NOTE: My Stampede Diary is still my main diary but I got the idea for this and for some reason really wanted to do it. This will be updated whenever I have time to update both or when I just need a break from the Stampede one or have no ideas for it. Backstory Part #1:...The Monday Night Wars and the End of WCW:World Championship Wrestling...the name of the promotion is still remember by many fans...just think though...its been 5 years since WCW closed it doors and became part of the WWF franchise. 5 years may not be a very long time in general...but when you think about the war between the WCW and the WWF...it last years and now its been 5 years since WCW joined the WWF because Vince won the war. 5 years seems alot longer when you think about it that way. The WCW was originally Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling which were two different promotions under Jim Crockett Promotions. In 1988 however Crockett sold his promotions to WTBS which merged the two companies and deemed them World Championship Wrestling. This also lead to WTBS trying to break away from the NWA and changing the promotions names from NWA to WCW. Eventually WCW had its own World and Tag Teams title. It also renamed the NWA TV Title and NWA US Title which were the versions exclusive to Crockett Promotions to...the WCW TV Title and WCW US Title. In 1994 the WCW managed to take Hulk Hogan away from the WWF which in my mind was the beginning of the war...the spark that lit the fire so to speak. Hulk Hogan made his way to WCW having a high profile feud with Ric Flair which was long anticipated. However the true war did not start until 1995. Monday, September 4th, 1995 the WCW debuted its prime-time television show...WCW Monday Night Nitro which was on the TNT network and posed competition to the WWF's flagship prime-time show WWF RAW. This was the fuel that was added to the fire and made it into a battle...but a war? Not quite yet. In early 1996 the WCW began the full on war. Sunday, July 7th, 1996 marked the night of WCW Bash at the Beach 1996. The shows main event was scheduled to be The Outsides(Scott Hall and Kevin Nash who were stolen from the WWF earlier that year) AND a Mystery Partner vs Randy Savage, Lex Luger and Sting. At the end of the match Hulk Hogan made his way down to the ring and the crowd expected him to help the good guys in Randy Savage, Lex Luger and Sting...but that didn't happen. Hulk Hogan turned on the Savage and Sting(Luger had been "injured" earlier in the match) and the match came to an end as a no contest. After the match Hulk Hogan announced that combined...him, Hall and Nash were the New World Order of Wrestling.....The N....W.....O! This burnt all that was keeping the battle from becoming a war. The WCW and The WWF went at it head to head in a war over ratings and promotion status for years. WCW even managed to beat the WWF in the ratings for an astonishing 86 weeks securing the #1 promotion status for over a year. Both promotions used dirty tricks to gain there advantage. One of the most memorable things was WCW as it was going off air and WWF was coming on air had Tony Schivone read the spoilers to the taped RAW...Schivone let all the fans know that it wasn't worth watching RAW because now they knew...Mankind was winning the title from The Rock in the main event. Oddly enough however this backfired on WCW as it made the viewers want to tune into RAW to see Mankind win the belt. Another memorable trick this one pulled by the WWF was when the WWF and WCW were booked for the SAME arena on the same night and the WWF was forced to cancel...so what did they do? They sent a camera crew and there number one stable...Degeneration-X to crash WCW's party. The war went on from 1995 to 2001...why only that long? Simple...In March of 2001 the WWF bought out the WCW... the WCW died and officialy became part of the WWF. This lead to an invasion angle which left a bad taste in many fans mouthes. In 2002 Eric Bischoff signed a contract with the now WWE and became General Manager of the RAW Brand after RAW and Smackdown split up into two brands. This has stayed the same since...but now its May 2006...its been over 5 years since the buy out...so why are we talking about this? You'll see soon.... .........Next up "Backstory Part #2: Backlash results and the press conferance.

Backstory Part #2:...Backlash Results and the Press conference:WWE Backlash Sunday, April 30th, 2006:WWE Tag Team Title Match: Kenny and Mikey d. The Big Show and Kane after outside interferance from the other members of the Spirit Squad to retain the tag titles. Carlito d. Chris Masters after a chairshot and the The Backcracker! WWE Women's Title Match: Mickie James d. Trish Stratus and Victoria after hitting Victoria with the Tornado DDT and Trish with the Stratusfaction and pinning Trish. WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Shelton Benjamin d. Ric Flair with the Exploder Powerslam afterwards Benjamin and Flair shook hands. WWE World Title Match: Edge d. Triple H and John Cena...during the match John Cena got angry and the ref was out. Cena got in the ring with a chair and cracked both HHH and Edge in the heads with it. Cena then cut a promo calling the fans no good peices of trash and telling the fans that they ruined him by being the idiots and turning on the good guy. Cena then said that the bad guy is coming back and they can expect a meaner John Cena. The match eventually continued with Edge hitting Triple H with a Spear for the win. WWE World Title Match: Rob Van Dam d. Edge after the 3-way Rob Van Dam came out and said his Money in the Bank couldn't be used at any better time than now. Van Dam went to the ring and him and Edge wrestled for about 6 minutes before Van Dam finally got Edge down and hit the 5-star Frogsplash! Shawn Michaels d. Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon it was announced that GOD was simply a nicer term for a handicapped match. Somehow however Shawn managed to pull through as he hit Vince with a stunning Sweet Chin Music followed by a Sweet Chin Music sending Shane over the top to the floor letting Shawn have the time to pin Vince. The Press Conference:The next day May 1st, 2006 a special announcement was made. The announcement was that a press conference would be held that day at 2pm. The press conference aired over WWE.com. The cameras were rolling and everyone was sitting at there computers waiting to see what this big surprise press conference was going to be about. Finally 2pm rolled around and Vince McMahon took the podium and began to deliver a very heart felt and emotional speech. Vince McMahon: Hello...I am speaking not as Vince McMahon the performer...but as Vincent Kennedy McMahon the person. I've been in this business for years. It has been my life, it is the family business truthfully. I'm now 60 years old and my entire adult life has been dedicated to this business. Its been awhile since I was able to sit back and simply watch wrestling....... Vince begins to get teary eyed and he continues to speak. Vince McMahon: At 60 years old I have participated in a business that I love for aslong as I can remember. I've done everything i've ever wanted to do in professional wrestling. I've been the owner of a the #1 wrestling company in the world for almost 30 years. I've had the chance to be part of the most revolutionary time in pro-wrestling AND be a key aspect in it...the Monday Night War. I actually managed to BUY OUT my competition! I've wrestled in the main event, i've been World champion. I've had what some could argue have been the most exciting matches ever. Whats left for me to do? I'm 60 yeard old...I have a good 10-20 years left in me...I love this business...but i've done all i've ever wanted. So... Vince begins to cry slightly but continues to speak. Vince McMahon: Like I said....its been a long time since I have been able to sit back, relax and just watch wrestling...its been a long time since I got to be a fan. If I only have 10 or 20 years left...I want to have fun...I want to be a fan again. So...it is with that, that I tell you...I am officialy resigning as the Owner and Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment..... The crowd gasps as Vince McMahon looks around and continues to speak. Vince McMahon: Now...the question thats been all your minds i'm sure has been who would I hand the company over to when I finally left? Well...I have no problem announcing that the new owners and the people in complete control of this company...my daughter Stephanie McMahon...and her husband, my son in law...Paul Levesque...known to you as Triple H. The few fans at the press conferance boo and Vince asks for a hush. Vince continues to speak. Vince McMahon: But...what I always wanted to go back and watch was that revolutionary time in this industry...the Monday Night Wars. Now, I know they will never be duplicated. But...I can atleast try and see how it will be. So i've...given away the WCW it is no longer a promotion that is under the WWE. As of today my son Shane McMahon has signed papers making him the official and legitamate owner of the WCW name, likeness, and everything that comes with it! I've also signed over rights to WWE Friday Night Smackdown to my son Shane...which will now be known as WCW Friday Night Nitro! With that said...i'm officially done, I am ready to live the rest of my life as a fan. Thank you for all you have given me. I thank this business for all it has given me. And thank you fans for supporting me...no matter how much you may hate me. Its been a fun ride...but its now time to step down. Goodbye. With that Vince McMahon left the podium leaving the crowd of people in shock that Vince McMahon has resigned, the WWE is now under ownership of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon AND THAT WCW IS COMING BACK WITH SHANE MCMAHON AS THE OWNER!!!!!!!!!!!! Next up "Backstory Part #3: Shane's signings, WCW lifts off, the first show is announced!

Backstory Part #3:The Signings and WCW's first sign of lift off:Once Shane McMahon acquired World Championship Wrestling he went into talent acquisition mode. Shane looked through all of the WWE contracts that he still had access to and made notes of the contracts which were close to expiring. The Return of WCW Nitro, September 8th, 2006:World Championship Wrestling makes its return to National TV Friday, September 8th, 2006 with a live showing of WCW Friday Night Nitro on the UPN Network! NOTE: MQ= Match Quality, CR= Crowd Reaction, OR= Overall Rating. The Return of WCW Nitro: 6 Team Tournament for the WCW World Tag Team Championships, September 8th, 2006:Shane McMahon introduces the crowd and anyone watching at home to the show:The old NITRO theme plays with a new video and when it cuts to the arena the camera does a pan of the building seeing the fans going crazy. Eventually "Here Comes the Money" hits and the crowd begins to cheer as Shane McMahon comes through the curtain. Shane walks down to the ring with a microphone, Shane enters the ring and begins to speak.
Shane McMahon: You know I remember March 26th, 2001...I came through the curtain at the WCW Nitro event and announced that I had bought WCW instead of my father. I'm sure you all realize that was not the case. But now I get to say that Stepember 8th, 2006, I walked to the ring on a WCW Nitro TV showing. Took the microphone and announced to the world that I, Shane McMahon, LEGITAMATELY own World Championship Wrestling! I welcome you all to the return of WCW Nitro and tonight you will see alot of action! Tonight you will see a tournament to crown the new Tag Team Champions of the NEW WCW! So thank you for your support and welcome to WCW Nitro...3.....2.................1........START THE SHOW!!!!!
Shane McMahon leaves the ring and heads to the announce booth which the camera cuts to before the first match.Overall Rating: 74%Bobby Heenan: The WCW is back and The Brain is back in the announce booth!
Mike Johnson: I have to be the first to thank Shane McMahon for bringing the WCW back and for giving me the chance to be an announcer for this great promotion.
