For a former world champ it is How is it a demotion when he had nothing before? Even with 3 world titles, WWE has a glut of Main Eventers...every so often, someone has to step back and win a mid-card title. Flair, Undertaker, Kane, Booker T, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, JBL, and even the mighty Triple H can all be counted amongst the former World Champions who later won mid-card titles. Batista is even challenging for the US title again for the second week in a row. In most of these cases, their careers turned out just fine.

It's a smart move. When Jericho came back he had lost a few steps. The IC title will bring him back up. Maybe next year or the year after he will be World Champ. Jericho was ready for the title in 2000. Its 2008. He's won three World Titles, main evented Wrestlemania, was hyped up for months as our "savior", re-debuted to an ovation, and feuded with the WWE Champion. Hell, his last three IC Title runs were steps backwards, this one is icing on the cake. JERICHO IS BY FAR MORE READY TO CARRY WWE THAN CENA, ORTON, LESNAR, MYSTERIO, LASHLEY, CHAVO, PUNK, AND EDGE EVER WERE. The IC Title, the beating by JBL, the DQ WWE Title match, and the MITB spot are all beneath Jericho.

I've seen Orton, Triple H, Cena, Edge, Batista, and Undertaker DOMINATE the main event scene, with sporadic losses of guys like Hardy and Michaels thrown in to keep people interested. And Flair had his last runs in a dead WCW and when he came to WWE, nobody was screaming "Champion, Champion!" anymore. Triple H was teaming with the WWE Champion during his IC Title reign. Kane was hardly a main eventer in a post-1999 world. He fits right in line with Hardy and Michaels. JBL was made to look like Boogeyman's bitch in his demotion to mid-card, and after getting crushed by both Cena and Batista, he didn't have much credibility. Booker T? People bitched when he was Intercontinental Champion because he was "so deserving of the World Title its not even funny." And Jericho? Hot of the presses, huge hype, big comeback . . . for the Intercontinental Title. Whoop-dee- ing-doo.

I wonder who's winning the MITB now? Oh, I forgot, the WWE just made it increasingly clear who will at mania, he rhymes Meth Par-dy.
This is going to be the worst mania ever.

I knew I should have stayed off this board. I live on the west coast, you know the one that's three hours behind the east? THANKS!!!! KEEP IT IN THE ING RAW THREAD!!!!!!!!Why should it be in the RAW thread? I'm discussing the general direction of the mid-card as well as Jericho winning thr strap. And stop complaining about spoilers. The majority of the board has seen RAW already, and I was under the impression that as soon as it's been aired in the U.S, it's fair game to be spoken about.

ON THE WEST COAST RAW DOESN`T END FOR ANOTHER HOUR! and at the time it first was posted that match was still in progress for those of us in Canada!

That was Hardy's first defense since like January. He should of been stripped for not defending. He's got a point.

How is it fair game when the west coast which features the U.S second largest city in L.A. hadn't seen it yet Not to mention Hawaii is two hours behind me. Again, I was just perusing the board when I saw JERICHO AS IC CHAMP!!!! I didn't have to read the thread to know what happened, that's what you call spoiling It's all in the title, you could have said "IC match tonight contains spoilers" Seriously, there needs to be a 24 hour policy in place that pertains to anything that happened on RAW not to be mentioned, if you spoil, you get a warning. Essentially all I'm saying is - IT'S INCONSIDERATE

It`s just a little consideration for other members.

OK then, I'm sorry and it won't happen again.
WWE.com and the WWE in general regard the East Coast airing as the results, and I was just going by that.
I'm sorry if anyone wants to kill me for spoiling a match.

Makes no sense unless Jeff wins MITB and uses it quickly. I really don't know if I want to see him as champ though... :\

lol this can't be what wwe envisioned when they brought him back, putting a dead belt on Jericho. As far as Hardy winning the mitb maybe so but He will and never should be the wwe champ.
