I'm making this thread not to start any fights or anything, and I don't want to start any problems but I just wanted to point something out that I noticed on wweshop.com. For the longest time Cena has pretty much dominated the top sellers list with his merchandise, even if something of his wasn't the number one seller there would always be some sort of Cena merch on the list. However, I just went there now and I looked under new releases to check out some of the new items they put up and I noticed that Cena's merchandise was no where to be found on the top sellers list. Just found that kind of interesting, IMO it looks like since he's been out his popularity is starting to slip.

Cena isnt around....his merchandise wont move unless he is there. If i went to Raw right now,i would get a shirt of someone that was active on the roster..not someone thats not on it due to injury.
Once Cena returns,he will regain control of the top ten shopzone list

Just to make a comparison, how were Rey's merch sales when he was out?

Ya, only one thing of his coming in at #9 on top sellers. His figures still sell well. Even though he is in just about every series.

Well, why would WWE produce merchandise of someone who won't be back until the middle or end of next year?

Well, why would WWE produce merchandise of someone who won't be back until the middle or end of next year? I didn't say WWE wasn't producing his merchandise anymore because they clearly still are since he already has some new items, it's just that people aren't buying it as much because it's not in the top sellers list. If you ask me Cena's popularity is just a fad that is probably going to die down a lot faster now that he's out of the picture, I mean look at his fan base they're a bunch of little kids with short attention spans they'll move on to someone new by the time he returns. Also the fact that he's not on TV shouldn't affect his merchandise sales, I mean if you really liked him you'd still buy his stuff regardless of whether or not he's on TV, but since his sales are starting to slip it just leads me to believe he's nothing more than a fad.

The guy who posted this has a point. I didn't hear Cena get ANY cheers last week on RAW.
He got outpopped by some dead guy's son.
Vince should fire him.

The sales will shoot back up when Cena comes back, and he'll be champ immediately after he comes back too.

Of course he is, he's not on TV right now. When he comes back, he'll be right back up there. I imagine he'll win the Title within a month of his return to skyrocket his name back up there. As tired as I was of him, I still haveadmit he's the E's biggest draw. No sense in ignoring the truth just because you're sick of them.

I always thought they just made up the top sellers list at WWEShop. If that was true would a Hogan product be in the top 10?

Look @ rey mysterio when he was gone... i dont think i saw one rey item on shopzone whilst he was away in the top sellers list... It Just has to do with lack of television time... simple as that

hes the most popular wrestler the WWE has seen since austin or the rock, and the face of the company, whether anyone likes it or not.
its borderline undeniable. but of course most of you will make an argument based solely off your emotions and fight that point to the death. hey, im no cena fan...
