I sure hope not. That $20 million dollars would be a waste and It would be pretty stupid if the angle were to disappeir now after weeks of buildup in what is arguably the biggest storyline (Not the biggest match) going into Wrestlemania I don't really care what people say. I think this is a good thing for WWE. Heck, I was watching Sky Sports News here in the UK earlier- a channel that rarely EVER mentions wrestling- and they had a feature on Mayweather/Show. If that isn't good publicity then I don't know what is. I don't think this will be solely responsible for making wrestling "mainstream" again, but I do think It will increase interest in Wrestlemania. Could a wrestler have been used in his spot? Yes. But I think the sacrifice is worth it. If it goes right, it will be worth a lot to the company. I might be wrong, It may go tits up, but at least Vince took the gamble. I don't agree with Mayweather as a person, because he is a cocky SOB by nature. I respect his ability in the boxing ring, but that doesn't mean I like the guy. I guess I am trying to say that as much as I dislike the person I like what WWE is trying to do here. Proper wrestling fans may dislike this, and quite rightly so because it is not wrestling per se, but from the WWE's POV it is about increased interest. They wouldn't be paying $20 million if they didn't believe he could be useful.

He hardly hit the ground, infact I dont think he did hit the ground as there were wrestlers underneath him, then I just saw him grab his elbow.
He is definately not injured.

This angle is like us against them, and for some reason WWE wants us to hate Mayweather, and it is working.
I hope his elbow injury means his boxing Carree is over. I am really proud of the WWE on this one, they made me hate someone that I know nothing about, wow they're getting good at this.

Why do so many people want him to be injured? If you are a true fan of wrestling why don't you want this match to happen? Like it or not this is helping make wrestling main stream again, and we need that right now. Mayweather Vs. Show is going to sell PPVs like it as a wrestling fan or not. We are true fans of wrestling... that's why we'd rather not see some up-his-own-arse boxer taking up a WrestleMania spot that could've been used more productively, on someone more deserving. Like, ya know, a wrestler. Meh, it may help "make wrestling mainstream again", but I could do without it. If I have to sit through Mayweather saying he's gonna turn the W's in WWE upside down and break Big Show's jaw one more time, I think I'll break my own jaw to stop myself from shouting at the TV to get him the off my television. Wrestlemaina 1 Wrestlemaina 2 Wrestlemaina 11 Wrestlemaina 14 Wrestlemaina 15 Just to name a few

Probably add another angle to it, where he's broken his punching arm, so it will be out of us for his Wrestlemnia Match. Then at the end, he'll end up using it anyway, and 'knock out' Big Show for the win.

Maybe this is an angle where he overcames the odds by beating Big Show being injured.

Alright, you crazy mo'fo's Floyd Mayweather is not injured, it's a angle.
And by the way, they aren't throwing $20 million at this guy, thats a work too. He's reportedly only making $2-3 million for this Mania apperance.

He better be back in time for Mania. His match is one of the biggest. Also, I love this storyline.

I dont agree with you much, but this is one thing we have in common. This is going to help sell to boxing fans and MMA fans. Is it really? Mayweather has only been a PPV draw in last year os so for his bouts with De La Hoya & Hatton & the fact that he was facing strong opposition had much to do with that. I'm not convinced he'll bring over many boxing fans as in their eyes he's demeaning himself (despite the long line of boxers that over the years have ben involved in wrestling.) Can't see MMA fans giving a toss either unless mayweather was getting in there with BJ or Sherk Mayweather despite his incredible boxing ability does not have the cross over appeal that someone like Tyson has, to think he alone with restart an attutide era is freaking insane.

I think that Mayweather just earned some respect for wrestlers and has realised that it's not as easy or fake as it looks.

He landed on the wrestlers and they basically put him down safely as possible. That was the worst acting ever, how couldn't you tell?
