Has anybody here ever bought those True Heroes vehicles from Toys R Us? If so, do they fit well with 25A/ROC/30A GI Joes? I am interested in the APC or the Troop Transport Truck.

I decided to buy some of those True Heroes vehicles found at Toys R Us, and they go great with GI Joe figures. I always saw them as GI Joe knockoffs and sadly, it took a lack of GI Joe products on the market and TRU shutting down for me to notice and start buying them. These vehicle playsets have gotten rave reviews even from longtime Joe collectors. I also bought the massive U-53 Helicopter but didnt open that one yet. I am now looking to make trades for 25A/ROC/30A figures, if anybody is interested.

I bought the True Heroes Attack Submarine today and it is amazing. I love how the colors match with my Wet Suit 2002 figure. I dont think Hasbro even made a submarine like this for GI Joes. The cockpit can fit a 6" figure with his legs outstretched but not bent. I am using this as a GI Joe sub for now, but if the Aquaman movie has some good figures coming out with it, I might use it as a submarine for Aquaman or Ocean Master and their Atlantean warriors. I cannot say enough good things about these True Heroes vehicles. I highly recommend them if you need your GI Joe fix keeping in mind that these arent marketed to GI Joe collectors.

PJ , I forgot to mention the submarine has electronic lights and sounds, so if you brought it to a pool, somebody might get electrocuted

Seeing that the True Hero vehicles work with Joes, and the sales at TRU I may have to pick a few up. Thanks for the pics LA Times

These things arent really collectors items, so most vehicles should still be easy to find. The one that might be a little hard to track down is the SWAT van which I use as a Cobra Urban Assault vehicle

Nice! A few of these vehicles and some GI Joe sticker sheets and you're good to go.

A quick True Hero conversion. Not bad for $20.

Just watched the Toys That Made Us episode sbout GI Joes and it made me incredibly nostalgic. Does Hasbro not have a GI Joe line anymore? I’d love to get my hands on a new 3 and 3/4” military line of figures and vehicles, but I can’t even find a retailer that has even those True Heroes figures now that TRU is closed. It seems like GI Joe is the one major toy property from my childhood that isn’t coming back.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I don’t want to buy 80’s figures off eBay or pay exorbitent over-retail prices.

I recently listened to a podcast (I believe it was Fully Poseable) that had on one of the GI Joe artwork designers for their packages. Hasbro does still have the line but majority of their new stuff comes out through their subscriptions. I'm not really sure how that works or where to even sign up for it. But he did state that we can expect a lot of new releases around the release of the next movie which, if I remember correctly, is scheduled for 2019. There are still quite a few of the shared exclusives on Big Bad but other than that, ebay is really your only option.

I hope it’sbetter than the last two. Also, I hope they do bad ass vehicles like they did in the 80’s.

I didn’t buy any from the past movie release but reviews on Amazon say the quality was crap so hopefully that gets corrected.

Ultimate Roadblock and Ultimate Storm Shadow from the Retaliation line were good, but I never found them in stores. The Bruce Willis Joe Colton figure can also be used as a John McClain figure. I regret not buyin the Storm Shadow/Firefly/Cobra Invasion Trooper set when it was in stores. This figure was hideous and probably the reason for all the bad reviews

Can someone explain to me where one would go to buy the modern GI Joes? I see they're making modern-style ones with more articulation, but I can't figure out where to buy them. Hasbro's website doesn't have any. I found a few on BigBadToyStore, but they're like $50 a figure which is outrageous for a 3 3/4" figure.
Where does one go to buy current G.I. Joe figures as easily as I can buy Marvel Legends figures?

I didn’t know they were still making them? Did you try Hasbro Toy Shop?

I have no idea if they're still taking new subs though because they can only ship to the end of this year. You may have already had to sign up. That is the price too. spamS actually isn't ripping anyone off too badly. These are more or less made to order, so they cost more. Good news is that Hasbro has pushed the FSS to close up likely due to the fact that they're going to begin shipping new Joe figures in the near future and don't want any competition. www.gijoeclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?39-GIJCC-Figure-Subscription-Service-Updates

Thanks, man. I think I may just wait to see if Hasbro pushes out merch for the new movie. I just worry that it's going to be only 6" figures and maybe 1 vehicle every 6 months.

Just thought I'd stop in for my yearly complaint about how Hasbro should be embarrassed for what they done to this line. IMO there is no excuse not to have some sort of figures out on shelves. And with all the people begging for a 6-7 inch line, I have no idea what they are waiting for.
