14th January 2006
As the pyro goes of in the Impact Zone, a match card is showed showing that tonight’s main event is a huge eight man tag match featuring The LAX & AMW vs Team 3D & The James Gang.
Before the first match, Don West and Mike Tenay go through the matches at Final Resolution where they announce that another match has been made where it will be a X-Division Battle Royal to determine the new number one contender to the X-Division Championship.
Match One: Frankie Kazarian & Matt Bentley vs Shad Gaspard & Jayson Paul
Shad and Jayson had changed their look from Turning Point, as they were now wearing Jeans and Street Boots and they came down to a “ghetto” sort of theme for their theme music. During the match, Shad and Jayson looked as if they were going to pick up the win after the big man, Shad caught Matt Bentley who was looking for a crossbody and he slammed him down to the canvas with a powerslam. Bentley kicked out at the last minute and the match continued. The match came to an end when Frankie Kazarian connected with the Flux Cupacitator from the top rope to get the three count.
The camera turns to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing with Konnan & Hernandez, the Latin American Xchange. Konnan talks about not being happy having to team up with America’s Most Wanted tonight but he isn’t worrying about that because he knows that at Final Resolution, Hernandez and himself can defeat Kip & BG James and show BG it was wrong for him to ever chose Kip over Konnan.
A video plays hyping the newest wrestler to join TNA. The video only shows text, where it says that this guy is a former WWE Champion and that everyone better watch out because he will be soon arriving.
Match Two: Jay Lethal vs Jeff Jarrett
The second match of the night was pretty much a squash but Lethal did get in some offence. At one point, Lethal even connection with the Lethal Combination that nearly got him the three count but Jeff kicked out. Jarrett took control of the match with a eye rake and he kept momentum during the match to finally hit the stroke to get him the three count. After the bell, Jarrett smashed the guitar over Lethal’s head before yelling that he wants the NWA title back.
The cameras turn to the back where Eric Young is talking to his friend, Petey Williams, both men talk about Eric’s title match at Final Resolution and Eric tells Petey if he wins, Petey will get the first tile shot for his title. Petey thanks Eric but looks slightly unsure about Eric actually winning the title at Final Resolution.
The cameras then turn to another location where Jeremy Borash is standing by with “The War Machine” Rhino who rips in to both Samoa Joe and AJ Styles to basically hype their match at Final Resolution. Rhino then turns around and Samoa Joe charges right in to the War Machine with a tackle, sending both men crashing in to a heap of rubbish that was left in the corner, both men brawl before the camera cuts of back to the ring for the main event.
Main Event: LAX & AMW vs The James Gang & Team 3D
Pretty decent match, nice to see a different main event any way, during the match, Latin American Xchange and America’s Most Wanted kept BG James from getting the tag for most of the match till he got the hot tag in to Brother D-Von who cleaned house against all four of the opponents. Before long a big brawl began in the ring between the two teams and the referee lost all control as Kip and BG took turns with a chair to smash it across the head of Hernandez while Konnan was thrown out of the ring. What is with it with TNA and allowing weapons in normal matches? The finish of the match came with D-Von covering James Storm for the three count after the Dudley Death Drop. After the bell, the faces threw the heels out of the ring before celebrating to bring Impact before Final Resolution to an end.

The Final Resolution card is looking great. I'm glad that Kaz(arian) and Bentley got the win over Cryme Tyme. I must admit, I like the idea of having Cryme Tyme in TNA. You should try bringing in the Knockout's Title, and hire a few new Knockout's.

final resolution looks decent to say the least.
the main event is interesting, as is the lower card matches including the triple threat match. not to keen on young being Daniels challenger but it works i guess. shelley/aries as tag champs = awesome.

Yay you brought this back.
Impact was good although you seemed to miss a load of people out. No Abyss, Raven, Killings, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy. I just thought they are some of your main guys and for them not to be on it is a bit weird.
Opener was good. Please just start calling them Cryme Tyme already since obviously the change is coming along but its going too slowly that they need to be released if they dont change soon. Team of Frankie & Bentley is good.
LAX V JAmes Gang better end at Final Resolution. Not too interested in it at all.
Dont like you revealed a new signing on Impact you could have told nobody and kept it a huge surprise at the event. It would turn out a lot better that way.
Why did you have Lethal VS Jarrett. Match made no sense even for a squash. Does Jarrett even need to squash anyone. I would have done a different match containing more people from the main event or at least and angle with the others.
Finally the main event I didn't care about. Not interested in LAX(Needs Homicide) or The James Gang. 3D and AMW are good but thats all that was good with the match really.
Overall it was good but needed more. Did not seem like a normal show from you.
Also Final resolution is looking good.