Bobby Heenan: Already sucking up are we Mike? I think the fans are waiting for the first match of the New WCW!WCW Tag Team Title Tournament Match #1: Second City Saints(CM Punk and Colt Cabana) vs The Stampede Bulldogs(TJ Wilson and Harry Smith):Very good match between 4 of the top independent stars of this generation. The finish saw Harry Smith go crazy after TJ tagged out to him after being beaten up for a good few minutes. Harry started forearming, chopping, clotheslining, and elbowing the hell out of both Punk and Cabana. Harry hit Punk with the Diego Spinning back suplex followed by hitting Cabana with the Diego Bridging back suplex which was held onto for a pin but only managed to secure Harry a 2 count. The crowd was chanting "BULLDOG! BULLDOG!" as Harry went for a powerbomb onto Colt Cabana. However Cabana managed to go right over Harry's shoulder and catch Harry with a low blow. CM Punk climed to the top rope as Cabana set Harry up for the Colt 45. CM Punk however started yelling for Cabana to lift Harry to the top for the Pepsi Plunge. Cabana let go of Harry and began to argue with Punk. TJ jumped off the apron and ran around the ring pushing Punk off the top rope. Cabana went to punch TJ on the apron but TJ ducked and Cabana spun. As Cabana spun Harry caught Cabana with a kick to the gut. Harry picked Cabana up in a powerbomb and TJ springboarded catching Cabana in a Blockbuster Neckbreaker as Harry powerbombed Cabana, Mike Johnson called it "The History in the Making" and Harry held onto the powerbomb for the 3-count. The Stampede Bulldogs celebrated as Nitro cut to a commercial.Winners: The Stampede Bulldogs(TJ Wilson and Harry Smith) MQ: 90%, CR: 63%, OR: 68%Commercials are shown. Second City Saints arn't happy:The show returns backstage at the interview area where CM Punk, Colt Cabana, and CM Punk's valet Maria are standing. CM Punk begins to speak.
CM Punk: What you watching at home and in this arena just saw was what we call a travesty. My little buddy Colt Cabana here was obviously intoxicated weather it be with, alcohol, drugs or just pure stupidity! You do not argue with me. I'm CM ing Punk! I'm superior to all these people...i'm the top of the totem pole! Whats wrong with you?
Colt Cabana: Like dude...I was going for the Colt 45 and you decided like, you wanted to do the Pepsi Plunge instead. Like, i'm sorry but the Colt 45 is a WAYYYYY cooler move than a move ripped off of TRIPLE H just done off the top rope! Jeesh!
CM Punk: HEY TAKE THAT BACK! I DIDN'T RIP ANYTHING OFF OF TRIPLE H!
Colt Cabana: Whatever dude, go have a cigarette with your girlfriend there.
CM Punk: I'M STRAIGHT EDGE GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!!! I'm not gonna bother...i'll see you next week...baby lets go!
CM Punk grabs Maria and they walk out of camera range as Cabana looks at the screen.
Colt Cabana: Well...that was interesting!
Cabana walks out of camera range aswell as the screen cuts back to the ringside area and the announce table.Overall Rating: 74%Shane McMahon: I must say that was quite the match to open the new WCW Nitro with!
Mike Johnson: I have to agree with you there Shane. Great match from those four up and coming young stars. I can see big things in there future! Except CM Punk really needs to get his attitude in check.
Shane McMahon: I agree there Mike. Just because he is what he called "Straight Edge" and a fairly big star on the independent scene does not mean he has the right to come in here and act that way especially towards his tag team partner.
Bobby Heenan: O COME ON! That ruled, you guys should try and be straight edge like him to! I'm trying, look i've got my straight edge kool-aid and arm patch right here!
Mike Johnson: ...Well...Wait a minute theres a limo arriving backstage...who could it be?The Arrival of The Man! WOOOOOOOOO!:The screen cuts to the arena parking lot where a limo pulls up. The camera runs towards the back door of the limo as the driver steps out of the vehicle to open the door. The door opens and RIC FLAIR steps out of the limo. Flair looks around and says...
Ric Flair: ...Its good to be back...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Flair then heads to the locker room area as the screen cuts to commercial.Overall Rating: 91%Commercials are shown. WCW Tag Team Title Tournament Match #2: Psico Crazy(Psicosis and Super Crazy) vs The Next Generation(Jack Evans and Roderick Strong):Very good match that really showed the ability of Jack Evans and Roderick Strong to the main-stream fans that may not have seen them before. The end saw Psicosis tag out to Super Crazy after Roderick Strong had missed a flying legdrop. Roderick tagged out to Jack who ran in but got caught quick with a clothesline from Crazy. Jack went flipping and twisting onto his face out of the clothesline as the crowd cheered. Strong got up and ran at Crazy but got hit with a nice dropkick. Jack got up and ran at Crazy again but Crazy sent Jack up high in the air with a crazy backdrop that sent Jack doing a 450 to his face. The crowd cheered as Super Crazy yelled and Roderick Strong got up. Strong began to punch at Crazy when Psicosis ran in. Psicosis leapfrogged over Crazy and caught Strong with a dropick sending him out to the floor. Psicosis then went for a plancha but Strong dropped to his back with his knees tucked and Psicosis landed brutally with his mid-section over Strong's knees. In the ring Crazy slammed Jack infront of the corner and climbed to the top. Crazy moonsaulted back and landed it but Jack managed to kick out at 2. Crazy picked Jack up and set him on the top rope. Crazy went to the top aswell and called for a Super Brainbuster. Strong slid in the ring and began to distract the ref as Austin Aries ran to the ring with a chair. Aries jumps up onto the apron and cracks the chair over Crazy's back. Crazy falls off the top and Jack quickly stands up on the top and goes flying through the air with a 630 SENTON SPLASH!!!!! The crowd goes crazy as some of the fans have never seen a move like that before. Jack makes the cover as Strong stops distracting the ref.....1.....2...3! The Next Generation take the win! The screen cuts to commercial as Strong, Jack and Aries celebrate.Winners: The Next Generation(Jack Evans and Roderick Strong) MQ: 85%, CR: 46%, OR: 58%Commercials are shown. Mike Johnson: What the hell was that? The Next Generation just ruined what was a great match by having Austin Aries interfer!
Bobby Heenan: What are you alking about? You do whatever you have to do to win and they did it...I do say they're a good group. Key component of a group...know when to use it to your advantage! They obviously know.
Shane McMahon: Sorry Brain, I gotta agree with Mike. That was not right! Wait a minute.....whats this?!Edge is not happy:"Metalingus" by Alter Bridge hits and Edge bursts through the curtain with a microphone in hand and Lita by his side. Edge doesn't look pleased as he walks to the ring. Edge enters the ring and begins to speak.
Edge: What the hell is up with this show? I signed a contract saying I would leave the WWE for WCW. So I show up to this arena today and what do I see on the board for matches?! I'M NOT EVEN ON THE SHOW! The show is some tag team tournament that is filled with WWE jobbers and indy guys? The only people in this tournament that have done anything worth note are The Outsiders AND THEY'RE HAS BEENS! Do you know what the main event of this show should be? It shouldn't be a three team tag title match, it shouldn't even be a MATCH, it should be me, being awarded the WCW World Championship! I was the WWE World Champion...well ok Rob Van Dam won the belt from me...but where is he? Huh?! Thats right that loser isn't even here tonight! The way I see it, if i'm not going to be awarded the WCW World Championship tonight, I SHOULD ATLEAST HAVE A MATCH! I'm EDGE! I'm the god damn R-Rated Superstar! The 3 weeks that I was WWE champion after New Years Revolution were the HIGHEST RATED WEEKS FOR WRESTLING PROGRAMMING IN YEARS! WHY THE HELL AM I NOT ON THIS SHOW.........
Suddenlly some music begins to play and Chris Benoit comes through the curtain with a microphone in hand. Benoit looks around at the crowd who are going crazy as Edge looks angry in the ring. Benoit stops looking at the crowd and looks directly towards the ring and Edge. Benoit begins to speak.
Chris Benoit: Well Edge. If you're so distraught over not being on this show, why don't you wrestle ME, CHRIS BENOIT RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?!?!?!
The crowd cheers as Benoit drops the microphone and starts to walk towards the ring. Benoit begins to run and he slides into the ring but Edge drops to his back and rolls under the bottom rope as does Lita. Edge walks around the ring and begins to back up the entrance ramp and speaks as he does.
Edge: Wow wow wow! I never said I WANTED to wrestle tonight. I said I should be. If I don't have to...i'm not going to. But next week Benoit, i'll have an opponent here for you. He's a good friend of mine and one of your old buddies. But thats next week...until then, i'll be back home with Lita, alright? Next week Benoit you'll face my opponent for you.
Edge leaves as Benoit's music plays again and he leaves as the screen cuts to the announces.Overall Rating for Edge promo: 87% Overall Rating for Benoit challenge, Edge decline, and announces he has a mystery opponent for Benoit next week: 72%Shane McMahon: What is wrong with Edge? He knew tonight was going to be a tournament for the tag titles. He didn't have to show up!
Bobby Heenan: Yea but if he didn't show up i'm sure you and whoever else in the back would have suspended him or something.
Shane McMahon: That is not true! No one had to be here tonight unless they were in that tournament anyone who is here not in the tournament made the choice to be here!
Mike Jonhson: Calm down guys, we've gotta get to the final match before the main event, the Outsiders vs Paul London and Brian Kendrick!WCW Tag Team Title Tournament Match #3: The Outsiders(Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs Paul London and Brian Kendrick:Kevin Nash and Scott Hall controlled this match which wasn't surprising. London and Kendrick essentialy got killed. The end came when London and Kendrick threw caution to the wind and both got in the ring at the same time. London and Kendrick began to use there speed to try and gain an advantage on Nash and Hall who at this point seemed unstoppable. Finally Nash and Hall were leaning against the ropes in pain and London and Kendrick ran towards them. Kendrick jumped in the air and caught Hall with a leg lariat that sent Hall backwards over the top rope to the floor. At the same time London caught Nash with a dropkick to the stomach that sent Nash through the area between the top and middle ropes to the floor. Nash and Hall got up as London and Kendrick ran across the ring and hit the ropes on the opposite side. They ran back and went flipping over the top rope onto Nash and Hall hard. Nash and Hall went down as Kendrick and London hit the floor pretty hard. London and Kendrick however had the adrenaline pumping as they picked Kevin Nash up and rolled him into the ring. Kendrick stayed on the outsided stomping on Hall as London climbed to the top rope. London yelled and set up for the Shooting Star Press. The crowd cheered as London went flying through the air but missed Nash who rolled out of the way. London lands hard on his stomach and Nash picks him up. Nash looks back and sees Kendrick on the apron. Nash turns and Kendrick goes to springboard but Nash punches him. Kendrick falls and lands sitting on the apron. Hall comes up from behind and grabs Kendrick in the crucifix position. Hall then falls to his knees and tosses Kendrick forward with a crazy Outsider's Edge sending Kendrick onto his shoulders rolling through onto his stomach ON THE FLOOR! In the ring Nash grabs London now and picks him up in a powerbomb. London is up and Nash lets go of London and London falls back landing on his head crunched with the Jacknife Powerbomb! Nash makes the cover....1......2.....3! The Outsiders advance!Winners: The Outsiders(Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) MQ: 89%, CR: 69%, OR: 71%Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan...backstage:We cut to the backstage area where we see Ric Flair walking through the halls. Suddenly a door opens and Hulk Hogan is standing infront of Ric Flair. Flair and Hogan stare at each other. Hogan begins to speak.
