The WWE website reported that Big Show is undergoing an MRI to determine the severity of his injury from last night after waking up finding extreme swelling forcing his eye shut. Show was initially believed to have simply suffered a bad gash when his face hit a porton of steel steps while falling forward outside the ring, but there is fear the swelling may be caused by a broken bone.

Here are the photos of what his eye looks like: www.wwe.com/shows/onenightstand/photos/bigshow/That really sucks. I wonder if he will still be able to compete at Night of Champions, and if not, who would replace him?

The gash looks pretty nasty; the black eye looks a little overdone, which makes me question if it's a legit injury or not.

He might be able to work a match around the issue, but I doubt WWE would take that risk versus giving someone like Punk the opportunity to fight Kane instead so Show can heal up for the future.
Hope something is done, though, as his eye looks pretty nasty.

I think it would be hard to work a match with one eye.

Ken Shamrock, minutes after the fight ended. Gatti, post fight interview, about an hour after the fight. Nick Diaz, the day after the fight with Gomi. It's not fake, bro.

It looks to be really swollen. I wouldn't risk getting in a ring with my eye looking like that.

wow. I can't believe he did that by falling on those steps. I watched the match and his fall didn't really seem that bad....almost slow motion. While watching I actually thought that he didn't even hit his head. Shows you the dangers of WWE, I guess.

It looks kind of rough, but I think he can wor kthrough it. On episodes of ECW leading up he can just sdquash jobbers and never leave his feet and never get hit anywhere near the face and don't you think that'll be healed up in 3 weeks for Night of Champions? At least the swollen eye?
