Alright, well this morning I got this e-mail from Ebay: Dear ebay member You have received this email because you or someone had used your account to make fake bids at eBay. For security purposes, we are required to open an investigation into this matter. To help speed up this process, please access the following form to complete the verification of your eBay account registration informations: The purpose of this verification is to ensure that your eBay account has not been fraudulently used and to combat the fraud from our community. We appreciate your support and understanding, as we work together to keep eBay a safe place to trade. Thank you for your patience in this matter. Regards, Safeharbor Department (Trust and Safety Department) eBay Inc. Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is only a notification. Please Note: If we do not receive the appropriate eBay account verification within 48 hours, then we will assume this eBay account is fraudulent and will be suspended. Now when I sign up, its asking me for my debit/credit card, which I do Not have. I signed up by using my Paypal account, so this makes no sense. I also won 3 things yesterday (all under 100 dollars); so what the ?

As far as I'm aware, you've always needed a credit card to use eBay

I'm not 100% sure, but it may be one of those scam emails that are going around. Go directly to www.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED, and look under your messages, and see if the same email was sent (go to my ebay, and there would be a message right there).

That is a scam email. Do not respond, or do what they say. I get them once a month or so from people pretending to be PAYPAL and ebay. Look at what the actual email address you are sending the reply to is, it is usually very telling.

They got my cousin with that, thank god he and I had an AIM conversation open and I was telling him about the scam before he forwarded the email. Crazy timing.
DO NOT REPLY.

Definitely fake. I get about 2-3 of those per week. Just disregard anything like that from now on.

Do not send them any personal info. It is definetly a scam. If Ebay wanted to send you an important message like that, they would send you one to your Ebay messages.

If I get one more of those, someone is getting stabbed in their face. I'm not even a damn registered eBay user

I believe you need a credit card to create an eBay account. I might be wrong, I don't know. I have an Ebay account and no credit card. Really? I wanted to make an eBay account to try to get this DVD so I went to make an account and it asked for my credit card, so I'm all "YO WTF IM 16 aint got no credit card lolz", so I talk to Customer Service and they said I needed a card. Plus I ended up losing the auction.