Hulk Hogan: Brotha, just get out of here, you're yesterdays news!
Ric Flair: And you arn't? I'm still the man! WOOOOO!!!!! You're nothing!
Hulk Hogan: We'll see about that!
Ric Flair: When? Are you and your buddies Hall and Nash gonna try and take me out? Are we going to go back in time to the beginning of the NWO? Are you guys gonna try to hurt me?
Hulk Hogan: No brotha! I'll give ya' a fair chance. At War for the Gold! I know one way or another brotha, we'll end up wrestling each other in that tournament for the WCW World title!
Ric Flair: Tournament?!
Hulk Hogan: Ah...brotha, you'll find out next week...peace!
Hogan walks away as Flair looks puzzled and the screen fades to the final commercial break.Overall Rating: 88%Commercials are shown. Shane McMahon: What the hell is Hogan talking about? I haven't even heard anything about this tournament!
Bobby Heenan: Well...I guess the owner is always the last to know.
Shane McMahon: You knew?!
Bobby Heenan: No, its just fun to bug you.
Mike Johnson: Well...you guys bug and bicker with each other. We have to get to the finals of the WCW Tag Team title Tournament!WCW Tag Team Title Tournament Finals(Match #4): The Next Generation(Jack Evans and Roderick Strong) vs The Outsiders(Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs The Stampede Bulldogs(TJ Wilson and Harry Smith):Really good match here. The Outsiders weren't in the ring very long. When they were they were pretty much dominant. That was until Kevin Nash got into the ring with Harry Smith. Harry forearmed and chopped the living hell out of Nash. The crowd was cheering Harry on as he managed to pick Nash up and hit him with the Running Powerslam but the pinfall was broken up at the 2-count by Roderick Strong. The match went on and about in the middle Jack Evans found himself in the ring with Kevin Nash. Jack started to do whatever he could to knock the big man over. Jack ran at Nash and Nash swung for a clothesline by Jack ducked. Jack jumped to the top rope and went for a Whisper in the Wind like move but Nash caught Jack. Nash threw Jack down quick with a Jacknife Powerbomb! Jack looks dead when suddenlly Roderick Strong pulls Jack from the ring as Austin Aries runs down to the ring. Aries and Strong pick Jack up and help him to the back. The Next Generation are not seen for the rest of the match from there so the referee allows Harry Smith in the ring. The match continued as The Outsiders vs The Stampede Bulldogs. The crowd were heavily cheering on Harry Smith letting out some loud "BULLDOG! BULLDOG!" chants. Harry eventually got cut off with a harsh big boot from Nash. This lead to The Outsiders taking a fairly long advantage on Harry Smith. The crowd was split as The Outsiders beat down on Harry. Eventually Kevin Nash was in the ring. Nash ran at Harry but Harry managed to big boot Nash. Nash stumbled back spinning around with his back to Harry. Harry hooked Nash and managed to hit him with a Diego Back Suplex. It was not as crazy as usual or as brutal but it was huge considering it was done to Nash. Nash managed to make the tag to Hall but right as that happened Harry made the tag to TJ Wilson. TJ springboarded and flew across the ring hitting Hall with a dropkick. Hall went down and Nash got up. Nash ran at TJ but TJ ducked a clothesline. TJ waited for Nash to turn around and caught Nash with a nice leg lariat that sent the big man stumbling back into the ropes. TJ kicked Nash's knee which sent Nash down to one knee infront of the ropes. TJ laids Nash over the bottom rope with Nash's throat on the rope. TJ slingshotted himself over the top and leg dropped the back of Nash's head. Nash's throat went into the rope and Nash rolled out of the ring as TJ got back in. TJ grabbed Hall and hit Hall with a quick slam. TJ springboarded and flew hitting the Swan-Dive Elbow Drop. The crowd cheered as TJ went for the cover...1......2.....KICK OUT!!!!! The crowd continues cheering as TJ goes for a springboard leg drop...BUT HALL MOVES!!!! TJ lands hard and Hall gets up slowly. Hall picks TJ up and lifts him for the Outsider's Edge but Harry jumps in the ring and kicks Hall in the stomach. Hall drops TJ over the top and TJ lands on his feet on the apron. Harry picks Hall up in a powerbomb and TJ springboards...but Nash gets in the ring and pushes Hall from behind. Harry falls back with Hall landing ontop of him. TJ has no where to go now as he is on the top from the springboard. TJ flips forward catching Nash with the blockbuster. TJ yells and runs at Hall who is now standing. Hall squats and throws TJ up. TJ lands on the second rope and gets ready for something but Hall spins and forearms TJ in the back. Hall grabs TJ off the second rope in the crucifix position...Hall falls forward throwing TJ. TJ flies across the ring and lands harsh on his upper shoulders. Hall crawls towards TJ and makes the cover.....1......2.......3! THE OUTSIDERS ARE WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!Winners and NEW WCW Tag Team Champions: The Outsiders(Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) MQ: 83%, CR: 64%, OR: 65%Celebration...RUINED:The crowd is cheering as Hall and Nash are celebrating. TJ and Harry head to the back as Nash and Hall continue there little celebration. Nash calls for a microphone...Nash is handed the microphone and he gets ready to speak when out from the crowd come all 3 members of The Next Generation who just walked out of the 3-way team match! Aries has a chair and he hits Hall in the back hard with the chair. Hall stumbles forward into a sick Half-Nelson Backbreaker from Roderick Strong. Nash runs at Strong but Strong catches Nash with a hard forearm. Nash stumbles back and turns around into a dropkick from Jack Evans. Nash stumbles backwards into Strong and Aries who pick Nash up and drop him on his back with a double back suplex. The crowd is booing as Nash is in one corner out of it and across from there horizontally is Hall out in the other corner. Roderick Strong stands in the middle of the ring with his arms out as Aries and Jack climb to the top. Aries and Jack go flipping at the same time and Aries hits Hall with a 450 Splash and at the same time Jack hits Nash with a crazy 630 Senton Splash. The crowd boos as Jack and Aries get up and stands beside Strong. The 3 members look around and smile as the show ends.Overall Rating: 73%Overall Show Rating: 74%

Liike, why the hell was like Colt Cabana saying like every 3 words? Seriously, good show, aside from the Outsiders winning. Where's the love for the Second City Saints?

Good Show, the only thing that bugs me was the lack of "Steller" matches, especially for the return of WCW. I know that you had to crown the Tag Team Champs right away, and my other problem is that Super Crazy and Psicosis should won, considering they're more popular than The Next Generation (in terms of Marks) But I'm glad that the Outsiders won, it'll bring the value up, and more importantly, it will get the next team over. Good Nitro, Lack of Steller Matches..

WCW Nitro Preview for September 15th, 2006:The last Nitro saw WCW Tag Team champions crowned in a tournament. The tournament went over well seeing The Stampede Bulldogs advance past The Second City Saints, The Next Generation advance past Psico Crazy, and The Outsiders advance past London and Kendrick. This lead to the 3-team main event that saw The Next Generation LEAVE the match after Jack Evans had been Jacknife Powerbombed to hell! No one from The Next Generation was pinned...they simply left leaving The Outsiders and The Stampede Bulldogs. Not surprisingly The Outsiders took home the titles after Scott Hall hit TJ Wilson with a brutal Outsider's Edge. After the match The Next Generation all came back out to the ring and ruined The Outsiders celebration as they attacked The Outsiders. The show ended with the three members of The Next Generation standing in the ring between Hall and Nash who were both out of it in the corners. Will Nash and Hall get revenge? Will The Next Generation continue there attempt to become the franchises of WCW? Not only that but also last week a heated confrontation occured with Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan backstage. Flair and Hogan bad mouthed each other to the crowds delete...then a little slip of Hogan's tongue revealed that there would be a tournament for the WCW World Title! Hogan also mentioned a show entitle WCW War for the Gold! When Flair asked what Hogan meant, Hogan simply said he'd find out next week. What will we all find out? Will there be an announcement tonight about this alleged tournament and show? What else happened last week? Ah yes, the event leading into our MAIN EVENT! Edge came to the ring and went on one of his usual rants. This time it was in a WCW ring and Edge was angry he wasn't being awarded the World Title and was not even on that weeks show. It didn't take long for a future WCW Legend in Chris Benoit to come walking through the entrance as the crowd let out a roar of cheers for him. Benoit said he'd face Edge tonight and charged the ring. Edge backed off and said he didn't WANT to wrestle tonight he just thought he should be on the show. Edge said that next week he would have a mystery opponent for Benoit. Next week is now here and who will be the mystery opponent? Will Benoit fall to the mystery opponent? Or will Benoit secure his first victory in the NEW WCW? PLUS! Fit Finlay will be in action this week against Chavo Guerrero! Rob Van Dam will be in the building! We will also see The Second City Saints vs Paul London and Brian Kendrick! Don't miss WCW Nitro, Friday night beginning at 8pm/est on the UPN Network!

Man, this is a great diary. Although, seeing Edge in WCW is...odd. As Kemp said, it lacked steller matches. IYAM, the main event should've been some kind of 'big' match. 'Glad to see The Outsiders back, but not with Tag Gold. I think the Mexic- I mean Psico Crazy should've won None the less, great work man. I love reading this. Keep it up.

