Figured I would post this here since Hart was mainly known in WCCW. And WCCW footage is owned by WWE. RIP Gary Hart. He was one of my favorite heel managers growing up.
from various sites
Gary Hart passed away yesterday afternoon at his home in Euless, TX, after returning from an autograph session in Allentown, PA. He was 66.
Hart would have been among the top wrestling managers of all-time and was a fixture in the Dallas area working for Fritz Von Erich. He was best known for managing people like Bruiser Brody, The Spoiler, Great Kabuki, Chris Adams and the Great Muta.
Hart was the heel manager used when Eddie Graham and booker Bill Watts turned Dusty Rhodes babyface in Florida in 1974. As a booker, he was the mastermind of the building of Kerry Von Erich in Dallas in the early 80s, and booked the famous Christmas 1982 cage match with Ric Flair that ignited the territory.

Not that it really matters, but this was reported in the classic section. It is still very sad news. And the fans that got to meet him before he passed, should consider themselves very fortunate to have met him one last time.

Another face from World Class goes.. There aren't many more WCCW alumnis left, which is REALLY sad..
I had the pleasure of watching Gary Hart in various stages of his career throughout my childhood via the World Class syndicate show and by video. I have a video around here somewhere of Gary Hart wrestling a trained bear.
66 is far too young.
Rest in Peace, Gary Hart.. you will be missed..

Man the stories he told on the wccw dvds were very informative. He was a great manager in his day too.

Hart was one man that I always feel will never be given enough credit for what he did with wrestling. So many things this guy masterminded. Its like everyone looks at Dusty Rhodes as a wrestler but dont know everything he did behind the scene. Gary Hart was the same way. He just looked like an everyday manager but mean so much more. and his beard was PRICELESS
BTW WWE.com has mentioned Harts death as well

On a bit of a happier note, the people who ran his last autograph section (K & S Promotions) had a Q&A with him, Skandor Akbar & Wild Bill Irwin. This should be released on their website soon. This really sucks. He was very cool to meet & hearing him & Skandor talk wrestling back & forth that day was excellent.
