AIGHT.
Ancient Magus Bride is over, and it left more questions than answers which peeves me, as that has become a top five all time anime for me. The dynamic between Chise and Elias is just too damn good. I NEED MORE, KADOKAWA.
Citrus ended about the way I anticipated. Pretty meh.
I finally got around to finishing The Asterisk War, now that's one of the best tournament arcs I have seen in a long time. DBZ could have taken notes. The Phoenix Festa was done really well, and while you knew the outcome from the beginning, the animation for all of the fights was superb. Plus, the story going into the final battle was sublime and actually made you think they were going to go the opposite way for the ending for a moment. Now where's my season 3 with the Gryps Festa?
I'm catching up on My Hero Academia. I'm about halfway through THAT tournament arc, and again, it's been pretty well done. I like the concept that Deku wasn't a totally useless piece of crap that suddenly got super powers like has happened in other anime. They built up accordingly, showing his personality was stronger than his eventual powers. The big battle that involved All Might was really well done, and it got to show off some of the other heroes abilities in a way to shine, like Tsu, Eraser Head, Megaphone and Dark Shadow. Also, it does a good job of making you root for 1-A and hate the League, while being caught in between on if you want to root for Todo and Kecchan over Deku, Uraraka, Tsu and Dark Shadow...though I can see why people hate Kecchan. Easily.

Isao Takahata, director and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, died at 82. I know that this isn't a big Ghibli crowd but he directed some of my favorite films. RIP

Started rewatching Naruto Shippuden last month and I’m already on episode 400 so 100 left to go. I was surprised to learn that 221/500 episodes were filler, that’s 44% of the series! Smh 🤦🏽♂️
Got a few episodes of Boruto to watch till I’m up to date but I’m not in a rush for that.
Also contemplating starting Attack On Titans because a lot of my family and friends have recommended it to me but I’m really lazy when it comes to starting new shows. Same with One Piece and One Punch Man.

I should really invest in buying some though just to use as references for my artwork which has pretty much been manga based for the past 3 years now.

Same with One Piece and One Punch Man. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Pokémon, Dragon Ball, and Boruto are basically 50% filler. If you're watching a 150+ episode series, that's likely the case. Soooo My Hero Academia and P5A start their seasons in a couple of hours. Can't wait. Lostorage randomly started a second season unannounced to me today. Just kinda showed up. Not that I'm complaining, but I didn't imagine that happening.

Gonna have to give those a try. You need to give the free trials of Funimation and Crunchyroll a try when you have time to binge watch. I need a fellow fan in here.

I actually have Funimation but I haven't watched it in a couple months. I've been working 60+ hour weeks for a while now. I'm hoping this calms down soon.

Alright here's the deal. You name anything on Funimation and I will watch it and get back to you as soon as I'm done. I can probably watch Saturday night but I have a rare day off on Sunday so it will be then by the lastest. Anything you want, I'll check it out. All I ask is you watch either Blame! (which apparently is pronounced "blam") or Castle of Cagliostro. Hell, you don't even have to do it now. Just sometime within the next week or two. And since I have a free day I can finally get started on WFWF.

And since I have a free day I can finally get started on WFWF. Aight. There's three in total. You can pick based on your time constraints. Death Parade, Your Lie in April, and The Ancient Magus Bride. Death Parade is about reincarnation and how the good and the bad are seperated after death in a very unique way. Bar games. Billiards, Darts, Trump, DDR, some interesting things. This is the shortest of the bunch. 12 episodes, so about 4 hours of binging unless you're like me and fall so in love with the openings and closings you listen to them through. The Ancient Magus Bride is about a girl who witnessed her mother's suicide, and lived with the guilt until when she was about to take her own life, she's purchased by a mage and is to become his new apprentice. 28 episodes, four of them however are "prequels" so to say that help you understand some of the terminology in the show. They're Cliffnotes for the series, but if you're familiar with stuff like Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings you're fine. Your Lie in April is my second favorite anime of all time. Favorite is Kenshin but you don't have time to watch a 100 episode saga, so here's 22. It's about a pianist who was a prodigy thought to be better than Beethoven. However, due to crippling anxiety and PTSD from something discussed in show, he becomes unable to hear the notes he's playing as songs play on. Yet, there's a violinist he meets who's determined to get him on stage as her accompanist for a local competition. You don't cry, you're not human. Castle will be watched hopefully by the end of next week. I'm currently without my Netflix device as it's in Texas being fixed because Microsoft and I'll be damned to pay Netflix for another streaming device slot. They take enough from me. WFWF YAY!

bad guy™ I am REALLY digging Death Parade! It's got a bit of a Hell Girl vibe. Is never heard of it before, thanks for the recommendation. I got a bit of a late start so I'm only episode 5 or 6 so I'll check back in when I'm further along.

Plus, the Bradio and Last Theater provide great opening and closing songs respectively.

For anyone who has watched Devilman Crybaby. What did you think and is it worth watching?