WCW Friday Nitro: Chris Benoit vs Results for September 15th, 2006:Recap of Last Week:A video plays as you hear the crowd cheering in the background. It shows clips from The Stampede Bulldogs d. The Second City Saints, The Next Generation d. Psico Crazy and The Outsiders d. London and Kendrick. Once those clips are finished the music finishes playing and some regular background promo music plays. First it highlights the Edge/Chris Benoit confrontation that leads to the main event tonight, followed up by a clip of the Flair/Hogan confrontation. The video finishes off with a clip of The Next Generation leaving during the main event and the finish of the main event for the tag titles. The video then turns blue in color and shows The Next Generation hit the ring and begin to beat down on The Outsiders. The video fades out to black with The Next Generation in the ring standing tall.Overall Rating: 75%Mike Johnson: WELCOME EVERYBODY TO WCW FRIDAY NITRO! I'm joined here along side my broadcast collegues, Hall of Fame manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and the current owner of World Championship Wrestling, Shane McMahon!
Shane McMahon: Thank you for the introduction Mike and yes welcome everyone to WCW Friday Nitro. We've got a big show lined up for you!
Bobby Heenan: Why don't any of you mention Edge's Mystery Opponent? For all we know it could be Dink the Clown!
Mike Johnson: Very funny Brain. But yes Chris Benoit will be taking on a mystery opponent that Edge will select. ALSO there is news of a WCW World title tournament and a show entitled "War for the Gold" we will hear the official announcement on this before the end of the night.
Shane McMahon: This is true Mike.........wait a minute what the hell are The Next Generation doing out here?!The Next Generation talk trash towards The Outsiders:The Next Generation are already in the ring in there street clothes as the camera cuts to the ring. Austin Aries has a microphone in hand and he begins to speak.
Austin Aries: Well...well...well! I'm sure you all just finished watching the recap of last week, correct? Did you all notice who was standing tall at the end of that? Thats right it was US! The Next Generation! Sure The Outsiders were part of the New World Order, they were part of what was considered the next evolution of wrestling...too bad they were old men even then! Look at the three of us...I stand in this ring at age 28! Jack Evans...the BEST high flyer in the world today, stands in this ring at age 24! Roderick Strong...the messiah of the backbreaker, stands in this ring at age 23! The three of us are not only good enough, not only new enough, but even YOUNG enough to call ourselves The Next Generation! We will be wrestling at the peak of our skill for years to come! What did you two do? Wrestled in the WWF for years in the midcard and then a year here in WCW at the peak of your skill? That hardly made you the New World Order...you were the Old World Order...and ALWAYS will be! Roderick...tell em'.
Roderick Strong: I'm not much of the talker, I don't usually come out and talk trash. I am here to wrestle. But Hall and Nash...The Outsiders, we're the Next Generation. We're the future...no...we are the PRESENT and the future of this business! We're here to rightfully claim that! You can talk about all you did in this business for aslong as you want. But it does not change the fact that you're being surpassed by this generation...by THE NEXT GENERATION!
Jack Evans: Yo, Kevin Nash...last week you picked me up onto your shoulders and dropped me on my head, man that hurt. But i'm still here...I don't get injured and tear my quad taking a step LIKE SOME PEOPLE! Did you enjoy taking that 630 Nash? I hope you did because there are many more coming to you in your near future! The Next Generation will make sure of that!
Jack does a quick break dance move and as he comes back up to his feet he hands the microphone off to Austin Aries.
Austin Aries: and that is why we are..........THE NEXT GENERATION OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!
Aries drops the microphone and the group of three leave the ring as the screen fades to commercial.Overall Rating: 55%Commercials are shown. Shane McMahon: What a show of disrespect by those young athletes!
Mike Johnson: I agree with you Shane. They should know to respect the veterans like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall!
Bobby Heenan: I guess everyone forgot the NWO made a career off disrespecting people and veterans...I thought that was cool!
Mike Johnson: Whatever Brain, we've got to get to our first match of the night, The Second City Saints vs Paul London and Brain Kendrick! The Second City Saints(CM Punk and Colt Cabana) vs Paul London and Brian Kendrick:Great match between these two tames. CM Punk and Colt Cabana showed the fire of the indy's as these two superstars took it to Paul London and Brian Kendrick hard. Kendrick and London however dropped there new found WWE style and reverted back to there indy ways aswell making for a hard hitting, fast paced, absolutely AMAZING contest. This match saw CM Punk and Colt Cabana show there true technical skill against London and Kendrick who also took the fight in the technique department to CM Punk and Cabana. We also saw alot of high flying action coming from London and Kendrick who did a double crossbody dive from the top to the outside onto...ONLY CM PUNK! It looked like Punk got squashed as he pushed his partner Colt Cabana out of the way, but it was for the greater good as Cabana jumped to the apron and awaited London and Kendrick to stand again. When the two did Cabana jumped to the second rope quickly and flew back with a beautiful asai moonsault landing right on London and Kendrick. The finish to this match came after London and Kendrick took a short advantage after being beaten down for a good amount of time. London went for his Shooting Star Press to Colt Cabana but Cabana managed to roll out of the way. Cabana picked London up and went for the Colt 45...but CM Punk started yelling to set London up for the Pepsi Plunge. Cabana dropped London and started to yell at Punk who got into the ring. Cabana and Punk began to push each other back and forth as Kendrick and London got up to there feet. The crowd cheered as London and Kendrick ran towards Punk and Cabana who both turned at the same time...Cabana caught London with a brutal forearm which sent London to his back as CM Punk side stepped and threw Kendrick over the top rope. Punk and Cabana then began yelling at each other again and finally Cabana yelled "ALRIGHT....I'VE GOT A PLAN!". Cabana whispered in Punk's ear and Punk smiled and climbed to the top. Cabana picked London up for the Colt 45 but slightly more so London was almost sitting. Punk jumped forward......SHINING WIZARD....AND CABANA DROPS TO HIS KNEES WITH THE COLT 45 DIRECTLY AFTER!!!! Doomsday Shining Colt 45?! Cabana makes the cover....1......2.....3! The Second City Saints celebrate as the screen cuts to the parking lot area.Winners: The Second City Saints(CM Punk and Colt Cabana) MQ: 92%, CR: 67%, OR: 79%The Arrival.....:The crowd is hushed as a limo pulls in to the arena parking lot. The camera slowly moves back with the limo driver towards the back of the limo. Once the camera man and the driver get to the back the driver grabs onto the door handle and the camera looks down towards the door. The crowd is still hushed as the door opens. The camera is fixed on the foot of whoever is arriving. The person begins to walk and the camera follows. After about 30 seconds the camera man finally stops walking. We hear a door open and suddenlly a voice begins to speak.
: Ah...the office, just as I left it...its good to be back!
The camera pans up to reveal...the WCW commisioner......ERIC BISCHOFF!!!! Bischoff stands in camera view as the screen fades to commercial.Overall Rating: 77%Commercials are shown. Mike Johnson: Why is he here?!
Bobby Heenan:...I gotta say, i'd love to know why he is here myself...Shane, enlighten us please.
Shane McMahon: Honestly, I needed someone who knew what to do with WCW...so I went to the mastermind.
Mike Johnson: I never thought i'd hear you say that...but I think we have to get to Fit Finlay vs Chavo Guerrero!Fit Finlay vs Chavo Guerrero:Good match show casing some of the old school WCW stars. The match saw Fit Finlay really lay in quite aggresively on Chavo Guerrero. Chavo however was obviously not afraid to fight back taking the fight to Finlay enough to knock the tough Irishman down a few times. The finish saw Finlay really working over the upper back of Chavo Guerrero. Finlay picked Chavo up for the Behind the back Emerald Fusion. Chavo however managed to kick down and catch Finlay with a piledriver. Eventually both men got up at the count of 8 and Finlay went for a punch but it was blocked by Chavo who punched Finlay once...twice...three times! Finlay goes down on the third punch and Chavo does the little Eddie Guerrero shimmy and points to the sky as the crowd cheers. Chavo grabs Finlay and hooks him for a suplex...one suplex........Chavo rolls back up with Finlay....second suplex......Chavo rolls up with Finlay again....third suplex...THREE AMIGOS! The crowd cheers and Finlay rolls towards the corner which is where he put his shilalie(sp?). Finlay grabs in and kind of hugs it with his arms to hide it from the referee and Chavo. Chavo pulls Finlay into the middle of the ring. Chavo climbs to the top and goes flying with a very nice Frogsplash. Finlay opens his arms as Chavo comes down...Chavo lands on Finlay and bounces away screaming in pain as Finlay rolls over hugging the shilalie again. Finlay rolls to the ropes and throws the shilalie out of the ring. Finlay stands up and walks over to Chavo and calls for the Emerald Fusion. But then Finlay shakes his head no and motions for a tombstone...old school Fit Finlay coming up............SICK TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER TO CHAVO GUERRERO! Finlay makes the cover.....1.......2.......3!!!! Finlay wins! After the match Finlay grabbed Chavo and dragged him out of the ring. Finlay picked Chavo up and lifted Chavo for the Emerald Fusion. Finlay sat out hitting Chavo with a sick Emerald Fusion on the floor. Finlay then rolled back into the ring and called for a microphone.Winner: Fit Finlay MQ: 84%, CR: 64%, OR: 74%Finlay loves to fight...but wheres his reward?:Finlay is given a microphone and he walks to the middle of the ring and begins to speak.
Fit Finlay: As you all better know by now...my name is Finlay! I do come here because I love to fight! But I have been thinking for a few months and my thoughts have risen recently. Where is my reward? Sure fighting for me is fun. But I am bloody damn good at it! I do beleive I should be given a reward for this. Now I do expect to be in this alleged World Title tournament...I also expect to walk out WCW World Champion when all is said and done. But, what about this United States championship and Television championship? Is there not any worthy contenders for these belts? I beleive that I Fit Finlay should be given these belts! I hope to hear an answer to this soon, weather it be an annoucement next week...on wcw.com or whatever! I want an answer...because I am Finlay and I love to fight...but I want a reward!
Finlay throws the microphone in anger and leaves the ring as the screen fades to commercial.Overall Rating: 57%Commercials are shown. Mike Johnson: It seems Finlay wants a reward for his fighting skills!
Bobby Heenan: And rightfully so...he's an irish man, its the only gold he'll see in his entire life!
Mike Johnson: What do you plan to do about this Shane?
