Well, I like a few US sitcoms, Scrubs, That 70s Show, Friends, and I love Whose Line, which consists of both Carey and Stiles, so was wondering if this was any good? I mean was it like T7S or Scrubs, like in comedy?

I don't watch Scrubs, so I can't compare it. But it was really funny. After about Season 3 it really picked up. It was a fun show where you could see the cast was having fun. Sometimes after a line you'll see someone try to hold back the laughter. You could tell they ad-libbed every now and then. It was fun. The last season was pretty boring though. But it didn't hurt to watch Cynthia Watros' cleavage every ep.

The Drew Carey Show is one of my favorite sitcoms, but I don't really care for the ones you listed as being your favorites. So maybe the show is not for you.

I thought it was a pretty good show. I used to watch it once it went into re-runs and came on a few different networks.
Someone who is on The Drew Carey Show that will you would be familiar with if you watch Scrubs is Christa Miller. She plays Jordan on Scrubs and she plays Kate on Drew Carey.
The one thing that I always thought was pretty funny about the Drew Carey show was that he always seemed to get decent looking chicks on there...when it's a given that he really wouldn't.

Yeah, TBH, seeing a familiar face was one of the things that brought me to thinking about this show And, lol at the Carey comment

The Drew Carey Show is one of my favorite sitcoms, but I don't really care for the ones you listed as being your favorites. So maybe the show is not for you. So, was it more of a Seinfeld type comedy? It is in the sense that it is driven by clever dialogue, albeit a different style of humor targeted at a different audience. But it doesn't resemble the Seinfeld method of having separate plot lines for each of the four main characters that are all melded together in interesting ways. Each episode usually follows one, maybe two unrelated situations instead of tackling the challenge of connecting four together.

I liked it quite a bit, even through my dislike of Drew Carey.

I liked the show, but it always seemed that Drew was trying too hard to be funny. It seemed more natural for the other cast members, whereas it seemed like he was going out of his way to insert a punchline/insult every few seconds. I recommend it because everyone else makes it a great show.

I thought the show was good, but Drew Carey made a point of having some element of song and/ or dance in EVERY episode.

Drew Carey was good up until maybe the last 2 seasons.
It must be a sitcom...that fat schlub got married like 5 or 6 times over the course of the show.

I loved, but being it was based in Ohio i was biased. Ohh and to the guy who said he couldn't get hot chicks in real life, his girlfriends are always hot ass stripers in real life.

I liked it quite a bit, even through my dislike of Drew Carey. Yeah, was a good show, Drew's just a horrible actor. But better than Jerry Seinfeld, meanwhile Seinfeld's my favorite show ever created.

I really liked the show. I started watching reruns of older episodes later on. I tried to keep up with the last couple of seasons but it was really difficult. They made a lot of unnecessary changes to the show. I think they were having trouble keeping their audience and changing cast members. I remember the show getting preempted a lot. Everyone seemed to give up on in the end.
