I thought it was short, but I guess not. It's really too bad that he and Eddie only got one world title reign, and I really felt that Eddie was gonna win the World title the day he died (on the taped edition of SD). Plus the fact that Benoit was gonna win the ECW world title right before he died. Anyone else notice that Malenko is the only Radical that wasn't "cursed"? Eddie and Benoit died, and Saturn was shot in the back a couple of times after saving a girl from getting raped. Perry Saturn was also a Radical. And what a coincidence, I never noticed both died before winning a title  |

I loved Benoit's reign... he wasn't whored out on television when he was champ like a Cena or Triple H so it felt special/important when he made an appearance.

Benoit's title reign was awesome, it led to some of the best matches in '04 of course the match he won it in the amazing triple threat at WMXX, the Backlash rematch was awesome too making HBK tap out while everybody cheered you screwed Bret at Shawn and Hebner, awesome, vs. HHH at Vengeance, vs. HHH on RAW in an Iron Man, and of course the culmination of his reign at Summerslam vs. Randy Orton another one of the best matches I have ever seen. Have you forgotten that the whole time he had the belt the main storyline on Raw was HHH vs Eugene. He had no title feuds at all and actually ended up defending his title on Heat at one point....against Tyson Tomko. Anyone think Triple H or John Cena would ever defend their title on Heat against a career jobber? |
