I've been watching Hunter X Hunter nonstop since I saw it on Toonami and got hooked, such a great anime! So far I'm on episode 92. That's one of those animes that's just way too long. Now it's not Pokemon/DBZ/One Piece/Bleach long but I feel it could have been wrapped up. It's not too bad lol but there's a lot of similarities from other animes taken from Hunter X Hunter like Naruto and Cell from DBZ. But yeah I'm surprised it's not finished yet, wonder how far they're going to go with it.

Personal all-time favorite, namely for the Chimera Ant arc (which is pretty much my favorite story I've ever experienced [though that's not to say it's without it's flaws]). You still haven't seen anything else, the series best episodes are still some ways away. Favorite arc & character so far? Yeah I'm currently on the Chimera Ant Arc right now, so it's pretty good not yet finished though. As for my favorite arc I'll have to say when Gon were taking the Hunter Exam mainly cuz I enjoyed it more, but yeah I'm still far behind and not yet close to finishing. As for my favorite character or characters I really like Gon and Killua equally, Feitan (Phantom Troupe) and Hisoka cuz he's freaking hilarious with him trying to get at Gon and getting turned on lol, but I'll say Hisoka is my top favorite. lol, I love Hisoka too, though he's only my fourth favorite character. I like Meruem, Kurapika & Killua more than him but there aren't many HxH characters that I dislike. Gon is really interesting & Feitan is just flat-out awesome. He reminds me a lot of Hiei from Togashi's last series Yu Yu Hakusho, which is a plus I guess. Interesting, the Hunter Exam is one of my least favorite arcs in the show, though I still like it. The similarities with Naruto are because Naruto took from Hunter x Hunter, not the reverse. Kishimoto is a huge fan of Togashi work & has openly admitted that his series (both Yu Yu Hakusho & Hunter x Hunter) have strongly influenced his work. As a matter of a fact, Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho inspired Sasuke's character & the Sharigan (as well as other techniques he didn't specify). But yeah, there's an undeniable influence from DBZ in Hunter x Hunter, Chimera Ant arc has a lot of similarities to the Cell saga, not just Cell himself. Though I definitely don't consider a negative, considering the disparity in content otherwise. The main reason Hunter x Hunter hasn't finished yet is because of the amount & duration of hiatus's Togashi takes. His last hiatus lasted over a year & a half. I think he said he has three-four arcs outlined after Chimera Ant or so. Though it'll likely be a few years before we ever see the most recent stuff be animated.

Rewatching Kenshin. Still one of the best animes of all time even with the almost 20 year old animation.

Pretty good list. I'd love to be able to watch more anime. Is this from Crunchyroll?

Just found it randomly on imgur. Oh - I wonder if he meant the image or where they were made... Either way, it was a '48 Anime You Need To See' type deal. For some reason I thought it was a list of anime available on a streaming network. Not sure why I thought that now.

So how 'bout that news about Crunchyroll? What's the news? I must've missed it. Just found it randomly on imgur. Oh - I wonder if he meant the image or where they were made... Either way, it was a '48 Anime You Need To See' type deal. Haha, I had actually thought the news was Crunchyroll getting those movies, got me really excited. But oh well. Of all those must-see movies, I've only seen ten of them or about 21% of it. I've heard of most of them though at least, not Barefoot Gen & a few others but I'll look into them. There's plenty I want to see from that list though, namely Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Tokyo Godfathers & Angel's Egg.

Crunchyroll is opening up a dubbing studio, starting with a few series, it was announced at the beginning of last week.

Looking into I see that the batch of series they plan to start with our all series that don't interest me very much.

I watched The Castle of Cagliostro converted to 3D last night. It was ing magical. It was just a 2D to 3D conversion on my projector so I wasn't expecting much, but I was completely blown away. I cannot believe 3D didn't catch on. It makes everything so much better. Even the subtle detail of a mountain far off on that background popping out with realistic definition adds so much.

I know live DBZ films are not looked at fondly, but is there any love for RobotUnderground's Light of Hope YouTube 3 part series? They finally aired the teaser for part 2 last night:

Finished up Accel World. A bit cheese, boarder line child appropriate, but good enough to invest interest. Now it's time to hunt down a Figma figure.

I got a B1G1 Free coupon ($25, or less) on used stuff. I didn't find anything I really wanted, but did manage to find these. Not too bad of a deal, even though I can find the complete series on the bay for about $20-$30 more. Still, I got them b/c I'm slowly introducing my children to anime.

Picked up Once Piece Season One First and Second Voyages the other day. I didn't get into the manga until Impel Down so I'm looking forward to starting the show from the beginning.
I also got Trigun: Into the Badlands. Is anyone a Trigun fan? I knew absolutely about it going in and I was pleasantly surprised. Not the greatest thing I've ever seen, but definitely a solid movie.

What's the age range on Sailor Moon? My daughter is into anime but she just turned 12, I don't want to get some DVDs for her if she won't be into it.
