cool snake. The only reptile i've ever owned is a leopard gecko, i still have it. I like to look at snakes in stores, outside, and on animal planet, but they are a lot of work to take care of.
What do you feed this new snake? I'm assuming it's still too small to eat mice. Does it eat crickets, or other insects?

Sweet, I love snakes but my mum always told me if I ever got a snake she'd kick me out. So, as soon as I move out I'll get one

I now own a Komodo Dragon, just let it walk freely around the neighbourhood. That would be a hell of a sight to see.

I hate when people refer to their pets as a "Collection" When you get to 16 snakes, its a collection or a zoo. This new snake eats pinkies, basically week old mice. Anywho, here are the pics of my others, the only one I dont have pictures of right now is the Albino Burmese Python, im picking her up this friday. Central American Boa Yellow Anaconda 50/50 Califronia Banded King Snake, died last week Red Checkered Garter Northern Garter Black Bellied King Snake 1 of my Red Tail Boas My other Red Tail Boa, by far my favorite snake. Burmese Python, biggest one, shes around 8 1/2 feet to 9 Other Burmese Python Corn Snake Macklott's Python Ball Python: Female Got a nice shot of her yawning Ball Python: Male Ball Python: Male 100% Het for Albino I should have some pictures on my Albino Burm this friday or saturday.

Where do you keep all these? I assume you keep the members of different species seperated so they don't fight/eat each other. Do you have a "reptile room" in your house where you keep them all in cages/tanks? Also, have you ever considered breeding any of the snakes?

Do you have a "reptile room" in your house where you keep them all in cages/tanks? Also, have you ever considered breeding any of the snakes? Right now I keep them in my bedroom, after I get more different species ill end up moving them to their own room. The Ball Pythons are together for now, I breed the balls, soon the 100% het albino will be removed from the cage, so the normal two can mate this fall, and so he can grow, then Ill get a 100% het albino female and breed those two. My garters are together, and so are my burms, the albino burm will have her own tank. I turned one of my closets into a snake holding place, set up a table, has the ball pythons, and the anconda on the table, then the top shelf of my closet has the garters, king and corn. For the most part they are really easy to care for. Feeding time can be a little stressful when some refuse to eat, or some eat then they become stressed and regurgitate their meal, my 9 footer did such just a few weeks ago, was not a plesent smell. Within the next 5 years atleast ill have to have some custom built large cages for the burms, they can reach up to 26 feet, and mine are female so they grown larger than males. My boas should only get up to 10 feet, as will the anaconda. I plan to add a Rainbow Boa, Tri Color Milk Snake and a Tangerine Milk Snake, a Western Hog Nose, A pair of Carpet Pythons, and im thinking about getting a Reticulated Python, The only thing holding me off on that snake is that snake holds the record for longest recored snake at 33 feet, and they grow fast. The only snake of mine thats not really that tame would be the anaconda, i can normally hold her pretty fine Ill get bit every once in a while, im used to it, honestly it doesnt hurt as much as people think it would, its more of a shock that you were bit than it is pain. I plan to breed my redtails this fall, and some albino redtails within the next 2 years, im picking up a female albino redtail in 2 months, my buddy has a male so we will split the offspring.

I'm intrigued by the pictures, to be honest. More than I was before you posted your "zoo". Anyways, don't confuse that as a desire to buy one. Hah! Some nice snakes, but I couldn't imagine having a anaconda, seriously. And I doubt the female Ball Python was yawning... ok, maybe not doubt, but that's still as intimidating as a lion yawning.

I like snakes, but I never understood having one as a pet. You can't really play with it and they don't really "do" anything.
I'd rather have a cat or a dog that you can play with or at least sit on the couch with and pet while you watch TV or something.

My snakes ill have out all the time, they just wrap around my neck and shoulders and lay around while i watch tv. But sometimes they can get a bit active, people dont realize that snakes actually have their own unique personalities. Sometimes ill have my 9 footer out and she will just lay around my room. Yeah you can do more with cats and dogs, I loved my dog and my cats are pretty cool, but my snakes are just awesome. Ball Pythons are probably the best starter snake for people, they dont get big, they lay on your lap most of the time or around your wrists, and dont get too big, rather cheap if you dont get them from the pet store.

That's one fine looking snake man.
All of those snakes above freaked me out kinda tho, i don't hate them and i'm not officially scared of them, but i would never keep one as a pet let alone many.

That's a pretty cool snake. But's it not my favourite out of your pet snakes. Although, I don't think I would want to own one.

Chameleons are the ****. Yeah, shes a sweetheart though, has never done anything to show a sign of her about to strike. She will let off a nice big hissing sound when she breahs and it scares the hell out of people that havent been around her, i always get a kick out of it, cant wait for her to get up to the 20+ foot mark. Ive wanted a Chameleon for a while now, Ive seen some cool ones, I had an Iguana that died, reptiles are tricky to care for, you really gotta know your crap before you drop alot of money on them, thats the main reason i havent gotten a chameleon just yet. But everyone that ive talked to at reptile shows say they are great pets, probably something Ill get after i get a frilled lizard.
