Triple H in a Wrestlemania main event? I can't believe that. It's happened before. Five times. Wrestle Mania 2000, Wrestle Mania X8, , Wrestle Mania 20, Wrestle Mania 21, and Wrestle Mania 22.

I get what people are going on about with Triple H, but give it five years, you'll be wanting Triple H to take the title before Cena makes it to another Wrestlemania in that exact spot.
WWE is all about drawing power, they need the best in that picture. Though I strongly feel every year should cap off something new. Like with the Rumble, even if 'Taker wins again... we should get something alternatively generous.
But yeah, Triple H isn't a douche because of this. That's just ignorant. Triple H can actually carry a match, but I won't say he's my preferred pick for Raw Main Event. Rather see Michaels, Kennedy, people who haven't held the title at least since 05 or never.

Oh and a follow up on my post, if we're gonna pick on Hunter, how about the words "McMahon" and "Wrestlemania". Sure it's synonamous with "built", "created" and "profiter"... but if you ignore Vince's role on commentary and just go with introduction of "Mr McMahon." Well, they're far more greedy about involvement.
Wrestlemania 15(1999) • REFEREES MATCH: Mankind defeated "Big Show" Paul Wight by DQ to earn the right to referee the main event.. Paul Wight got disqualified after bring a chair into the ring and assulting Mankind with it.. Vince McMahon came down and yelled at Paul Wight for messing up and getting disqualified.. Vince McMahon says that Paul Wight is a "nobody" so Wight hauled off and knocked McMahon out! The Stooges, Pat Patterson & Gerald Brisco, came down to the ring to help Mr. McMahon..
• BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon & The Stooges.. A woozy Vince McMahon asks for his mobile phone so he can call the cops and have Big Show arrested!
• BACKSTAGE: Kevin Kelly & Vince McMahon.. Vince McMahon says he has a referee shirt in his bags, and names himself the guest referee for the main event!
• EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH: Shane McMahon w/Test (of the Corporation) defeated X-Pac (representing DX) to retain
• IN THE RING: Vince McMahon + Shawn Michaels.. Jim Ross came out and replaced Michael Cole for the main event of Wrestlemania 15.. Howard Finkle introduced the special guest referee for the match ---- Vince McMahon! Shawn Michaels came out next and gave his "Wrestlemania isn't Wrestlemania, without Shawn Michaels" speech.. Shawn Michaels says that the only person who came appoint a guest referee is the Comissioner.. Shawn Michaels says that since he is commissioner, he's going to send Vince to the back.. Shawn Michaels adds that the Corporation is banned from ringside for the main event.. Shawn Michaels then appoints the new referee -- Mike Chioda!
• NO HOLDS BARRED WWF TITLE MATCH: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin defeated The Rock (of the Corporation) to win the title! The fight started quickly and immediately made its way into the crowd and brawled on the WM15 stage.. The Rock backdropped Steve Austin awkwardly onto the lighting fixures (which I hear get REALLY hot).. Steve Austin recovered and whipped The Rock into the huge hanging Wrestlemania logo fixture, causing it to sway.. Steve Austin set the Rock up on the Spanish Announce Table and drove him through it with an elbow drop (two tries)! The match finally made it into the ring where The Rock managed to hit a Rock Bottom, but only got a 2-count! Mike Chioda got knocked out, and referee Tim White came out to replace him.. Vince McMahon came down and distracted Steve Austin, so that The Rock could hit a low-blow! Vince McMahon got in the ring and knocked the referee out, and helped Rock stomp Steve Austin! Mankind came down, wearing a whit shirt with stripes painted on with a black permanent marker.. Mankind kicked (literally) Vince McMahon out of the ring and assumed his position as guest referee.. The Rock hit the Rock Bottom and set up for the people's elbow, but Steve Austin moved out of the way! The Rock went for another Rock Bottom, but Steve Austin reversed it into the Stone Cold Stunner for the win!!! Steve Austin celebrated with a few beers, including sharing a few with referee Earl Hebner (who really enjoyed it).. Vince McMahon claimed Steve Austin was holding his belt, so Austin stunned his ASS and dumped beer on him!
That's 5 Appearances for Vince, and 1 Match for Shane.
Wrestlemania 16(2000)
• MAIN EVENT: Triple H w/Steph defeated The Rock w/Vince, Mick Foley w/Linda & Big Show w/Shane
I can't remember how many actual appearances, but at least 4. Now yes, Trips was in the main event, but so were the full blooded McMahons. All 4, not just the in-law.
Wrestlemania 17(2001)
• STREET FIGHT: Shane McMahon defeated Vince McMahon with Mick Foley as the guest •WWF WORLD TITLE NO-DQ MATCH: Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated The Rock to win the WWF World title! In the shocker of the century, Vince McMahon helped Steve Austin and a new heel alliance was formed (OH MY GOD!)
Once again, I lose count of McMahon cameos but we got 2 McMahons wrestling on the card. Than Vince puts himself in the middle of another main event at Wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania 18(2002)
• UNDISPUTED TITLE MATCH: Triple H defeated Chris Jericho w/Stephanie McMahon to capture the Undisputed title.
This time I think all but Steph were quietly watching the show, off camera. But to no surprise, a McMahon involved in the main event.
Wrestlemania 19(2003)
• STREET FIGHT: Vince McMahon vs Hulk Hogan
This time around, Stephanie is GM so an extremely brief appearance. Shane may or may not have been on screen. As for Vince, no main event this year but he makes sure Wrestlemania is a McMahon based event by facing Hulk Hogan, those McMahons can be so humble.
Wrestlemania 20(2004)
