I always thought the people's elbow, though cool, is ridiculous. I mean come on, who would lay there that long? Exactly. OMFG, RUNNING INTO BOTH ROPES THEN DOING SOME WIERD FAKE LEG DROP MAKES THE ELBOW DROP SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL!!!!!!

Wrestling is meant to be portrayed as real, so you are supposed to be dazed. That's why Austin can flip you off and people can hit you with splashes. nice use of words

Technically, the ropes spring you if you go against them. But you don't have to run into the ropes. If you get Irish Whipped into the ropes, the ropes will spring you. You don't have to do much running. This is coming from someone who has been in a ring.

Well if you didnt go off the ropes when they Irish whiped you you couldnt counter it with a clothesline or shoulder block or something.

Well if you didnt go off the ropes when they Irish whiped you you couldnt counter it with a clothesline or shoulder block or something. That explains it perfectly. You could counter it, leap frog them, duck their clothesline, roll out of the way, etc. If he has been wearing you out for the entire match, you're most likely going to not counter as many moves. If he has been wearing your knee out, I've seen matches where the wrestler is actually smart and just falls to the mat after an Irish Whip. There are so many scenarios when you work a match. It's all about using psychology to a smart match.

During the Royal Rumble match, why doesn't everyone in the ring huddle into the corner or lay under the bottom rope? Or, how come more people don't exit under the top rope and hide, similar to Lawler in the mid-90's (during the Rumble match)? OK, Lets look at this as though it were real life: When you go into the Rumble you wana win by eliminating people, or you have to live with being called un-deserved. No one would want that. (Road Dogg hid under the ropes in 00, by the way) After lawler's time doing that, I believe the rules were changes (according to the WWE) that if you were able to participate in the match, but stayed outside the ring for x amount of time, you can be disqualified at the referees discretion. An irish whip- I can stop myself from boucning into the ropes You're being thrown at force into a huge elastic band. Get someone around you to "Irish Whip" you right now, if they put enough force behind you, you actually wont be able to stop. Its the way your body works. If you try to stop straight away you'll fall on your face.Being dazed enough so a 14 year old boy can swing and hit you in the face. I don't get that one...A chokeslam...You better believe if you got your hand around my throat I'll be trying to get out of it They do try to get out of it. They push, shove and kick to get out of it. 75% of first attempts at doing the chokeslam fail by getting a 'low blow'. The wrestler is supposed to be too dazed/tired when being chokeslammed.Wearing Jeans to a street fight. Like jeans are suppose to make you that much more powerful and hardcore. They don't make you more invincible, they protect your legs just a little bit more. Would you rather get hit in the bare skin or get hit with a pair of jeans on?Lying down on the job...Long enough to be splashed from the top If you've wrestled and been knocked about the ring, you'd be too tired to get up straight away.Getting trapped in a pedigree, Lord knows Triple H takes about a good 45 minutes just to lift up and drop you The pedigree is incredibly tough to get out of. The only realistic thing you can do is drop yourself to the ground and become 'dead weight'. That way Triple H would have a harder time doing it on you.If Austin hands you a beer...Why do you accept it? Dont wrestlers watch their own programs? You accept it as a goodwill gesture, because things have been going good up to that point and he doesnt stun everyone anyway. Fair enough, a majority get stunned.. but others dont.Getting up when you hear HBK in the background stomping his foot and then...You turn around Some people have just gotten up and rolled out of the ring (Notable examples are Edge, Orton, Kane etc.). But you're supposed to be dazed. And, realistically, you wouldn't be paying attention to the ring moving about.oh being stupid enough to follow Jeff Hardy when he runs up the turnbuckle... In an attempt to stop him. Most of the stuff you guys are mentioning are pretty realistic. Of course, if you're going to over analyze every little detail.. then whats the point in watching?

and the worm?? A poxy bulldogg can't knock you out long enough for a tip-toe dancing poof to hop around and breakdance the worm then chop you... and if a bulldogg really is that powerful then why doesn't Scotty just pin them with that move?

since everything has to be explained to you guys I'm not talking as if I was serious You better be. lol. like seriously if you were being for real, and was really questioning these things in a sport you know as well as i know is fake, then hall of famer or not tha warrents a bannishment! lol but from a non serious way then thats funny lol. who would be so calm in a Tombstone? id be like "NOOO UR GONNA BREAK MY NECK!!" and why hasnt a group of heels screwed Taker out of his 15-0 streak yet? that would be a master plan IMO in the heel locker room.

Never attempt to powerbomb Billy Kidman and never go to the top rope when against Kurt Angle.

Don't ever put your head down off of an Irish Whip. You'll get kicked. Don't punch Hulk Hogan multiple times. He'll no-sell them and Hulk up. Don't exchange chops with Kenta Kobashi. You'll lose. Don't put Davey Richards in a wrist-lock. You're going to get kicked. Don't put Austin Aries in a headscissors. You're going to get dropkicked. Don't exchange elbow strikes with Mitsuharu Misawa. You're going to get ed up. Don't exchange kicks with Toshiaki Kawada. You're going to get ed up. When you see KENTA giving you open palms, get ready to duck. If you're wrestling Curt Hennig, clothesline him over the top and watch him fly. If you're wrestling Owen Hart, DUCK HIS ENZUIGIRI! If Necro Butcher invites you to the middle of the ring with two chairs, don't agree to it. He's going to your ass up in the punch-off.

The most questionable move to me is the atomic drop....
think about it you lift someone up and drop them on their feet and you hit them with your knee when your foot is on the ground...
it 'don't make no damn sense'

If you see Hogan pointing his finger yelling "YOU!", don't punch him. How has any wrestler not learned this after 20+ years?

There is a simple answer to the Austin question (more specifically when it concerns Vince)...
McMahon is a cretin.