TNA 2005 was a good year. I like that FR is gonna be a real good show. That Styles vs. Joe match should be amazing. I am pulling for Raven to win that World Title match. Anyway, hope Final Resolution is a good show. I will be looking forward to it.

Final Resolution goes on the air where a video package plays hyping all the matches during the event. While fans are still arriving at the arena, a pre-show match played where Charlie Haas got the victory over Roderick Strong. A firework display blasts around the Impact Zone and the cameras turn to the commentator’s table where Don West and Mike Teney welcome everyone to the Pay-Per-View.
Match One: TNA X-Division Championship: Christopher Daniels© vs Eric Young
The opening match for Final Resolution was for the X-Division Championship and surprisingly Petey Williams did not come down to the ring with his friend Eric Young, Eric however got a great response from the crowd and a lot of people were really rooting for him. During the match, Daniels got in all the hot spots that he normally does including the split legged monnsault and the running calf kick but Eric some how managed to kick out just before the hand went down for a three count. The match continued and Eric nearly won the title after a small package but Daniels got out of the pinning predicament. The end of the match eventually came with Daniels connecting with the Best Moonsault Ever to hook the leg of Eric Young for the three count. After the bell, Daniels wanted to connect with another Moonsault but Petey Williams ran down and pulled Eric out of the ring.
Match Two: The James Gang vs Latin American Xchange
The second match of the night saw a grudge match between two former friends in BG James and Konnan. During the match, Hernandez destroyed BG pretty early in the match with the Crackerjack but Kip broke the pin fall attempt. Konnan and Kip then got tagged in to the match and those two brawled around for a few moments before Kip managed to connect with a stalled suplex followed by a pin fall attempt but Konnan kicked out. Eventually, Kip connected with the Fame-Ass-Err on Hernandez but Konnan was arguing with the referee causing him not to see the pin fall attempt, nothing seemed to be going Kip and BG’s way and things for worse at the end of the match, Konnan once again began yelling at the referee allowing a mystery man to jump on the apron and he kicked Kip James in the back of the head, knocking him down to the canvas, this aloud Hernandez to hit the Border Cross on BG James to get the three count, After the bell, the mystery man turned out to be Low-Ki.
The cameras turn to the tunnel where Kevin Nash is hyping up Shelley and Aries about defending their tag titles next, all three men head down to the ring.
Match Three: NWA World Tag Team Titles: Alex Shelley© & Austin Aries© w/ Kevin Nash vs The Briscoe Brothers
The mystery team turned out to be ROH’s Briscoe Brothers who have now signed deals with TNA. During the match, the Briscoe Brothers brought their A games for their first match with TNA and they nearly won the tag team titles several times through out the match but the champions proved that they were fighting champions by kicking out over and over again. The match continued and Shelley connected with a kick to the gut, which was followed up by a running knee lift, knocking Mark Briscoe down to the canvas. Alex tagged in Austin who went up to the top rope and he tried connecting with a 450 Splash but Mark Briscoe rolled out of the way. The match continued for several more minutes but the end came with Shelley hitting the Frog Splash on Jay Briscoe, after the bell, Nash raised Shelley & Aries arms in the air but told them that the toughest challenge is yet to come because they will soon find out the number one contenders for the tag titles because of the Team 3D / America’s Most Wanted match.
The cameras turn to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing by with Ron “The Truth” Killings. Ron tells Jeremy that tonight he has the chance to become a three time NWA World Heavyweight Champion but he has to go threw three other people in Raven, Jeff Jarrett and the Champion, Abyss.
After the video, the cameras then turn to Larry Zybzsko’s office where Larry informs everyone that who ever gets pinned during the NWA World Title match tonight will not be aloud to go for the title again until the Champion has lost the belt.
Match Four: Falls Count Anywhere: Rhino vs Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles
All three men in the match put on a great show, which added to the match. During the match, Rhino was the first to bring out the weapons as he slammed a trash can against the head of Samoa Joe knocking him of the apron allowing AJ to go for a roll up on Rhino who managed to kick out. The match continued on and it ended up in the crowd where Samoa Joe threw AJ straight in to the wall head first nearly getting him the three count. The three competitors ended up fighting to the backstage area which saw AJ dive of the top of a top, crashing in to both men and Rhino attempting a Gore of a ledge but Joe managing to stop it by Kicking Rhino in the head. Some how, the match ended up back to the six-sided ring where AJ hit the pele out of no where, knocking Joe down to the canvas but then out of no where, Rhino hit the gore on AJ allowing him to get the three count. Rhino celebrated in the ring while Tenay and West made it clear that Samoa Joe was still undefeated.