Shane McMahon: Don't ask me...ask Eric Bischoff. But now, a special match I made...Austin Aries vs Harry "Bulldog" Smith!Austin Aries vs Harry "Bulldog" Smith:Very good match between these two. Harry Smith proves why he came close to signing a WWE contract but was taken quickly in a BIDDING WAR by the WCW in this one. Austin Aries also shows why he was stolen from the independents to be part of the new WCW. The match was very back and forth the entire time and almost entirely made up of chain wrestling and little spots thrown in during it. Harry got a very slight advantage and when he went to irish whip Aries, Aries reversed and caught Harry with the Sideslam Driver(Sidewalk slam but opponent lands on head). The match continued from this point with Austin Aries having a slight advantage over Harry Smith. Essentialy the way it worked out if you broke it down...for every one move Harry managed to catch, Aries hit two or three. The end came when Aries had Harry down infront of the corner. Aries climbed to the top rope and called for the 450 when out of nowhere the NWO/Outsiders theme begins to play. Aries sat on the top and looked around scared for his life almost. The music finally stopped but Harry was up to his feet. Aries quickly got up to the top as Harry turned around towards Aries. Aries jumped and looked to have been going for a hurricanrana but Harry caught Aries and powerbomb him hard into the turnbuckle. Harry grabbed Aries up from there and picked him up into a powerbomb...Harry runs forward......LIGER BOMB!!!!!! You hear a loud "OOOOO" from the crowd as Aries folds on his head/upper shouler area. Harry holds on for the pin...1....2....3! Harry wins and celebrates as Aries rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp way towards the back.Winner: Harry "Bulldog" Smith MQ: 80%, CR: 69%, OR: 69%Aries is not happy...and revenge:The camera cuts backstage as Aries gets to the back. Aries is yelling and walks through the gorilla position and down to the hall. Aries walks down the hall and gets to the Next Generation's locker room. Aries walks through the door and starts to yell. Aries' picks up a note and begins to read it.
Austin Aries: "Hey, Austin. Me and Jack got a phone call saying there was some bar a few blocks away from the arena here and there were a bunch of hot chicks and free chicken wins...FREE MAN! We couldn't pas that up. I'm sure you'll have no problem with Harry Smith. Well we'll see ya' later, you'll totally find the bar its like 3 blocks from here and you'll see our car. YEAAAAAA BOIYYYYY....sorry that was Jack. Anyways, peace. Signed- Roderick Strong and Jack Evans"......Those bastards!
Suddenly Kevin Nash steps out from the washroom door and looks at Aries.
Austin Aries: O...o....hey...uhhh...hey Kevin....
Aries turns and runs towards the door which slams shut and Aries bumps into Scott Hall. Aries looks around as Nash speaks.
Kevin Nash: Wanna take a guess at who called Jack and Roderick?
Austin Aries: Uhhhh....uhhhhh uhhhhh...o god.
Kevin Nash: Wanna tell him Scott?
Scott Hall: Survey Says...............THE BAD GUYS!!!!! US! We called em'!
Kevin Nash: Thats right...and now its time for alittle revenge.
Austin Aries: Come on guys...don...don't hurt me, i'm...i'm...i'm sure we could work uhhh something out. Come on....
Kevin Nash: I tell ya what...we'll give you 5 seconds to pray...before we beat you into next week!
Austin Aries:.......Fair enough.
Aries begins to pray as Nash counts. Nash gets to 4 and Aries bolts for the door but Nash and Hall grab Aries.
Scott Hall: Oh boy...big mistake!
Nash punches Aries who stumbles back and then walks forward into a kick in the gut from Hall. Hall grabs a chair and slams it over Aries' back. The crowd can be heard cheering as Aries walks towards Nash after having the chair slammed on his back. Nash has moved back near a bench in the locker room. Nash grabs Aries and lifts him in a powerbomb.......Nash turns....JACKNIFE THROUGH THE BENCH!!!!! You can hear the crowd cheering as Nash and Hall do the whiping there hands taunt. Hall speaks.
Scott Hall: Chalk one up for the bad guys!
Nash and Hall leave the locker room as the screen fades to the final commercial break of the night.Overall Rating: 80%Final commercial break of the night. Shane McMahon: My god! The Outsiders got some revenge on one third of the Next Generation!
Mike Johnson: You can say that again shane. I don't think Aries will ever feel the same after that Jacknife!
Bobby Heenan: Explain to me why it was fine for the Outsiders to do that but not for The Next Generation to talk some trash.
Shane McMahon: It wasn't...
Mike Johnson: Well...Chris Benoit's music is playing and he's on his way to the ring so lets get to the main event.Edge introduces his Mystery Opponent to take on Chris Benoit:Chris Benoit comes down to the ring and enters. Benoit calls for a microphone and when it is brought to him he begins to speak.
Chris Benoit: Well...i'm here to wrestle. So whoever my opponent is...get out here now!
"Metalingus" by Alter Bridge hits as Benoit stands in the ring waiting anxiously for his opponent. Edge comes through the curtain and walks half way down the entrance way. The crowd boos as Edge begins to speak.
Edge: You want to know who your opponent is Benoit? Well...I told you he was someone from your past. I told you he used to be a good friend of yours. Infact, you two held the WWF Tag Team titles together! So who else would I be speaking of but................
A countdown starts on the tron and the lights go out. This looks familiar and the crowd seems to remember it as a loud techno based theme hits and the lights go on and standing in the entrance way is CHRIS JERICHO! With his back to the ring and arms out the crowd is cheering already knowing who it is. Jericho turns around and walks down towards where Edge is and Edge hands Jericho the microphone. Jericho looks around and speaks.
Chris Jericho: Hey...look at the crowd. Just like I remembered...a bunch of ass clowns! Nothing has changed since this promotion closed 5 years ago! But what has changed is now...I am a HUGE star! Still the man of 1001 golds mind you. But a HUGE star aswell! What is my goal? My goal is to become WCW World Champion! And if i have to get through Chris Benoit to do that...I will. It shouldn't be too hard, Benoit's just an ass clown who does a couple suplexes, no biggie!
Jericho hands the microphone back to Edge and runs down the ramp and slides into the ring and begins to brawl with Benoit as the bell rings.Overall Rating: 80%Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho:Extremely good match here. Which was expected. The crowd was into it huge as these two WCW stars battled it out proving they're every bit as good now as they were in the late 90's for WCW. The match saw alot of back and forth chain wrestling which was in a way controlled by Chris Benoit which was not all that surprising. Jericho turned it around eventually with a knee to the guts that sent Benoit flipping in pain at the end of a long tackle spot. Jericho had an advantage for a few minutes before Benoit managed to reverse an irish whip which lead to him going for a hip toss, Jericho blocking and jumping through to go for a hip toss of his own, however Benoit blocked and wnet under Jericho's arm into a back slide. The crowd cheered as the ref counted to 2 but Jericho kicked out. Benoit got up quick and ran at Jericho who also got up quick. Jericho swung with a clothesline but Benoit ducked and caught Jericho's arm spinning him into a nice bridging northern lights which also only got a 2 count. They both got up again and this time Benoit ran into a dropkick from Jericho. Jericho continued with his slight advantage. Jericho at one point hit Benoit with the Tiger Driver Backbreaker. Jericho worked over Benoit's back heavily for the Lion-Tamer. Benoit went back at Jericho eventually hitting a few quick moves but Jericho cut Benoit off with a harsh kick to the lower back. Jericho eventualy hit Benoit with a slam and went for the Lion-Tamer but Benoit blocked. This continued with Jericho trying to get the Lion-Tamer but Benoit blocking for a minute or so. Eventually however Jericho tripped Benoit and locked in the Lion-Tamer quickly. Benoit screamed for a good 30 seconds trying not to tap but eventually Benoit made it to the ropes. The finish came as Jericho was angry and put Benoit on the top for a super-plex. Jericho climbs to the top for it but Benoit began to headbutt the living hell out of Jericho till Jericho fall back and rolled to the middle of the ring. Benoit climbs to the top and goes flying with the flying headbutt and the crowd goes crazy. The referee begins a 10 count as Benoit and Jericho are both out in pain. Once they get up Benoit runs at Jericho who goes for a clothesline. But Benoit ducks and keeps running. Benoit hits the ropes and runs back towards Jericho who goes for a back elbow but Benoit ducks and catches Jericho's hand. Benoit goes to whip Jericho but as Benoit does so he duckes under Jericho's arm keeping hold of Jericho's hand short arming Jericho. Benoit from there takes Jericho down with a Crippler Crossface! The crowd is cheering as Benoit has it locked in and is pulling back. A loud "TAP! TAP! TAP!" chant starts as Lita comes running down to the ring. Lita jumps to the apron and begins to distract the ref as Edge comes from the crowd with a chair. Edge cracks the chair over the back of Benoit's head and Benoit lets go of the Crippler Crossface and lies on his back knocked out. Edge slides out of the ring with the chair as Jericho slowly stands holding his arm and neck. The crowd boos as Lita stops distracting the ref and Jericho runs towards the ropes. Jericho jumps and bounces off the second rope and moonsaults back with the Lion-Sault on Benoit...1....2....3! Jericho wins because of Edge! Edge gets into the ring and him and Jericho begin to beat down on Chris Benoit. Edge grabs the chair and sets it up unfolded. Edge picks Benoit up bent over and holds him as Jericho runs. Jericho catches Benoit's head and goes flying with the one handed bulldog and Benoit's face cracks over the chair. The crowd boos as..........ROB VAN DAM RUNS DOWN TO THE RING!!!!!!! Van Dam catches Edge and Jericho with a double dropkick as they run at him. Jericho rolls out of the ring and Van Dam picks up the chair and folds it followed by throwing the chair at Edge. Edge catches the chair and Van Dam jumps with a spinning back kick hitting Edge with the Van-Daminator! The crowd cheers as Edge falls and rolls out of the ring.......but then some music hits.....Winner: Chris Jericho MQ: 94%, CR: 90%, OR: 92%Eric Bischoff announces WCW World Title tournament:The music plays as Eric Bischoff steps through the curtain with a microphone and walks to the middle of the stage at the top. The crowd is half booing and half cheering as RVD helps Benoit up. Edge, Jericho, Benoit and RVD all stare towards Bischoff as Bischoff begins to speak.
