I looked back a few pages, and saw "best live bands" and "bands you hate" - sooo uhhh, if I missed a topic like this, my bad.
I've been listening to a LOT of the Street Dogs since I found out they're coming back to New Mexico when they tour in April. Great live show, awesome energy, and great to talk to.
So who've you been listening to a LOT lately, besides your typical favorites?

North Mississippi Allstars. I just saw them a couple of times and was blown away both nights. Luther Dickinson is definitely an unsung modern guitar guru.

I've been listening to Coheed and Cambria a ton, not as much as I was about a month ago, though.
Local band Radiation Year has been on my frequently played list lately.
Perhaps most notably is Chevelle, I'm not sure why - I mean I love their music and they're one of my favorites but I find myself being drawn to all their albums again lately, even though they don't have a whole lot going on right now.

She tries too hard to make cute songs I'm pretty big on Beulah, and Clues right now. I know, that's why I like them. They are just fun songs. They are corny, and filled with nerdy references, I'm cool with that. And anyone who works the Contra code into a song is ok by me.

Didn't know you were a fan of the pink? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, that's a recycled joke that I already used on one of my gay friends when he was talking about liking Pink. On a side note, I have always liked her stuff. Huh, I said I like her stuff.

I'm on a Fratellis and Shiny Toy Guns high.
I'm especially surprised on my Shiny Toy Guns kick, seeing as I usually don't like that sort of music.

Lately I've been listening to Beat Union quite a bit. I saw them in New Jersey while I was up there and I fell in love with their music. Plus the guys from the band are truly great fellas and don't mind chatting with fans for a while. Maybe its because they are doing their first tour of the USA but they really dug chatting with the fans after their set.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Good stuff. Particularly their album "Take It From the Man."