Match Five: #1 Contender Match For the Tag Titles: Team 3D vs America’s Most Wanted
Great match from start to finish, these two teams just seem to have so much chemistry in the ring together. During the match, Bubba started of strong but Harris quickly used dirty tactics with the eye rake followed by the snap suplex to keep Brother Ray grounded. Chris Harris and James Storm tagged in and out for several minutes while they kept Brother Ray on the defensive. Bubba managed to hit a double clothesline eventually before diving across the ring and getting the hot tag to D-Von who began his build up rage with a series of clotheslines followed by a series of backdrops and even a surprising drop kick. Bubba then got his brothers attention and told him to get the tables but during this, Harris baseball slid the table causing D-Von to crash on the padded floor on the outside. America’s Most Wanted take full advantage as the referee is checking on D-Von, both men get chairs and they hit Bubba with the con-chair-to. Brother Ray tries to stay on his feet but James Storm quickly hits the Superkick before hooking the leg for the three count. After the bell, AMW quickly leave but look happy with them selves while D-Von checks on his brother in the ring.
Match Six: #1 Contender Battle Royal for the X-Division Battle Royal: Featuring Sonjay Dutt, Brian Kendrick, Charlie Haas, Jimmy Rave, Petey Williams, Elix Skipper, Johnny Devine, Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal & Psychosis
The battle royal saw the debut of Psychosis who entered at number five, he had a short run with TNA around their beginning but has been else where since then, note, he was wearing his mask. The final two men in the ring were Chris Sabin and Psychosis and the match became a singles match where both men put on a great show. Psychosis connected with a Super Huricirana from the top rope that nearly won him the match but Sabin just about got his shoulder up from the canvas. The match continued on and both men got near three counts to win the match but the end finally came when Sabin connected with the Cradle Shock to get the three count over Psychosis. The Champion, Christopher Daniels was on commentary during the match.
Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Abyss© vs Jeff Jarrett vs Ron Killings vs Raven
The main event of the night was hyped up with a video showcasing what’s happened in the title picture since Abyss won the belt of Jeff Jarrett back at Genesis. During the match, Jeff went straight for Raven while Ron Killings went straight for the champion with a dive but Abyss threw him down to the canvas with a spine buster like push. Raven and Jarrett began brawling on the outside of the ring where Raven hit the Russian Leg Sweep in to the barricade as Ron Killings got out of the Shock Treatment before knocking Abyss down to the canvas with a high angled crescent kick. Ron went for the pin but Abyss easily threw Killings of. Raven appeared back in the ring where he hit a running knee to Abyss who was on his knees trying to get back up to a vertical base. Abyss’ head whiplashes back and snaps of the canvas and Raven quickly goes for a pin fall attempt but Jeff Jarrett dives on top of Raven to break up the pin fall attempt. The match continues and all four men got spots in with their finishing moves which saw both Raven and Jeff Jarrett hit The Stroke and The Raven Effect DDT from the top rope but the pin fall attempt was still broken. Ron Killings then tried his luck as he hit the scissors kick on the outside while Jeff Jarrett’s head was under the bottom rope, but by the time Killings got the leg hooked, Raven was able to break it up. Jarrett turned around and got slammed with the Black Hole Slam from Abyss but the referee got knocked down during the slam. During this, Raven connected with the Raven Effect DDT on Abyss as soon as he slammed Jarrett and Raven was the only man standing in the ring, big shock moment came when Giant Bernard returned knocking Raven down with the bicycle kick followed by a sit down tree slam. Bernard placed Jarrett on top of Raven and he left the ring and the ref began a slow three count. At the last millisecond, Raven got his shoulder of the canvas and the crowd majorly popped while Giant Bernard looked stunned on the outside. The ref was still down after the pin fall, he tried to crawl to the ropes while Giant Bernard entered the ring again, this time he picked Raven up in to a powerbomb but he stumbled backwards towards the ropes and both men crashed to the outside. Jarrett then hit the stroke on Killings but before he could go for the cover, Abyss hit another Black Hole Slam on Jarrett. Abyss hooked the leg and got the three count from the referee. After the bell, Abyss holds the title in the air after retaining it once again.

