he's been playing for the last year, but I'd expect a heel turn pretty soon, unless Cena loses the title to a heel and Triple H chases the title as a face.
Obviously with Orton punting John Cena's dad, Orton and Cena will fight again for the WWE title, probably at Unforgiven. If Orton wins he will probably lose it to a face Triple H sometime down the road. If Cena retains again, Triple H will probably turn heel and take it off Cena.

Honestly..I don't see Triple H ever turning heel again. And if he does, it won't be for a while, until at least post-WM24. They're going to throw him into a feud with Kennedy for WM24, meaning he will still be face by then.
Lets face it..Hunter doesn't have a whole lot left in him. Supposedly he's said he wants to go out as a face..

I'm not sure the logic behind the "Triple H gets the biggest reaction of the night" line of thinking when it's pretty obvious to those in the arena and those watching at home that John Cena gets the biggest reaction. Whether it's cheering or booing, Cena's matches are always the hottest on the card and at SummerSlam, the crowd booing for Cena was louder than the cheers for Triple H. As far as in-ring work goes, Triple H hasn't been the same since May of 2001 when he tore his quad the first time. He came back way too heavy and easily blew up early in most of his matches. THe closest Triple H has been to 2000-2001 Triple H was when he feuded with Chris Benoit during the Spring/Summer of 2004. When he is motivated or when he's wrestling a motivated star (Cena, Batista, Benoit), he still can have a good-to-great match. But despite the hate certain groups of the internet have for John Cena, he has arguably become the biggest star in the company. Not to compare characters because that's not what I'm talking about here but John Cena is to what the nWo was while Triple H is to what Ric Flair was in 1996-1997 WCW. Cena is the newer, hotter act while Triple H is the established star that still has good-to-great matches. The Triple H of yesteryear is gone BUT a very serviceable and reliable act remains. Cena is having the better matches and is overall--whether positively or negatively--the most over star in the company. As far as the internet community goes, Triple H is overrated and John Cena is underrated.

You think Triple H is overrated?
You're joining the party about 7 years late.

Well, I have never liked Triple H. Ever. From his CT blue-blood gimmick to his current character, he just never did anything for me. I think he weak charisma for starts. I still think his mic skills are atrocious and his in-ring skills are average at best. I also hate all the backstage power he has. I know some....alright, all of you are going to disagree with me and that's perfectly alright. That's the beauty of our message board. Well, that's all I have right now. Peace out.

Everyone's "overrated" on the Internet... tell me about it. have you guys ever thought of backing off a little? critiquing wrestling is not the best way to enjoy it. the only reason you think it is really bad is because you're not a kid anymore. everything was better when you were a kid. So true, so true.