Eric Bischoff: Well I must say having you four out here is good for this announcement. Not to mention having Finlay complain about the lack of plan for the US Title and TV Title so far earlier. Well heres the plan...the first pay per view of the NEW WCW will be called WCW War for the Gold. We will see a US Title match, a TV title match, a tag team title match, AND a World title match! The US Title and TV Title matches will be involved with the losers from the WCW World title tournament, which I will get to in a second. The 4 losers of the Quarter Final matches will face off for the US Title, and the 2 losers of the Semi-Final matches will face off for the TV Title, while the finalists go at it for the WCW World Championship! Also the tag team titles will be on the line as I said, what I didn't mention was that the Second City Saints vs Paul London and Brian Kendrick tonight was more than just a regular match...the winners were to take on the tag champs at War for the Gold...so we will see The Second City Saints vs The Outsiders for the WCW Tag Team Titles! Now onto the tournament, you see WCW War for the Gold will take place September 24th. Which leaves one Nitro before that time. So next week the tournament will begin. It will be an 8 man tournament featuring, Fit Finlay, Chavo Guerrero, CHRIS BENOIT, CHRIS JERICHO, EDGE, ROB VAN DAM, HULK HOGAN, and RIC FLAIR! The first 4 quarter final matches will take place next week on Nitro with the Semi-Final and Final matches taking place at War for the Gold! 3 of the 4 matches for next week won't be revealed until then. However I will reveal one match...next week...in one of the four quarter final matches for the WCW World Title we will see....RIC FLAIR vs......HULK HOGAN!!!!!!!!! See you all next week!
Bischoff smiles at the top of the stage. The crowd is cheering and the screen fades to black ending the show.Overall Rating: 90%Overall Show Rating: 76% We got a 5.46 rating for 'WCW Nitro'! The attendance level was 4545 people. We made $181800 from ticket sales.

Last week on WCW Friday Nitro we saw alot of action and a huge announcement. The night had started with The Next Generation tearing into Kevin Nash and Scott Hall on the microphone. The first match of the night last week saw the Second City Saints d. Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Unknown to the SCS however until the end of the night, was that the win secured them a tag team title shot at WCW War for the Gold. Eric Bischoff arrived at the arena and was announced by Shane McMahon on commentary as the WCW Commisioner. Fit Finlay took the fight to Chavo Guerrero and defeated him with an old school Finlay tombstone. After that match Finlay hit Chavo with a Behind the back Emerald Fusion on the floor and got on the microphone complaining about the lack of planning for the TV Title and US title. Finlay got his answers later in the night. Harry Smith managed to defeat Austin Aries after Aries was distracted by the Outsiders/NWO theme playing. Harry hit Aries with a Liger Bomb to catch the win. After that Aries went to the back and when he entered his locker room he found Jack Evans and Roderick Strong were not there...however Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were and the two took Aries out with a Jacknife Powerbomb through a bench! Edge introduced his mystery opponent for Chris Benoit who turned out to be Chris Jericho. The two had a hard fought match but in the end Jericho caught the win after interferance from Edge and a Lionsault. However when Edge and Jericho attempt to beat on Benoit after the match ROB VAN DAM made the save! This all lead to Eric Bischoff coming out and announcing a WCW World Title Tournament. The first 4 matches would take place on WCW Friday Nitro then the semi-main and main event will take place at WCW War for the Gold. The losers of the first 4 matches would be in a 4-way TV Title match and the losers of the semi-finals would be in a 1 on 1 US title match! The finalists would go at it for the WCW World Title in the main event of War for the Gold! Now Eric Bischoff said that the first 4 matches except for one would not be announced until the next Nitro. But WCWrestling.com has other plans! We have the first 4 matches of the tournament right here and here they are: Chris Benoit vs Fit Finlay Edge vs Rob Van Dam Chris Jericho vs Chavo Guerrero "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vs "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair So lots of action this upcoming Friday Nitro with these 4 HUGE matches in the beginning of the WCW World Title tournament. Also...could there be any more developments in this war between The Next Generation and The Outsiders? Tune into WCW Friday Nitro live Friday night beginning at 8pm/est on the UPN Network to find out!

Video Recap of Last Week's Nitro and hype for Hogan vs Flair:WCW Nitro begins with a video recap of last weeks show. The video begins showing The Next Generation's promo against The Outsiders. As the promo ends in clip form it fades to a shot of Kevin Nash Jacknife Powerbombing Austin Aries through the bench. The video then fades to a shot of The Second City Saints defeating Paul London and Brian Kendrick with the Doomsday Shining Colt 45! As the move happens you hear the voice over of Eric Bischoff announcing that the win secured The Second City Saints a title shot at War for the Gold! The video then faded to a clip of Fit Finlay tombstone piledriving Chavo Guerrero for a victory then hitting Chavo with the Behind the back Emerald Fusion on the floor. As this happened a voice over had Eric Bischoff talking about the WCW TV and US Title's being on the line at War for the Gold between the losers in the tournament for the WCW World Title! Which brought the video to Edge introducing Chris Jericho as his mystery opponent for Chris Benoit. The video showed Edge interfere with the chair then Jericho hit the Lionsault. It then cut to Edge and Jericho beating down on Chris Benoit and RVD running out for the save. As this happened it faded to when Eric Bischoff announced the WCW World Title tournament. It shows Bischoff announce the title tournament and Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan in the tournament. As he announces Flair vs Hogan clips are shown from old WCW with Flair and Hogan against each other and the video recap ends with a shot of Hogan and Flair staring at each other on the first Nitro 2 weeks ago.Overall Rating: 92%WCW World Championship Tournament Match #1: Chris Jericho vs Chavo Guerrero:Didn't even cut to the announcers and simply started off with Chris Jericho vs Chavo Guerrero in the first match of the WCW World Title tournament. Pretty good match this ended up being with alot of back and forth technical wrestling. Jericho had a slight advantage after about the 2 minute mark when he caught Chavo with a poke to the eyes. The advantage lasted for awhile as Jericho really worked over the legs and lower back of Chavo Guerrero seemingly setting up for the Lion-Tamer. The finish came as Jericho went for the Lionsault but Chavo managed to roll out of the way. The crowd cheered as Chavo got up a few second after Jericho. Jericho began to punch at Chavo and Chavo stumbled into the ropes as the crowd booed Jericho again. Jericho attempted to irish whip Chavo but Chavo reversed and caught Jericho with a dropkick as Jericho ran back. Chavo and Jericho got up quick and Chavo ran at Jericho. Chavo managed to snap off a nice headscissors take over which sent Jericho flipping hard to his back. Jericho slowly got up and stumbled into....SUPLEXES! One suplex from Chavo....two suplexes from Chavo...here comes the third of the Three Amigos. Chavo goes for it but Jericho blocks and rolls Chavo up with a small package. Jericho hooks the bottom rope somehow with his feet that were also hooking Chavo's leg making it literally impossible for Chavo to kick out as the ref counted the 3-count! Jericho rolled out of the ring quick as the crowd booed and Jericho was announced the winner. All of a sudden though from behind came CHRIS BENOIT!!!! Benoit forearmed Jericho in the back and rolled him into the ring. Jericho got up and went to clothesline Benoit but Benoit ducked and caught Jericho from behind....GERMAN SUPLEX!!!!....ANOTHER GERMAN!!!...Here comes the third...Benoit hits it! The crowd cheers as Benoit helps Chavo up and points to the corner then up into the sky. Edge and Lita run down the ramp as Chavo Guerrero climbs to the top but Benoit stands at the ropes blocking Edge from getting into the ring. Chavo gets to the top and the crowd cheers as Chavo jumps out with a Frogsplash! Chavo hits it on Jericho! The crowd cheers more as Benoit grabs Jericho up and throws him out of the ring to Edge and Lita who help Jericho to the back. Benoit then calls for a microphone as Chavo heads to the back aswell.Winner and Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Chris Jericho MQ: 100%, CR: 80%, OR: 90%Chris Benoit sends a warning to Chris Jericho:Benoit is handed a microphone and Benoit takes little time to look directly into the camera and begin to speak.
Chris Benoit: JERICHO!!!!! What I just watched was disgusting! You come out here in a tournament match and defeat a good hearted man like Chavo Guerrero by CHEATING!!!!!! Jericho! Mark my words...if I ever meet you in the ring again...if we face off in this tournament...I will tear you LIMB...from...LIMB!!!!! FOR I AM THE CRIPPLER.....CHRIS BENOIT!!!!
Benoit drops the microphone and leaves the ring heading to the back as the screen fades to commercial.Overall Rating: 75%Commercials are shown. Mike Johnson: Hello everyone! You've obviously already been welcomed to the show by a great first match in the WCW World championship tournament! But I am your announcer Mike Johnson along side WCW Owner and announcer Shane McMahon, and legendary manager and commentator Bobby the brain Heenan!
Shane McMahon: As always Mike, thank you for introduction. I will agree that last match was great but I do not agree with Chris Jericho and how he cheated to catch the victory!
Mike Johnson: I agree with you Shane. That was wrong and not needed. However Benoit coming out and making things right at the end was a good thing.
Bobby Heenan: What are you talking about? I've told you before...if you gotta cheat to win...you do it! Thats how things work. Infact I think Benoit coming out after was the wrong thing. You don't come out after a match and beat up the winner...its just not fair!
Shane McMahon: Whatever Heenan...I'm being told theres something going on backstage in Commisioner Eric Bischoff's office...lets get back there!Eric Bischoff makes a match for tonight:Bischoff is in his office with CM Punk and Colt Cabana in there. Bischoff looks up and speaks.
Eric Bischoff: What the hell do you two want?
CM Punk: Well Mr. Bischoff...we just wanted to come and thank you for the tag title shot.
Eric Bischoff: Ah, well you're welcome Mr. Punk.
Punk kicks Cabana in the knee and whispers to Cabana to thank Bischoff.
Colt Cabana: Uhhhh....Thank you Mr. Bischoff.
Eric Bischoff: Well you're welcome to...whoever you are.
Colt Cabana: I'm Colt Cabana sir! Is this how you were as a general manager on RAW in the WWE? No wonder why you got fired from there. Jeesh!
Eric Bischoff: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME!?!?!?!?!?!
CM Punk pushes Cabana and tells Cabana to shut up. Punk then speaks.
CM Punk: Uhhh...Sorry Mr. Bischoff. He didn't mean that. He just gets angry easily.
All of a sudden The Outsiders burst into Bischoff's office. They look at Punk and start to laugh. Bischoff speaks.
Eric Bischoff:...o...you two. What the hell do you two bungholes want?