Final Resolution was good.
Glad Daniels retained. Pissed Petey didn't turn. I hope he doesn't receive a push or anything since unless he is heel he sucks.
Dont care about James Gang VS LAX. Low Ki coming in is cool i guess although now it means the feud will continue so from now on Ill probably just ignore that feud.
Cool The Briscoe Brothers came to TNA. I hope they receive a big push in the future. Glad Shelley & Aries retained.
Rhino V Joe V AJ sounds like a great match. Cool to see Rhino win although if this leads to him receiving a big push then I am not interested. I just don't care for him anymore so he should stay in the midcard. Hope Joe gets the win in a rematch or singles rematch against one of them.
X Division Battle Royal sounds cool. Glad Sabin won. Hope Sabin feuds with Daniels for a while and becomes X Division Champ somewhere during it.
Main event was really good. Sounded like a great match. Hate that Bernard is back I was hoping you would release him during his injury. Abyss retaining is good. Hopefully his next challenger is Killings one on one. Jarrett now not receiving a title shot until the champ loses is good. Look forward to what you do with him while his out of the main event.
Overall nice show and looking forward to Impact.

the briscoes turning up was my fav part of the show, facing aries and shelley is just a bonus. glad sabin took the win in the gauntlet, and very glad abyss retained the title.
good stuff, some matches i wasn't really in to but the good far outweighed the bad.

It is expected for TNA to get a two hour timeslot in September of 2006, it is also expected for TNA to bring in their own titles if they eventually do get the two hour timeslot. The TNA TV Championship is also in talks to be brought in if TNA gets a two hour time slot.
TNA are trying to increase their tag team division dramatical by bringing in a few independent teams as well as eventually making some of their own. The Briscoe Brothers signed TNA contracts a few weeks before appearing at Final Resolution while Jayson Paul and Shad Gaspard are slowly getting turned in to "ghetto thugs"
Following the release of A-1 this past week, their is no word on what is going to happen with Bobby Roode who hasn't had a match since November, TNA want to build him up as a singles wrestler but no ideas have been confirmed.
Expect Jerry Lynn to return to action soon to give the X-Division a boost, TNA are still still trying to do another World X Cup but are currently struggling to get a date. Jerry Lynn wants to return to action as soon as possible.
Duo to Contract issues with the WWE, the former champion who was set to join TNA has been told that he can not wrestle for them until May. This took TNA by a bit of a surprise as they were already playing "text videos" to hype his debut. One would presume TNA will stop playing the videos till a later date.
The Road Agents backstage have been reporting that Brother Ray has been acting a pain backstage, no word on what seems to be the situation with him but several of the road agents have asked for Ray to be suspended for a month.
TNA are hoping to make the LAX a powerful stable in the future, with the signing of Low Ki, TNA are also in talks with Homicide in joining the company. Hernandez may be a big guy but he isn't considered main event material so will most likely not get the World Title, however, TNA do want to put both the Tag and X-Division titles on members of the LAX some time during 2006.

Final Resolution was a good show. Glad Daniels & Shelley/Aries retained their respective gold's and looking forward to Shelley/Aries taking on AMW and hoping AMW win the gold. I'm never really a fan of a battle royal on PPV expecially one to challenge for a secondary title, seems more like a TV match to me, but anyway glad Sabin won it. Abyss retaining is great, the ending was crazy, as it made everyone look still look strong, Bernard returning is good as well. Keep up the good work.

