I like AJ and all, but I'll always remember that match not for him, but for the very rare WWE occurence of the Vertebreaker.

Yeh, WWF didn't turn AJ down, it was the other way around.

AJ Styles knows he would be better off staying in the Indy's - He can get more exposure and his work would be better appreciated by the fans. In WWE he would be under used, job out to everyone, then get released when they have nothing left for him.

In WWE he would be under used, job out to everyone, then get released when they have nothing left for him. Exactly right. In the WWE, pretty much every superstar is 'watered down'. At least in TNA, they get to show their true potential. I mean why the hell have they banned the shooting star press??

I'm sure during the match itself Helms says to AJ, "run while you still can"
I also like how they call Styles a virtual unknown when he was with WCW when WCW closed.

Because Brock Lesnar nearly killed himself doing it, because Billy Kidman legitimately injured Chavo Guerrero with it...not necessarily logical, I know, but the reasons are there.

Just looking at the youtube comments, you can see where the wrestling world has gone wrong today. Why does it seem like only two guys understand the basic mentality of hindsight?
And a great match for Metal. Usually, only squashes were on Metal. I don't remember anything THIS good.

AJ makes good money in TNA and can give it 100% in all of his matches.
He doesn't need the WWE and has told them that by refusing a contract on serveral occassions. Good for him.
