The doctors definitely removed a piece of his skull. Probably to reduce the swelling.
My friend was in an accident and had 1/3 of her skull removed to reduce the swelling. This looks similar to that.
The damage looks to be in the frontal lobe as well which will forever impair his cognitive processes and motor activity.
I'm surprised that they are letting his hair grow out, usually they shave it down so it doesn't get in the way for future surgeries. Maybe the doctors are planning to have him stay in that state for a while.
Nick will have to live with this for the rest of his life. If jail time won't affect him, the knowledge of this tragedy should (if he has a conscience).

Guy should have worn his seatbelt and maybe he wouldn't look like that. Nick should have not been drinking or this whole thing would have never happened. Even still, Click it or Ticket. Nick wore his seat belt right? And he wasn't hurt. Nick should not have been drinking and driving, but come one now not everyone knows when it's time to stop drinking and start driving, but everyone knows that you should wear a seatbelt.

Nick made his friend into a candy dish.
And Nick should be hung for it.

jesus ing christ These were my EXACT words the moment I saw that picture. That was really horrible to see, especially moments before I go to sleep. I still believe Nick deserves a bit more time in jail (even moreso after seeing the aftermath) but I, also, still strongly agree that he wasn't 100% at fault. Knowing that Nick was drunk and his tendencies when he's behind the wheel, along with the road conditions, Graziano should have never rode shotgun, let alone doing it without wearing his seatbelt. Still though...damn.

Oh god. Poor guy. Does he have to live with hole for the rest of his life? I think the hole in his head is the least of the worries. He needs cognitive processes back first of he'll never even know he has the hole in his head, but it is likely it is NOT from the accident but from surgery to relieve pressure. Any basic thinking processes are either gone or horrendously limited. The hole won't end up mattering

Those pictures aside, Nick Hogan deserves more than 8 months in prison for what he did. Honestly, I hardly ever wear my seat belt, but that doesn't mean I deserve to get in an accident that will put me on the shelf for the rest of my life, or even get into an accident at all, injury free or not. Does not mean that I have it coming to me whatsoever. Yes, John was stupid for getting in the car when Nick was drunk and given his driving record, so John isn't off scotch free here. Yes, it's horrible the shape he is in and that his life won't ever be the same, but he made a bad mistake. Nick, on the other hand, gets most of the blame because he should have never driven under the influence of alcohol and the way he acted in court and then over the phone with his dad is SICK. He deserves a lot more than 8 months, but the truth is, Nick Hogan won't even be there 8 months because of his name. He will never learn his lesson because he's a spoiled bitch who has no respect for authority or the law in general.
Both were stupid in this case, but Nicks actions outweigh Johns by a ton. The whole situation just sucks

I remember the episode when Nick got his license; Hulk took him to the Police Station where he was shown a video of the affects of driving drunk and street racing. I like some of you don't put the full blame on Nick. The kid knew he was getting into the car with Nick; who had been drinking, and knowing Nick's tendencies of street racing, and he did so without wearing his seatbelt. If he was a good friend; he should have taken the keys from Nick, or called a cab. Ya see, whats with all the blame discussion? Whether it was Hogan's fault, Graziano's fault, or anyone elses fault, NO ONE deserves to live the rest of their life with severe brain damage, especially as bad as this kid's. You cant say, "oh he knew he was drunk so he shouldnt have been with him blah blah". While thats true it doesnt justify it in any way.

As long as Nick gets the whole 8 months, and at the end comes out with some remorse i wil be happy. But doesnt sounds like he will. Sounds like he is trying to get out of prison on his dads coat tails... However Graziano wasnt forced to be in that car, he made a decision just like Hogan did to drive. The only difference is that Hogan got out without a scratch and Graziano didnt. But with all that said I still think Hogan is a spoilt arrogant w*nker

anyone who blames this solely on hogan's kid is an idiots. the guy who got in that car with him is a ing imbecile, he didnt deserve to have this happen to him though. making a stupid mistake when young in my eyes is forgivable in the long run but if these claims that hogans kid doesnt give a **** about what he's done, well i just hope he suffers the same fate

Nick is a prick and doesnt care about his "friend", so the way I see it, once Nick leaves jail as long as the hole in his ass is cratered out like that, ill be happy

They're both equaly to blame, if you think it was entirely Nicks fault, then you're a prick.