Kevin Nash: Wow, wow, wow Eric. Calm down man. We just wanted to tell ya' that it doesn't matter if you put us against these two jobbers. We're still gonna walk away as the tag team champs man!
Eric Bischoff: O yeah? Well lets test that theory tonight. We'll see your tag partner...Scott Hall vs....
Bischoff looks at Colt Cabana and shakes his head. Bischoff then looks at CM Punk and continues.
Eric Bischoff: We'll see Scott Hall vs CM PUNK!
Nash and Hall shrug and walk out as Punk looks almost angry. Bischoff looks up at Punk and Punk smiles as the screen cuts back to the ring for the next tournament match.Overall Rating: 84%WCW World Championship Tournament Match #2: Rob Van Dam vs Edge w/Lita:Great match here that showed some already brewing hatred between these two. The beginning saw Edge try to take an early advantage but Rob Van Dam shut Edge down at every step hitting Edge with some harsh kicks and forearms. The crowd is cheering as RVD goes to kick Edge in the gut. Edge catches RVD's foot and RVD goes for an enziguri but Edge ducks. RVD starts to hop on one foot to position himself for his usual reverse enziguri from that position but Edge throws RVD's foot up and RVD flips forward somehow landing on his feet. RVD turns around right into a eye rake. RVD goes down and Edge begins to take the advantage that he was trying for earlier. Edge works over RVD's guts and neck alot trying to set up for either the big Edgecution or the Spear. The crowd is booing as Edge stands RVD up. Edge runs at RVD who jumps up and catches Edge with a hard dropkick. Edge goes down and the crowd cheers as RVD and Edge get up. RVD starts to do alot of kicks, forearms, etc and Edge goes down after each one and gets back up into another as the crowd cheers. Edge gets up eventually and walks into a front slam from RVD right infront of the corner. RVD climbs to the top and the crowd cheers as RVD calls for the Five Star Frogsplash. RVD goes flying but Lita pulls Edge out of the ring! RVD lands hard on his stomach and rolls around in pain as Edge grabs a chair. Edge slides the chair into the ring and picks it up. The ref however grabs the chair and begins to fight to get it away from Edge. Edge eventually lets go of the chair and the ref drops it. Edge stands and waits for RVD to get up. RVD slowly gets up and Edge runs for the Spear...BUT RVD CATCHES EDGE IN A GUILLOTINE CHOKE!!!! The crowd cheers as RVD is trying to make Edge tape. Edge is screaming and starts to make the gross gurgling sound. The crowd cheers louder as Edge gets ready to tap but Lita jumps up onto the apron and begins to distract the ref. Edge begins to tap and the crowd boos as Lita distracts the ref. RVD lets go of the hold and picks Edge up. RVD grabs the chair and throws it at Edge. Edge catches the chair and RVD goes for the Van-Daminator but Edge moves back and RVD misses. Edge throws the chair at RVD and RVD catches it. As soon as RVD catches the chair Edge runs and hits RVD with a hard Spear! RVD goes down throwing the chair back with him. Edge makes the cover as Lita stops distracting the ref....1......2.....3! The crowd boos as Edge rolls out of the ring quick and leaves to the back with Lita as the screen fades backstage.Winner and Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Edge MQ: 90%, CR: 87%, OR: 88%Austin Aries is not happy with Evans and Strong:The screen is backstage now in The Next Generations locker room where Austin Aries is sitting with taped ribs and a neck brace on. Aries looks up at Strong and Evans. Strong begins to speak.
Roderick Strong: Whoa. Austin we're SOOOOOO sorry! We thought it was some fans calling us. Not those jerks.
Jack Evans: Totally. We did not know G. We like though we was goin' to teh club to look at some fine ass bitches.
Roderick Strong: If it makes you feel any better...they sent us to a gay bar!
Jack Evans: Don't leave out yas ass pain Roderick.
Roderick Strong: SHUT UP!
Aries looks at both of them and begins to speak.
Austin Aries: ...You two listen now and you listen good! I don't care if you thought you were going to see hot girls. Or if you actually WANTED to go to that gay bar. The fact of the matter is...I got Jacknife Powerbombed...through a god damn bench! The fact of the matter is...i'm sitting here with my ribs taped up and a neck brace around my god damn neck! So you know what I want to see? I want to see Scott Hall LOSE to CM Punk tonight and at War for the Gold...despite how much I hate them...I want to see The Second City Saints walk out with tag gold...you two idiots better make it happen!
The camera is close up on Aries looking crazy as the screen fades to commercial.Overall Rating: 62%Commercials are shown.

Shane McMahon: What a match between Edge and Rob Van Dam. Its a shame the way Edge won though!
Mike Johnson: I have to agree. Thats two matches that have been won that way. It is wrong!
Bobby Heenan: God...i'm not even gonna bother explaining it to your guys again!
Mike Johnson: Good! But CM Punk is out here to face Scott Hall...we must wonder though what may happen with The Next Generation after what we just saw.
Shane McMahon: Who knows?
Bobby Heenan: Maybe Roderick Strong will come out and complain about his anal pain.
Scott Hall w/Kevin Nash vs CM Punk w/Colt Cabana: Fairly good match here which consisted of alot of crowd work by Scott Hall and CM Punk. The crowd was strongly behind Scott Hall which was expected. Of course that meant they were strongly against CM Punk, who did not help matters by reminding them he was straight edge and thought he was better than them for that. The ending saw CM Punk talking a slight advantage on Scott Hall which came about after Colt Cabana tripped Hall when Hall was running the ropes. Punks eventually had Hall on one knee and Punk called for the Shining Wizard. Punk runs and Scott Hall puts his arms up. Punk steps off Hall's knee and Punk goes to knee hall in the face but hits Hall's arms. Punk falls off Hall's knee and turns around shaking his leg to make his knee feel better. Punk turns around into a clothesline from Hall but Punk gets up fast. However Punk walks right into a hand grabbing around his throat. Hall does the joke chokeslam sign and does the big Scott Hall style chokeslam. The crowd cheers as Hall motions for Punk to get up. Punk gets up and Hall waits for him...Punk turns around and Hall lifts him up...FALL AWAY SLAM! Hall sits up and does the whiping of the hands taunt then stands up and jumps around pointing to himself as the crowd cheers. Hall picks Punk up and calls for the Outsiders Edge but Roderick Strong and Jack Evans come running to the ring. Roderick goes to clothesline Hall but Hall ducks. Jack crossbodies Hall but Hall catches Jack and throws him back with a Fall Away Slam into Roderick. Jack hits Roderick and they both fall and roll out of the ring. They stand up and Kevin Nash is right infront of them. They look to the sides and run away so they're now on the other side of the ring at the stage again. Hall looks at them as he picks Punk up. Hall lifts Punk into the Outsiders Edge...BUT PUNK KICKS DOWN! Punk lands on his feet and spins Hall around. Punk takes Hall in a small package...1.......2..................Hall switches it to a small package on Punk.......1.........2.........3!!!!!! The crowd cheers as Hall breaks the pin and Punk rolls out of the ring. Cabana runs over to Punk and the two begin to talk. They then look angry and chase Roderick and Jack to the back as Nash gets in the ring with Hall and a microphone. Winner: Scott Hall MQ: 79%, CR: 76%, OR: 77%
The Outsiders rip into The Next Generation and The Second City Saints: As soon as Nash gets into the ring he looks around and brings the microphone to his mouth and speaks.
Kevin Nash: Well, look at that. The a**holes Jack Evans and Roderick Strong come running down to the ring. You guys try to attack Scott...and look what happened. SHUT DOWN! Fall away slam...into another guy. Seriously now, do you REALLY think you guys have any chance with us in the future if you can't even take out ONE of us by interferance?! Then you've got The Second City Saints. CM Punk came out here and lost to Scott. Even AFTER interferance. What does that say? Do you really think there is a point in you two showing up at War for the Gold? The Outsiders are back and dominant as always!
Hall asks for the microphone.
Scott Hall: Survey says?
The crowd cheers and Hall smiles and speaks again.
Scott Hall: Chalk one up for the Bad guys!!!!
Hall drops the microphone and him and Nash head to the back as the screen fades to commercial. Overall Rating: 72%
Commercials are shown.
Mike Johnson: What a match!
Shane McMahon: I agree Mike. I can't beleive Hall managed to win even after the interferance.
Bobby Heenan: I gotta say that was quite impressive. I wonder if Jack's backside hurts now after the way him and Roderick collided!
Shane McMahon: Disgusting Heenan! We have to get to the next tournament match now though. Chris Benoit vs Fit Finlay!
WCW World Championship Tournament Match #3: Chris Benoit vs Fit Finlay: Amazing match right here. This was completely back and forth and one of the most hard hitting matches i've ever seen. The match began with the two locking up and doing a good amount of chain wrestling. I think it lasted atleast 3 or 4 minutes just straight chain wrestling. The rest of the match from there was back and forth crazyness. So much intensity as Benoit and Finlay beat the leaving hell out of each other. Finlay went for a forearm at one point but Benoit caught Finlay's arm and locked Finlay in a brutal arm bar from there. Benoit really weakened Finlay's arm at every opportunity. The match continued to be completely back and forth however with Finlay really beating on Benoit specificly around the neck and head area. Benoit looked really out of it nearing the end and was stumbling around as if he had been concussed. The ending saw Finlay goes for a clothesline but Benoit caught the arm. Benoit brought Finlay down and started to try for the Crippler Crossface but Finlay kept on resisting. The crowd was cheering for the Crossface but Finlay started to elbow Benoit in the face. Benoit went back and slowly got up as did Finlay. Finlay hit Benoit with a hard elbow in the face and Benoit went down looking completely out of it. Finlay makes the cover.....1.......2......BENOIT KICKS OUT!!!! The crowd cheers as Finlay yells in anger. Finlay grabs Benoit and picks him up. Finlay lifts Benoit into position for the tombstone...........and....TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!!! The crowd boos as Finlay makes the cover.....1........2.........KICK OUT!!!!! The crowd bursts out into a huge cheer as Finlay sits kneeling yelling in anger at not being able to get the victory with the tombstone. Finlay picks Benoit up again and calls for the Behind the back Emerald Fusion which gets put over as the Cloverleaf Driver. Finlay picks Benoit up for the move and the crowd begins to boo. But Benoit starts to kick and kick and twist himself. Somehow Benoit flips over Finlay and under Finlay's arm into the fujiwara. Benoit from there quickly locks in the Crippler Crossface and the crowd begins to cheer. Benoit starts to pull back on Finlay's head as hard as he can. Finlay screams and a loud "TAP! TAP! TAP!" chant starts. Benoit starts to scream with extreme intensity as Finlay screams with extreme pain. The crowd keeps cheering for Finlay to tap. Benoit finally pulls so far back that it looks like Finlay's spine is severed. Finlay taps quickly and the crowd cheers loudly as Benoit stands up and celebrates. The crowd continues to cheer as the screen cuts backstage to Ric Flair with Scott Hudson. Winner and Advancing in the Tournament: Chris Benoit MQ: 90%, CR: 71%, OR: 80%
Ric Flair cuts a promo before his match with Hulk Hogan: The screen cuts to the back where Scott Hudson is standing alongside Ric Flair. Hudson begins to speak.
