I hate the the title "blue collar comedy" and everything that relates to it.

No because Jim Varney was funny.

Anyone else remember the Saturday morning Ernest show? I used to love that show.

I always loved Ernest Goes to Jail the most, it's kooky and somewhat Burton-esque, not to mention Jim plays TWO hilarious roles. It also has a bizarre theme song.

Haha, I just watched the Ernest film about basketball, with Kareem Abdul Jabbar in it, he made alot of film apperances.
I like Ernest, again like others said, i grew up on the films. I cant say im a fan of Larry AT ALL.

After the first Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Larry's stuff was the same jokes only worded differently. I hate all the rednecks around my town that think they have to quote him all the time and have decals/bumper sticker that say "GIT R DUN". It's so stupid and I feel as though I lost brain cells listening to some of these hicks.

The only reason people love Ernest is because they grew up with him. Anyone who would watch an Ernest film today would only like it for nostalgia purposes and nothing more. The Ernest movies sucked, people. I loved (and was scared ****less) by Scared Stupid, but it was not a good film. Move on with your lives. You were scared by Earnest Scared Stupid? AH HA HA!!!I was like, four when I first saw it. AH HA HA!!!

The troll in Scared Stupid was scarier than the troll(s) in the Troll horror films.

He may try to imitate Jim Varneys work. But he'll never compare to Varney, humor and straight out entertainment wise.

'Ernest Goes to Jail' was always my favorite. It's the only one I ever bought on DVD. There was a time (long ago) when I thought the opening scene of that movie was the greatest thing ever filmed.
