dont you guys understand its not "the spinner belt" anymore? it hasnt spun in around 6 months! WWE stoped the thing from being able to spin, and now it just stays in place. now its just like any other belt, only flashier. which i dont understand why people wouldnt want a fancy belt. sure just painted gold on leather is nice but why not put jewels on it? that just makes it even more prestigious. and they took the multicolors off the belt so its pretty much looks normal on most people. HHH, Randy Edge, RVD it didnt look out of place or anything. im sure if it never spun, and john cena didnt make it, most of you would be like "OmFg swEET belt - - - MUST GeT rePLicazzzz" The belt was specifically made to look like bling. Jewels on a belt are fine but when the whole thing is "diamond encrusted" it looks absolutely tacky. Big Gold features rubies and diamonds buts it's still elegant enough to look respectable. how does it look tacky when thats how things are nowadays? its modern and appeals to todays youth, and will stay WWE fans when the old guys still living off the 80's WWF are dead.

I loved the "Winged Eagle" . . . in fact, I'm getting a replica of it for Christmas! It was a truly original design back when it was introduced, and imo, it never got old.
When they switched to the "Big Eagle" the day after WM14, at first I hated it because I resented the change. I eventually grew to love that belt as well.
I wasn't crazy about the "Undisputed", but it's definately better than the current piece of crap . . .

Yeah they ditched it when Austin won. Didnt he debut the smokin skull right after?
I agree that the attitude era is probably the most apealing wwe championship, however my favorite title has always been the big gold.
On a similar note, my least favorite belt would have to be the current united states championship, I really really wish theyed just kept/updated the wCw one.

It was definitely nice, but I prefer the Attitude/Undisputed belts.

Only a certain section of society appreciates that kind of style. I'm all for hip hop culture but some parts of that style aren't elegant or respectable and bling is one of them. You say it appeals to "today's youth" but honestly, children are going to covet the belt no matter what it looks like. Just like how you can tell who here started watching during which era and in fact, it's this theory that you are accidentally referring to in your last segment (which I've made bold for reference). It is the WWE's job to market their title to the youth and the way they do that is by having a champion that kids want to be. Kids wanted to be John Cena. Kids wanted to be Steve Austin. Kids wanted to be Hulk Hogan. And finally, really, can you give me an instance when someone started watching WWE or wrestling in general because they enjoyed the way the belt looked? It just doesn't happen and I think the idea that you purpose is a weak attempt to justify your tastes. Denny Crane.

Denny Crane. i used the belt as just one thing that appeals to kids and teend as to why they like WWE. its modern. Cena is a modern and hip wrestler, WWE's stages are modern and complex instead of a little tunnel or a big screen like the old days. pretty much the basic point i was trying to make all along, is if something like the way WWE's championship looks bothers todays fans, thats the least of their worries because thats just the start. everythings gonna change and be too much for them to handle. How? i cant say. but if you asked me, or anyone back in 97, 10 years ago, if stages like Wreslemania 23 would ever happen or have belts with more minerals than metal theyd say hell no.

I hadn't thought of it like that. Pretty funny . . .

The 'Winged Eagle' is the best looking world title the WWF/E ever had. Look at the spinner belt, it just doesn't have that look of prestige, the spinning center peice, the fact is says "Mon-Nite" on it and 'Champ'. But remember, the winged eagle was smashed up and glued back together to make the Hardcore Title... atleast that's what we are meant to beleive. That was the version Mr Perfect smashed like 10 years before. They still used the eagle after that....Ill take any title but the spinner though. Even if they make a whole new design I think those two storylines (if you can call the making of the Hardcore title a storyline) are not related.

I liked the Winged Belt also but the one they gave Stone Cold was fine as well.

the winged eagle by far is and always will be the best. They should bring that back but with the wwe logo on it (not the block one that cena used for his "word life" stuff). Since they are in to the whole namplate thing i guess they could throw that in there too. Perhaps even take to the level from when Ultimate Warrior used to change the leather colors. Imagine edge holding it on red, blue or purple leather etc...
for anyone curious, the style of wwe belts went like this after the Winged eagle was thrown on the floor by austin the raw after WM XIV they had the WWF championship that was blue with the mid 90's wwf logo on the 5th side plate, the old block on the top of the eagle; then the smoking skull, then the WWF Attitude that looked just like the blue from earlier in the year but it was black and had the WWF attitude logo, Then the same belt but w/ grey behind the belt (or was it blue?), then back to all black then the Undisputed that Flair gave to HHH when Raw changed to the set you see now in 02' (that belt was freaking huge) ( Check spamtore to see version 1 and two) then the Undisputed that Angle and Brock fought over which was smaller than the previous and had the WWE logo. then the spinner that said smackdown instead of "mon.nite" Now its this piece of crap that Orton must be embarrassed to wear or even hold.
