I've not seen MSG, Ticketmaster, or WWE confirm that the 2008 Royal Rumble would actually take place in The Garden. Now I may have heard of ads running, but nothing concrete.
Is the 1/27 location booked as a done deal for MSG, or not? I don't give flying squirrel what Wikipedia has to say about it, either.
And on the subject, what are the likely prices for tix? I'm thinking of seeing my first PPV, and also making the trip to see a good friend who lives down that way.

I believe it has been confirmed. It was mentioned in a thread not too long ago. As for prices for tix, it all depends. They probably start at something like $30 and make their way up to a couple hundred, if not more. It all depends how much you are willing to shell out.

I'm looking at around 4 people going, myself included, so would it be safe to say.... Only going on the ticket prices... Be prepared to shell out at least $120-130?

Ticket ranges will be from around $30 up to $300 for ringside within first 5 rows.

I posted it a few days ago. The two most recent WWE Magazines (Holiday '07 with Jericho on the cover and the PPV Special) both have Madison Square Garden listed as the venue for the Royal Rumble.
As for tickets, it'll likely be in the range of $40 (for the 400 level and obstructed view seats if WWE decides to build an entrance set, which is rare for PPVs at the Garden) to $400, or maybe even $500 due to MSG's increased rental costs, for the Platinum seats within the first few rows at ringside.

Why do people keep asking this question?

Why do people keep asking this question? You show me it asked in an original thread, and answered. Or just outright answered, and I'll give you a fitting response to your question. Untill than, maybe people wanna buy the tickets, ever cross the t's on that thought process?

As was previously said in this thread, the WWE Magazine with Jericho on the cover confirmed that the Royal Rumble will be at Madison Square Garden. It does seem rather odd that the WWE hasnt announced when tickets will go on sale for this event. I'm saving my money up for some good seats for whenever the tickets actually do go on sale.

What the hell does the location have to do with the date that tickets go on sale? If it were truly about that, the question would have been "When do Rumble tickets go on sale?" STFU.

Here's an idea: If the topic isn't hostile, a response like your's, usually comes off looking like an instigative punk. When a PPV as big as the Rumble is every bit of 9 weeks away. WWE has no information about the PPV. Ticketmaster, as well as the said location, have nothing. You can't be certain of what is for sure. Like Bound for Glory 2007 in Chicago, you trying planning a trip, on an assumption. I asked if people heard no plans of changing the location. Still being a return to the Garden. Don't tell me when to ask a follow-up question. That's the point of a topic, but thanks for trying to be a dick for no reason in particular.

December 29th they may be released? Seems late for the WWE, but yet, smart. A lot of people may have more money after Christmas, then again, they may not.
I, for one, will be gunning for tickets. The last PPV I went to was in fact the 2000 Royal Rumble at MSG.

Pssst...Let me let you in on a little secret: WWE confirmed it. LIKE OMGZZZZ!!! Did you forget the part where I said their site hasn't confirmed it, neither has MSG or Ticketmaster. Now if you think I'm looking to cover my own loose ends, think about this. Umm.... not every body reads WWE magazine, smart ass. But some one already mentioned it before you, so thanks for trying to buzzkill my attempt to get a little information. Next time regulate your response to ones that aren't suggestive and on par with what you feel is worth asking.

I got 6 frontrow tickets already reserved...I know someone within WWE Why would you post something like that, I know your excited that your getting them, but a post like that can get peeps introuble or mad either or but hey maybe im just talking out of my ass who knows, I know if it where me I would of kept my mouth shut about that, glad your getting the fronts though. gl with that and have fun. And I am just taking a shot out of the dark and thinking ringside seats will be anywhere from 4-600 bucks each, one cause msg price wars with wwe and two summerslam which was at the meadowlands was 400 each, and this is in New York, so you know Vince is gona think that us New York people have deep pockets.
