Finished Black Summer, thank you so much K5 for recommending it, Warren Ellis is just such a good writer that I couldn't stop reading it, really my two favorite parts from it were the end and the beginning which was probably the two greatest things I have read in recent memory which isn't much but still it was amazing.

This is going to sound noobish lol but whats black summer I havent heard of it yet and whos the main character? The miniseries alternates between flashbacks detailing the origin of a superhero team called The Seven Guns, and the present day, where one of their members kills the President of the United States. The Seven Guns are "an association of politically-aware young scientist-inventors" (according to creator Warren Ellis), who create their own superhuman enhancements through extreme body modification experiments supervised by Tom Noir and Frank Blacksmith. Noir is the brains of the team, but by far the most powerful member is John Horus, whose enhancements make him, for all intents and purposes, invincible. Their first public mission was to free an unspecified West Coast city from a corrupt police force and the criminal city government which backed it. Over time, they have gained the public trust. Tom began an affair with "Laura Torch", one of his teammates.
At some point, as yet unknown, Frank Blacksmith faked his own death in order to start working for the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA decided that The Seven Guns were dangerous, especially Tom Noir, and arranged to kill him in a car bomb. Due to an error, the bomb killed Laura, but Tom was only wounded. Having lost his leg, he retired from superheroics and began a life of drinking and chain-smoking. Meanwhile, the CIA continued to experiment with human enhancement, creating their own super soldiers which they claim were more advanced than The Seven Guns (other than Horus, whose invincibility was a fluke). - plot synopsis of wikipedia. it's by warren ellis, who is one of my favourite writers and has made a lot of other excellent comics. the art is nuts in it too, and the story really develops well.

Just finished up Batman #680, spoilers below.
*I'm sure everyone who has been following this suspected Jet to turn on Bruce, and it goes down here.* Overall, not a great issue, but a really good one. Only took me about 10 minutes to read it though, if that. Can't wait for RIP to wrap up, because I have loved it so far, and want to see how it ends. Just one more issue!

Well I read 3 and I kinda was dissapointed. Maybe its just me but I expected more from this issue. Spoilers below:
*Well this issue was all about him getting his powers. And it felt kinda rushed IMO. It began with him on the phone I believe with his ex and they were talking about getting the papers signed. Then Eddie went to church and he was saying that he wanted to kill himself and spidey and all. And his life was so bad because of spider man. Then the symbiote came went all over him and he became venom attacked police officers asked for the churches fathers forgiveness for what hes done. And then he meets his ex and is all mature and they say they don't know how spider man has ruined eddies life, and that he doesn't even know who he is. Then they show Eddie run away and go home in the mirror and he figures out who spider man is. END OF ISSUE *
Overall I give the issue and 8/10 I was expecting a 9/10. Good read though.
Going to be reading Wolverine first class TPB. It collects issues 1-4 I believe.
