People who write a song about how they just want some time alone, and then follow it up with a song about how they're lonely. Stupid contradicting human emotions. I don't know if you've ever realized this, but songs can be written at different times in the artists lives, and don't follow a timeline.

I love how since nicks 'No Bashing' post is not stickied anymore, people pretend he never put it up. I just love it. And as for the music thing, I honestly listen to a little of everything. Though I have never been keen on soft rock. But ya gotta remember, just because you dont like a style of music, does not mean everyone has to dislike it.

Humm lets see. 1. Women singers having to be shaped like a tooth pick 2. Emo 3. Music so complicated that nothing can be understood 4. Emo 5. Kids becoming "emo" or "goth" because it is popular. Care to explain what "emo" is, because I really doubt you have a clue.

But that is just my opinion.

Using clips of old songs, tv and movie clips in rap songs. ing pain in the ass. Oh and white rappers :cough: Eminem :cough: thinking that they are thugs just because they can rap. You grew up in a bad nieghborhood, so I guess it means you are a gangster right? Well actually growing up in rough times and stuff actually can make you a "gangster" in some ways. You dont have to be black to be a thug or a gangster. But Eminem even said himself "I just do not got the patience.... To deal with these cocky cocasians who think Im some $$$$$ who just tries to be black cause I talk with an accent, and grab on my balls so they always keep askin, The same f*cking questions!" -The Way I Am Usually when you spend your whole life around black people, you sorta start to act like them. Its not like your gonna be a preppy white kid after youve hung out with black people for 20 years. And plus its not like hes gonna wear a pollo/collared shirt and nice dress pants when he raps. No, Hes gonna dress like a steriotypical black person or "hood clothes". Ive always liked Eminem. Hes not "Slim Shady" anymore. He doesnt rap about killing random people, swearing propusely randomly, or doing drugs anymore. Hes grown up and matured into Marshall Mathers and sings songs about the way it is and his life. Think before you judge someone and say stuff.

Rap needs to go back to the 80s and 90s. Old School

I'd like to see the current mainstream die out. Well, actually change would be a better choice of words. All the mainstream rock is sooo simple, generic, and sounds the same. All the rap is pretty much the same, but just alot worse. People are so narrow minded. That is because it isn't really about the music anymore, its about money and image. Most Mainstream music is terrible. It is the lesser known bands that will keep music alive. I know, I know. That's such a shame.

I think a trend in music that needs to die out are the elitist fans that bitch constantly about "mainstream". The ones that think if it's on the radio, the band sold out and they suck.

I really hate this whole new thing going on, where nobody shaves their beards and grows ear-length hair and on top of that they swish it sideways, so that every time they move their head they WHIP it sideways to get the hair back in place. I wouldn't mind this, but EVERYONE has it. Plus, I really hate the new style of everyone wearing tight plaid shirts or plaid shorts with a pink polo. I still wear cargo pants and those double-layered shirts.
And the worse trend... jeans? Every single concert I went to the past year, every single guitarist wore tight or pale jeans, had a very heavy beard, had sideway-swished (I call it that) hair and occasionally wore glasses. Erk....

Bands who take themselves seriously dressing up to perform (this should be reserved for gimmick bands only). Songs about self imposed "personality disorders". You're not the only social outcast out there, muffin. Get over it. Shoulda told that to GG Allin

Slipknot aren't even that bad in terms of music, but you're saying get rid of -Gwar When music gets rid of Gwar, I get rid of music. Plus Juggalos need to die. If ICP wants to rap, fine. I hate Juggalos, period. They are all dancing around going "OH YAH WE WEAR FACE PAINT WE ARE FAMILY!!!" And this is coming from a guy who was actually one of them a while back, and I was lucky enough to get out before it consumed my life. ICP and their friends want to make money by rapping, fine, I am not forced to listen to it. But just cause a couple kids listen to the same band and wear the shirts and the necklaces does not mean that they have the right to be ignorant.

Not in music as such, but more to do with music fans;
people who think I only like one kind of music, then insult me or look down on me because I listen to something else really annoys me. For example, I know a rocker who hates the fact I like over music as opposed to just rock.
Today I listened to The Audition, Venemous Concept, Tech N9ne and Elton John. Yet people still stereotype me, don't realise that I listen to more than one genre, or don't like it. Ughh.

hate music (especially in rap and hip hop), gloryfication of sexual promiscuity/violence/guns/drugs, excessive swearing, arrogance, perfect looking people/models, unimaginative music videos.
that just about covers it.

I'll go with dressing in outlandish clothing just to get attention for your music.
It was never cool. Ever.
Also, overproducing records needs to stop. I can't tell you how many live performances I've seen lately in which the singers struggled on stage to perform their studio material. If they didn't overproduce the material so damn much we'd actually enjoy listening to some of the live performances.
I'd love to see a continuation of the blues resurgance that's happened lately though.

Bro it is an image thing. Bands these days pretty much HAVE to have an image to be successful. Unfortunately it is that look that is in right now. I do not really know how I feel about it yet. I mean, a lot of jobs you have to wear a suit and tie to work, but is that how you dress on the weekends to hang out with your family, probably not. It was kind of the same thing for me, when I played in a band, I had to dress "bandish" for us to look professional, but when I got home it went back to plain shorts and a t shirt. Unfortunately being in a band is a job and it has requirements.