Scott Hudson: Well i'd first like to say its nice to be back interviewing for World Championship Wrestling! But now Ric Flair. I have been told you asked for this time to speak about your match tonight. So what do you have to say about your first round match against Hulk Hogan in this WCW World Championship Tournament?
Ric Flair: WOOOOO!!!!! Scott, the wheelin' dealin', kiss stealin', jet flyin', NATURE BOYYYYYY!!! Is back and ready to return to the WCW ring. Tonight Scott...woo, i'm wrestling Hulk Hogan! Wooo! Scott, in just mere heart beats i'll be in the WCW ring for the first time in 5 years. My last match here was against Sting...woooo!!!! Great match! My first match back will be against another rival of mine. Hulk Hogan! Woooo!!! Hogan in less time than it would take you to get through one of your promos about brothers. I'll be in that ring with you choppin' you all around that ring....WOOOOOOO!!!!!! Then Hogan when its all said and done. When the smoke clears....i'll have you lying in the middle of the ring on your back tapping to the Figure Four WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Scott Hudson: What about the big leg drop?
Ric Flair: Scott buddy, that leg drop ain't nothin' for the Nature Boy! I'll be lockin' in the Figure Four on Hogan weather he likes it or not and he will tap!
Flair walks out of camera range as the screen fades to the final commercial break of the night. Overall Rating: 90%
Final commercials are shown.
WCW World Championship Tournament Match #4: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan: In the area of crowd reaction and atmosphere this match is the best yet of the new WCW! The match was almost complete crowd work with the big moves worked in there. The match began with Hogan and Flair locked up. Flair broke the lock up quick and went for an eye poke but Hogan pushed Flair's hand away and slapped Flair in the face hard! The crowd booed and Hogan continued to hit cheap moves on Flair. Hogan hit Flair with a hip toss eventually and the crowd boos. Hogan yells at the crowd and begins to pick Flair up. Flair quickly lifts himself up throwing Hogan's arms away. Flair chops Hogan once extremely hard and Hogan stumbles back into the ropes. Flair continues with the chops till Hogan falls to his back. Flair hits the ropes and hits Hogan with a knee drop and the crowd lets out a loud cheer. Flair stands up and yells "WOOOOOO!!!!!!" the crowd cheers and Flair picks Hogan up. Flair goes to irish whip Hogan into the corner but Hogan reverses and Flair goes flipping into the corner and over the top onto the apron. Flair stands on the apron stumbling and then walks forward and Hogan goes for a clothesline, but Flair ducks! Flair comes back with a chop to Hogan and Hogan goes down. Flair climbs to the top and yells. Hogan goes and grabs Flair. Flair screams and Hogan tosses Flair into the middle of the ring with a huge gorrila press slam. Flair is in pain and Hogan takes a slight advantage over Flair hitting some punches, stomps and a suplex. The crowd boos as Hogan picks Flair up and irish whips Flair into the corner. Flair hits the corner hard and Hogan walks into the corner and climbs to the second rope. Hogan starts with the 10 punches and the crowd boos for everyone. Hogan gets down off the top at 9 and tells the crowd they arn't worth it. Flair starts to stumble out of the corner and it looks as if a Flair-flop is about to happen. But Flair stops and turns. Flair hits Hogan with a hard chop and Hogan stumbles back. Hogan runs at Flair who hits him with another hard chop. Hogan goes down and Flair yells "WOOOOO!!!!! THATS WHY YA DON'T CHEAP OUT ON THE NATURE BOY!" referring to Hogan only doing 9 of the 10 punches. Flair climbs to the top and is waiting for Hogan to stand up. Hogan stands fairly quickly and pulls the top rope. Flair loses balance but does not crotch himself. However it gives Hogan time to walk over and grab Flair to toss him again. Hogan says no though and punches Flair. Hogan climbs to the second and calls for a gorilla press from there! The crowd is hushed but Flair starts to fight back with chops on Hogan. The crowd cheers as Hogan steps off the second and stumbles back. Flair goes flying with a double axe handle but Hogan goes for the big boot while Flair's in the air. Flair almost gets hit but instead he manages to land on his feet catching Hogan's leg. Flair trips Hogan's other leg and Hogan goes to his back. Flair goes to lock in the Figure Four but Hogan pushes on Flair's lower back. Flair goes flying through the ropes to the floor and Hogan follows. Hogan grabs a chair and is waiting for Flair to get up. But the ref grabs the chair. Hogan starts to fight with the ref for the chair. Hogan lets go and the ref goes falling back into the guardrail. The ref flops over lying flat on the floor out of it. Hogan grabs the chair and waits as Flair slowly gets up. Flair turns around....SICK CHAIRSHOT!!!!! Flair goes down and Hogan runs over and grabs the ref. Hogan picks the ref up and rolls the ref into the ring. Hogan then gets into the ring and lifts the ref up. Hogan slaps the ref a few times and the ref wakes up. Hogan tells the ref to count. The ref looks outside at Flair who is out and begins to count........1..............2...........3................4.............5...........6..............7..........Flairs slowly getting up.................8..........................Flairs on his feet..........................9..................FLAIR ROLLS IN THE RING!!!!!! Hogan yells in anger and picks Flair up who is covered in blood. Flair looks like he's dead as Hogan irish whips him. Flair runs back into a big boot from Hogan and Hogan calls for the big Atomic Leg Drop. Hogan hits the ropes and....HITS THE ATOMIC LEGDROP!!!! The crowd boos expecting it to be the end as Hogan makes the cover........1..................2..................FLAIR KICKS OUT!!!!!!!! The crowd cheers as loud as possible and Hogan picks Flair up. Hogan lifts Flair and throws Flair down with a hard body slam. Hogan starts to walk around the ring telling the crowd its over. Hogan hits the ropes and walks back towards Flair for the big Atomic Legdrop. The crowd boos as Hogan goes flying in the air. Hogan hits it...wait...Flair got his arms up. Flair has a hold of Hogan's leg! Flair stands up holding Hogan's leg. Flair tells the ref to look behind him and the ref does so. Flair stomps Hogan in the lower regions as the ref is looking the other way. The ref turns around as Flair is yelling "WOOOOOOOO!!!!!" and doing the little dance before the Figure Four as Hogan is in pain. Flair spins around the leg of Hogan and puts the foot over Hogan's other knee. Flair gets his leg over Hogan's bent foot and falls back in the Figure Four! The crowd is cheering as Flair starts to apply pressure to it. Hogan won't tap and finally Hogan goes flat on his back. The ref begins to count.......1.............2....................Hogan gets his shoulder up! The crowd continues to cheer as Flair starts to put more pressure on the hold. Hogan screams in pain and falls flat again.......1...........2...............Hogan gets his shoulder up again! The crowd is cheering the loudest i've ever heard as Flair applies pressure and begins to scream. The blood is dripping down Flair's face onto his chest and into his shirt. Hogan is up aswell screaming in pain. Flair has a crazed look in his eyes as he is completely covered in blood and yelling at Hogan to tap. Hogan falls back flat on his back again...the blood is seen dropping down Flair's face and Flair has a crazy smile on his face and is screaming. The ref counts as Hogan is flat............1.......................................2.....................................................................................................3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOGAN GETS HIS SHOULDER UP RIGHT AFTER THE 3-COUNT, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!! FLAIR WINS!!!!!!! The crowd is cheering loud as Flair breaks the hold and stands up. Hogan rolls out of the ring holding his knee and Flair stands in the middle of the ring with his hair now a crimson red and the blood dripping down his face covering his chest and stomach. The camera zooms in as the ref raises Flair's hand. Flair looks into the camera and yells "WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" as the screen fades ending the show. Preview:WCW War for the Gold. The first Pay Per View of the reincarnated WCW. Alot is riding on the results of this pay per view. Will The Seocnd City Saints manage to steal the tag team titles away from The Outsiders? What will come of the TV Title 4-way match and who will walk out as WCW Television Champion? But most importantly...who will walk out WCW...WORLD...HEAVYWEIGHT...CHAMPION? The first Nitro saw a tournament for the WCW Tag Team Titles. This tournament saw the rise of the Stampede Bulldogs as they managed to defeat the Second City Saints due to a communication error between the SCS. The Next Generation took there stance and beginning a war with The Outsiders. The Outsiders took the tag team titles home that night! But the next week The Second City Saints managed to regain there tag team composure and defeat Brian Kendrick and Paul London. Unknown to the two teams at the time...they were wrestling for a shot at the tag team titles at War for the Gold! Will The Outsiders keep hold of there WCW Tag Team Championships? Will The Second City Saints add the WCW Tag Titles to there resume? Will the Next Generation get involved? The answers to these three questions won't be answered until that night...but whatever the answers may be...this will be an epic battle in the Tag Team division! The WCW Television Title, what can really be said about this championship? Some of the greatest of all time have held it and it was usually that belt that the wrestlers would scratch and claw for to secure there spot in the midcard ranks while trying to make there way towards the class ceiling. But at War for the Gold this is not the case. Eric Bischoff said that the four men to lose in the four first round matches for the WCW World Title Tournmanet would go against each other in a 4-way for the Television title. Well...Fit Finlay lost his match with Chris Benoit, Chavo Guerrero lost his match with Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam lost his match with Edge, and Hulk Hogan lost his match with Ric Flair. So what does this mean...WCW Television Title match...Fit Finaly vs Chavo Guerrero vs ROB VAN DAM vs...HULK HOGAN!!!! Who will walk out champion? Will Fit Finlay or Chavo Guerrero pull out and upset win over RVD or Hulk Hogan? Will RVD walk out with a TV title belt to try and hold just aslong as he held the ECW TV title?
