LLLBD (I don't know how to tag) & other Rurouni Kenshin fans, according to Anime News Network, Rurouni Kenshin will be continuing next year! Pretty crazy to think after like 17 years of the manga completing, the series is returning with an all new arc. I found this picture advertisment for it on another site, the text apparently reads "And so the stage moves to Hokkaido". There are spoilers for those who haven't seen Kenshin up through at least the very end of the Kyoto arc. Anyway, I'll probably wait until the whole thing finishes publishing to check it out, but I'm pretty ecstatic about this. Both the Kyoto & Jinchuu arcs are two of the finest arcs in battle shonen history, and the Kyoto arc in particular, is easily my favorite arc sans Hunter x Hunter's finest (Chimera Ant & Yorknew City), but all those three are masterpieces regardless. My hope is that this announcement somehow kicks off a new anime adaption. It seemed to me that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood started a trend of old battle shonens getting another shot at an adaption, with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Hunter x Hunter, and Ushio & Tora being the examples that pop into my mind, it kind of baffles me that Kenshin hasn't received the same treatment. While I doubt they'd be able to top the original series in some ways, namely the music which is godly, but I'd love to see a new adaption of Kenshin from the very beginning. Covering all the arcs, including the manga version of the Raijūta story, and then hopefully by the time it finishes up with the Jinchuu arc, the Hokkaido arc will be ready to adapt too.

Just found this thread, and thought I would join on in a sense. Anyway, the anime/manga that I normally watch/read are Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Tiger Mask (all versions) and Pokémon. So yeah there's my introduction into this thread.

So yeah there's my introduction into this thread. Welcome dude! I love JoJo's, are you anime-only or do you read the manga? And what's your favorite part? Myself, I've read parts 1-7 and seen all seasons of the anime, my favorite part is 7. Part 4 with the anime. Just found this thread, and thought I would join on in a sense. Orange was one of my favorite anime that came out last year, it didn't make me cry but it came close no less than three times. Pretty emotionally powerful stuff. I considered picking up the manga the other day actually.

I read the manga as well and I'm more of a part 6 guy and for the Anime, I can agree with you on that one for Part 4, too good for this world. Can't wait for Part 5 (although it's not particularly one of my favorite parts)

Disregard that my last post had l.L.L.B.D say what I wanted to say, I still suck at quoting things.

Eh, I'm an even fan of both. Give me something gritty and I'll watch it. Give me something cutsie and I'll watch it. As long as the story is good, I'll enjoy a old rom com as much as a slasher show.

Working on the Adventures manga. It's surprisingly violent considering it's Pokemon.

Amazon recently launch several new add on channels to their Prime video service. Their anime channel, Anime Strike, is ing amazing! It just might be the best anime streaming service out there. There's a seven day free trial then it's $5 a month. But you have to be a Prime member. I heard you can just subscribe to their streaming service without paying $100 a year (so no free shipping) but I haven't looked into it. They have a bunch of shows and movies. I just binged the only season of High School of the Dead then I watched Akira and Tokyo Godfathers. As far as I can tell everything is available in both subs and dubs. Amazon claims they're adding new content every week. I can't confirm this because I haven't had it for a week yet. But I can confirm that I use this more than Funimation Now, which surprised me. EDIT: Everything that has a dub is on there. For some reason Tokyo Godfathers never got an English dub so it's sub only on Strike. So if you see something that doesn't have an English option that's because one was never created.

I prefer 'pre-Moe' era myself...how about you guys? Watching anime with too much kawaii sensibilities takes me out of it... Yeah I really don't care for all that cutesy bullcrap. Everything either looks like a Lisa Frank notebook or it looks like Yu Gi Oh.

Given how popular it got, I was expecting it to be full down the throat yuri style and I'm pleasantly surprised it was not. Good story with a subtle undertone between Yuri and Victor. I like it.

Sorry about the triple posts. I'm usually pretty mindful about that. I'll combine them next time. Is Yuri on Funimation? I'll have to check that out. I'm on an anime only diet these days. And you really do need to check out Anime Strike. I cannot recommend it enough. I wouldn't use it as your only anime source though. It's only a couple weeks old and it just isn't there yet but what they have is great. It's clearly going to be one of, if not the best service out there. Now I'm off to catch the Rumble the watch Garden of Words.
