The plan right now for The Hardy's is to use them as singles competitors. Jeff and Matt were only scheduled to work together one time, but due to the fact that they are so over as a team, WWE has continued to use them as tag team.
WWE wants to give Matt a long-term singles push on SmackDown in a soap-opera type storyline. The idea is to make him a babyface that loses all of the time, but remains over with the fans. While that isn’t much different from his current role in the company, it will be an elevated version as he will defeat better superstars and will be losing to the top guys on SmackDown.
As for Jeff, the plan is give him some type of prankster gimmick where he will be playing pranks on people backstage. This will perhaps be a way for him to be involved in the Jackass angle at SummerSlam.

They can always reunite again. They need a singles career too.

Maybe they can bring back D-Von Dudley and pain a clown face on him and have him in a love triangle with Kate Vick and an inflatable chair.
Or maybe I shouldn't give WWE the idea.

This sounds great. Finally some good news after Benoit's death. I can most definitly see Jeff as a prankster. As for the Matt gimmick, I love it as well. I hope this evolves into something with him winning the Heavyweight title at Mania next year.

How come Matt gets crap on all the time by WWE? He had always stayed loyal to them. Jeff is the one that needs to be getting crappy bookings. He went to TNA when WWE fired hisass. Then again, WWE has been know to be a little screwey.

The man botches like 90% of his moves... by far anywhere from one of the best... fan favorite? yes.. but one of the best? hell no.

Matt will keep losing as part of his push? That's just idiotic. How are you becoming a big star if you don't ever win a match?

Great. The Hardys are officially done with their career. Both have so much to give but what do they do? Make Matt job to people and make Jeff a prankster?? He barely even speaks. Gosh. I was stupid thinking Matt may actually get a well deserved push.