• NATIONAL ANTHEM: Harlem Choir Boys.. After the national athem there was a video package about how Wrestlemania began a tradition that changed "our world".. Following this, there was a brief shot of Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon with Shane's new baby boy! That's the first appearance of the fourth generation McMahon on Television.
• IN THE RING: Vince McMahon.. Vince McMahon thanks the fans on behalf of every WWE Superstar past and present and the McMahon Family
While, technically, we got 4 McMahon appearances in two segments. This was the first time McMahons weren't involved in a Wrestlemania outcome since 1998!
Wrestlemania 21(2005)
Who turned out the lights? The door's wide open but no McMahons are residing this time around.
Wrestlemania 22(2006)
• BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon (with Family) prayed to God and said he would send his favorite wrestler to HELL!
• SUPER GRUDGE MATCH: Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon.. The Spirit Squad was out there interfering for Vince McMahon until Shawn Michaels ran them off..... Vince McMahon took a beating for a while until Shane McMahon snuck in and whacked Michaels with a stick! Vince McMahon pulled his pants down, but Micheals countered and shoved Shane's face in Vince's butt! Shawn Michaels hand-cuffed Shane McMahon to the ropes and whacked him repeatedly with a kendo stick! Shawn Michaels whacked Vince McMahon with a vicious chairshot, but decided not to use his superkick.. Shawn Michaels brought a ladder into the ring and rammed Vince McMahon hard in the head (unprotected).. Shawn Michaels laid out Vince McMahon on the table, but decided that the ladder he had was not tall enough.. Shawn Michaels got a bigger ladder from under the ring and put a trash can over Vince McMahon's head.. Shawn Michaels laid Vince McMahon on the table and climbed to the top of the "20-foot ladder" and jumped! Shawn Michaels, who also used the old DX crotch chop, crashed through the table along with Vince McMahon.. A team of EMTs immediately ran out to check on Vince McMahon, but Michaels wouldn't let them in the ring.. Shawn Michaels gave Shane McMahon a crotch chop, causing the fans to erupt with a Degeneration-X chant.. Shawn Michaels lifted Vince McMahon to his feet and gave him a superkick and pinned him 1-2-3 to win! Shawn Michaels got up and celebrated by giving Vince McMahon the another D-X crotch chop......... Vince McMahon gave the camera the middle finger as he was being stretchered out
It was fun while it lasted, 2006 got a McMahon family vigel and a whole lot of Vince getting a seemingly easy beating from Shawn Michaels in Vinnie Mac's most hyped Mania appearance since 2003.
Wrestlemania 23(2007)
• BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon & Stephanie McMahon & Aurora Rose McMahon.. Stephanie McMahon came in to wish her father good luck and brought her baby Aurora Rose along with her.. Vince McMahon maniacally told the baby all the graphic & gruesome things he was going to do to Donald Trump.. Vince McMahon said he smelt something and told Stephanie that the baby "just took a Trump" --- Har Har Har..
• AIR VS HAIR MATCH: Bobby Lashley w/Donald Trump defeated Umaga (w/Vince McMahon & Armando Alejandro Estrada).. The Battle of the Billionaires, the losing Billionaire will have his head shaved bald right after the match.. The special guest referee is Stone Cold Steve Austin who has promised there will be a bald billionaire at WM23.. Donald Trump came out with former Miss USA Tara Conner as cold hard cash fell from the ceiling for the fans.. Armando Alejandro Estrada interfered so Bobby Lashley destroyed him as Stone Cold Steve Austin watched on.. Referee Steve Austin was not shy about getting physically involved when either man would not listen to him.. Vince McMahon jumped up on the ring apron to complain and Bobby Lashley hit the ropes sending Vince flying! Both competitors were knocked down and referee Steve Austin counted to nine and then decided to stop counting.. Shane McMahon came down to check on Vince McMahon, who was still laid out on the floor from taking the fall.. Shane McMahon distracted referee Steve Austin and a disoriented Umaga destroyed Stone Cold with a Samoan Spike! Shane McMahon started attacking Bobby Lashley and Umaga destroyed Lashley with a running corner Butt-smash! Shane McMahon then did a Coast-to-Coast (Van-terminator) and drop-kicking a trash can into Lashley's face! Shane McMahon took his shirt off revealing a referee shirt and dragged Bobby Lashley to the center of the ring.. Umaga nailed a top rope splash and Shane McMahon started to make the count but Steve Austin pulling him out.. Steve Austin got back in the ring and walked right into another Samoan Spike from Umaga to take him down again.. Donald Trump ran around the ring and gave Vince McMahon a running clotheline and walked away feeling confident.. Steve Austin dodged a third Samoan Spike and nailed a Stunner on Umaga and Bobby Lashley finished off to win!!! Vince McMahon tried to run away but Steve Austin threw him in the ring and bad-mouthed him in front of Trump.. Shane McMahon came to his daddys rescue but referee Steve Austin attacked him and gave him a Stone Cold Stunner! Vince McMahon snuck away and seemingly escaped his fate until Bobby Lashley chased him up the ramp to catch him! Bobby Lashley carried Vince McMahon back to the ring on his shoulder where he got a big time Stone Cold Stunner! They all strapped Vince McMahon in the barber chair and share din the joy of shaving Mr. McMahon completely bald...
If read all of that, you'd realize, Vince marketed this match the hardest than took about 25 minutes to do what could have been done in 15 at most. But he's paying for four full hours so he can be on as much as he likes. Plus like 2004, we get an added McMahon appearance, fresh out of the womb.
If you ask me, as much as they should be involved, McMahons are the ones who intend more to put themself on the big show. Not make new stars who could easily fill the role in mind.

