Believe me, DH's suspension wasn't fake. It was mentioned on that CNN special last night.

10 years later and Bret still bitches about it. 10 years later and the WWE still brings it up. Jim Neidhart's closing comments are classic.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist in general terms, but I definitely think Montreal was a work. . . Think about it --
-- What would be the odds of them filming a documentary "Hitman Hart -- Wrestling with Shadows" right during the midst of all of this?
-- It gave Vince momentum leading into the establishment of his Mr. McMahon character, which led to the huge late 1990s / 2000s rivalries with Stone Cold Steve Austin, and even other top faces like Triple H, The Undertaker, and The Rock.
-- It put Bret Hart's name in the middle of something big to lead into his WCW run.
-- Vince made money off of it years later in various ways, including a three-pack of action-figures put out by JAKKS-Pacific and a DVD (Montreal was one of the main subjects of the Bret Hart DVD). I'm sure McMahon has made money off of the situation in other ways, as well.
There you go!

Why in the world would Vince McMahon give his competition (who was still kicking his ass at the time) a mega hot face who would be hotter than ever when he debuted? Vince was paranoid of his stars jumping to WCW, he wouldn't have done anything to make his star hotter. Read Bret's book (which I intend to post a review of one of these days). The man is still bitter over what happened and I still don't think he sees anyway possible how any of it could've been his fault. What Vince did wasn't right, but what Bret was doing wasn't right either.

10 years later and there STILL isnt anyone in WWE who is at Bret's level. In terms of what? There are certainly people who draw better than Bret. There are people who are more charismatic than Bret. You could argue that there are a handful of people who are better in the ring than Bret.

First off, BRET SCREWED BRET.
Second, the HHH remake is classic. I love how he speaks for the whole company.

As much as I like Bret Hart, he has to stop whining any being such a crybaby because he got screwed over. It's not a big deal anymore. The screwjob will always remain part of wrestling history that no one will ever forget.

why do people always say bret needs to let it go and stop crying? did I miss something, cause I never hear him whine or even really talk about it. I see the WWE bring it up constantly though. =/
