Does anyone else think it looks stupid? I know there are rare cases where guys wear kneepads over their tights or over jeans in streetfights for example, but on the whole, it doesn't happen. So when people do it with figures it looks silly to me.
What do you folks think?

i think knee pads should be molded now (like on R3 Big show etc)

for people who had kneepads over their tights with a different design to the tights, it looks better with them

I have elbow pads over my RA Kevin Thorn & Undertaker figures knees. In some cases it looks good.

it all depends on colour and who it is and what type of pants or pads

For the guys that wear pads over their tights (Jericho, Bret Hart, X-Pac, etc.) it looks fine.

It really depends on the figure.
Some figures look godawful with the joints exposed without pads. When I had ECW 1 Thorn before I covered them up with red pads and while it didn't look amazing it did make the figure look better.
I guess it all depends on the design on the tights as well as how well the colors match up.

It depends on the figure because of the designs and color on the figure. I noticed DA Kneepads look good on the DA2 Edge.

It must be a pain if you're a MOC collector and a really nice figure comes with knee pads over their attire.
If a wrestler wears kneepads, it's nice to display the figure wearing it's kneepads.
The one thing i like about knee pads is that they help keep the knee joint on figures nice and tight.

I always do it, to me they look stupid without them, knees look too thin. I put them on every single one nearly.

I think figures look better with kneepads and elbow pads, obviously I don't put them on everyone but everyone who wears them needs them. For those who wear pads under their tights I guess it looks better without pads unless the pads are the same colour as the tights anyway or the pads have the tight design printed on (which doesn't really happen).

It works in a lot of cases. CS Rick Rude, for example. Rude wore black knee pads over his tights and tucked slightly into his boots with that outfit, and Jakks did nothing to decorate the tights below the low thigh (not to mention the back!). A pair of knee pads was too big, but black old-style elbow pads on the knees makes the figure look far more accurate than it does originally.