I think I'm ready to see Triple H have another reign as Champion. Just as long as it's not a ridiculous reign and he loses the title around SummerSlam, that would be good.

Yeah I'd love a shocker like when Eddie beat Lesnar (come on who really thought that was going to happen before a WM). But if Hunter does go on to win the belt at WM I'd love it just the same. Funny, people always want him back when hes gone, but the moment he gets the title hes an asswhole for not letting others go over.

WWE has no idea how to make stars,... And you do? WWE is a professional wrestling company - the largest and most powerful in the world, at that. I'm pretty sure they do know how to make stars. Anyway, you bashers are idiots. Triple H has plenty of credibility to his name in the way of main eventing. You people act like he's talentless and his backstage power alone gets him everything. Watch one of his older matches. He's good. You people are being very, very ignorant. I'm pretty sure I and anybody else with common sense. You act as if WWE purposely did all the right things to be #1, a lot of them were accidental. Rock? Austin? They had no intentions of doing anything significant. Austin was the Ring Master and Rock was Rocky Maivia. If these guys weren't able to make their own push with their charisma and mic work WWE wouldn't have crap. As you can see now, it was all luck because beside Cena nobody is close to selling as much stuff as him. He's the only homegrown talent which has been a sucess since the days of Austin/Rock etc. I was a big HHH fan since 1995 but you know what? He sucks now. He pulls out a big match when he wants to, he puts people over when he feels its right. He's lazy and is more intrested in making sure he stays over then helping out the buisness. Since 2002 HHH has done NOTHING to help the buisness picking and choosing his jobs and title reigns. He even said it himself he was supposed to be at WM23 (also reported by Dave Meltzer to all you Meltzer bashers) and why? Why is HHH facing Cena AGAIN in a match that wasn't even that amazing instead of make a new star or heel. Because HHH is selfish, everyone has said it from fans, to ex officials and ex wrestlers. Its just the die hard HHH marks who can't accept the garbage that has gone on for years.

The problem with Triple H always going over is that he rarely makes his opponent look good, like The Undertaker/Shawn Michaels/Kurt Angle do. Most of his matches since 2004 have been just average.

Triple H is still good, the fact is alot of people who are saying he isn't a good wrestler only watch his RAW matches. He's put on awesome matches and is one of the best wrestlers alive today, and still compete ting today.

Let's face facts, Triple H main events because he is the best over all wrestler in the WWE today. He has mic skills and can actually tell a story in the ring. He's not a glorified spot monkey like Jeff Hardy and actually understands ring psychology and how to sell. Guys like Kennedy and MVP are too green to get pushed. If you main event them now, then where do you go from here? You have to work your way to the top, otherwise the only place left to go is down. Kennedy will get there, it's just a matter of when. I just find it funny that most of the same people that marked out like little school girls when Triple H returned in August are now the same ones trashing him. Ummm, I think your talking about HHH pre quad tear in 2001, because since then, he's sucked. Everyone is sick of Triple H because we want new people headline, we want to see something different from the WWE. Triple H doesn't need the belt, he's over enough and is viewed as a main eventer anyways. They need to give someone else a chance with the title and let them run with it. Too bad WWE has buried everyone making no one seem special and stand out. I'd love to see Jeff or Matt Hardy win the belts, why? because it's something new! I'm sick of the same few guys winning and main eventing title matches, I want something new, and HHH isn't new. He's getting older and worse. Step aside Trips, let someone younger headline for once, but then, that would be doing something good for business and not for yourself, so it's not worthwhile.