21st January 2006
As the pyro goes of in the Impact Zone, a match card is showed showing that tonight’s main event will be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Abyss vs Giant Bernard who returned last week at Final Resolution screwing Raven at becoming NWA World Champion.
Match One: The Briscoe Brothers vs Frankie Kazarian & Matt Bentley
The opening match of the night saw The Briscoe Brothers, Mark and Jay who debuted last week at Final Resolution come up short in winning the tag team titles take on the team that have been on a winning streak recently in Matt Bentley and Frankie Kazarian. During the match, The Briscoe’s tried to ground Matt and Frankie but they managed to fight back and eventually things went Kazarian’s way after he connected with a stalling dropkick that saw his right foot bounce right of Jay Briscoe’s jaw. The match continued and Mark Briscoe nearly won the match with a dragon suplex but Bentley just got his shoulder up. The end of the match came when Frankie looks to finish the match with the Flux Capacitor on Jay Briscoe but Shad Gaspard who had just jumped the guardrail with Jayson Paul jumped on to the apron and pushed both men of the top rope. Jayson Paul then punched all four men across the head with a chain wrapped around his knuckles. Shad grabbed a mic and he began to speak.
Shad Gaspard: Yo, me and my buddy Jay-Zin are here to make a statement, we are sick of being recognized as jobbers in TNA. The Ghetto Thugs (original, I know) are going to be the NWA Tag Team Champions weather or not we have to go through America’s Most Wanted, Team 3D, The Hardy Brothers, or these four chumps in the ring.
Shad then drops the mic and tells Jay-Zin to get ready, both men pick up Matt Bentley and they drop him down to the canvas with a Samoan Drop/Swinging Neckbreaker combination.
The cameras turn to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing with Matt Hardy; JB asks Matt how he has been treated so far here in TNA.
Matt Hardy: JB, the guys in the back couldn’t have treated me any bett…
Just then, Jeff Jarrett appears on screen and he snatches the mic out of JB’s hands.
Jeff Jarrett: Are you still here? Haven’t you had your 15 minutes of fame here yet Matt Hardy, why don’t you go back to Connecticut where you can arrange some more fake girlfriend stealing storylines.
That statement pushed Matt as he launched towards Jeff but Jarrett quickly darted back and laughed telling Matt that he better be careful. JB then reminds Matt that he has a match next.
Match Two: David Young vs Matt Hardy
Second match of the night was one of those matches where you knew who was going to win but you watched it anyway to see if you were “surprised” this was not one of those times. The match was basically all Matt’s apart from a few moments where David Young connected with his awesome Spine Buster that nearly got him the three count. After that, Matt quickly though back and he reversed a suplex attempt in to the Twist of Fate to get the three count. After the bell, Matt celebrated but as he turned around he was met with a guitar shot to the head from Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett began throwing abuse at Matt telling him “I told you to be careful”
The camera turns to the back where Jeremy Borash is now standing by with Konnan, Hernandez and Low-Ki of the Latin American Xchange. Konnan put over the other two men by saying that Hernandez is the strongest wrestler TNA will ever have while Low-Ki who already is a former X-Division Champion will most certainly get the belt again. Konnan didn’t put him self over as it seems he is slowly taking over as a manager instead of a wrestler.
The cameras then turn to another location where Chris Sabin is in Larry Zbyzsko’s office, it seems as if the conversation had only started before Samoa Joe charged in to the room and demanded a match against Rhino at Against All Odds with out AJ Styles. Larry agrees and he makes the match but he tells Joe that it won’t be a normal match, it will be a Last Man Standing match. Joe looks angry for a second or two before putting an evil smile on his face and telling Larry that he just caused the demise of “The War Machine” Rhino.
Main Event: Abyss vs Giant Bernard
The main event of the night was surprisingly good seeing as both guys are “Monsters” in the ring. Both guys brawled back and forth with no actual wrestling moves happening until Abyss eventually hit a sidewalk slam followed by a leg drop. The match continued and Bernard knocked Abyss down to the canvas with the Bicycle Kick that nearly got him a three count over the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The match continued and eventually Bernard connected with another Bicycle Kick that was sure to win him the match until the lights went out and Raven’s grungy entrance music began to play, surprisingly no Raven appeared but as Bernard turned around he was slammed down to the canvas with the Black Hole Slam from Abyss to get the three count. Abyss held his title in the air before making his way to the back. Just then, Raven slid in to the ring with a Singapore cane. He waited to Giant Bernard got to his feet and he struck the big man across the head with the cane twice before taking a page out of The Sandman’s book by connecting with the White Russian Leg Sweep. Raven leaves the ring but Bernard still gets up to his feet rather quickly. He slams his fists against his own chest telling Raven he wants more but Raven grins and walks to the back as Impact goes to an end.

Both booking and writing is fantastic in this diary. Loved the Hardy/Jarrett confrontation, really setting up things well. Bernard/RaVen = . Interesting to see who's going to go against Abyss in the long run. Good stuff, man.
