Lesnar seemed to own the entire fight until the leglock. With more fights and training under his belt Brock will do very well in UFC.

Lesnar didn't do that bad. He left his leg out there too long and as usual, Mir capitalized on it with a nasty leglock. Inexperience costed him the match.

^ I don't think Lesnar did bad at all. Up until the knee-bar, he pretty much dominated the fight. He mauled him and just kept trying to pound away. It could've been the "Octagon shock" that got the better of Brock last night being his first big UFC fight and all.
I still think Brock did an amazing job and I can't wait for his next fight. I'm sure he'll do better.

Lesnar DID put up a fight. He controlled the fight for the first 1:29 landing hard punches and rocking Mir. He made a mistake and got caught. Lesnar did good last night, but was just overmatched against Mir. I think it's unfair to call him a bitch just because he got caught.

Lmao. Doesn't sound like he did too bad though. It's just funny how most people were claiming he'd " rape" Mir..

He took down Mir in 5 seconds and was in control for most of the fight. His inexperience cost him the fight, but he hardly looked like a bitch.

It shows that when its real Wretlers CAN'T FIGHT. And Ignorance has a name. Because one wrestler lost to a highly skilled fighter then all wrestlers can't fight? okay buddy.

I only watched it for the Lesnar match. Previews/Promos took about 45 minutes. Lesnar had it pretty good until the anklebar. Other then that I got wasted.

I thought Lesnar had pretty good control of the match until he made a mistake and got caught by Mir. Lesnar's game plan looked to me like he wanted to KO the life out of Mir, and Mir's was to wait for a mistake and capitalize on it with a submission. Brock got careless and in the end, inexperience lost him the fight. But IMO, Brock looked good in this fight and Mir's face says it all. Anyone who says Brock sucks or Brock should go back to the WWE should think again. Once he gains experience and more training, he can be extremely dangerous.

A lot of the replies in this thread alone are absolutely baffling.
None of the ones that are bothering me, have probably watched the fight, and even than... I imagine most just see "Mir defeats Lesnar" and have no clue how impressive Lesnar's debut was.
Did he lose, therefor being humbled? Affirmative.
Was he murdered, and stripped of any potential success he could have as a serious threat? No, nope, not one bit.
Dana White may have looked like a size queen, and media in general may feel like nostradamus, but truth is. Lesnar is a multi-faceted work in progress.

I wish he would have faced a powerhouse, like Chuck, or that black guy whose name escapes my mind.

I talked to a friend that ordered it and he said Brock looked pretty good but you could tell he was still a rookie. I'm thinking once he gets a few more fights under his belt he should do pretty good in UFC.
Anyone who honestly expected him to go in and kick ass from the start should have known better. He was walking into a new sport, and before someone calls me out on it I know he has had a few MMA fights, but nothing like headlining a UFC PPV. Give him some time and he will get better and eventually kick some major ass.

I almost pissed myself... really. Undertaker won't do autograph signings, hall of fame ceremonies, among other public appearances that conflict with his character. However, get him free seats and he'll toss integrity and morality out the window. Toss his integrity and morality out the window? Why, because he's appearing on camera for the fastest growing sport in the world? A LEGIT sports, I may add.

Also, I read Austin's lips. What he said, was "This is it, Brock. Here we go baby! Here we go. Here we go." boxing is a legit sport Yes, it is. Can't argue that.
