Mankind couldn't protect himself with his hands cuffed behind his back and Rock decided to whack Mankind flat on the head with a char a good 4-5 EXTRA times than they had planned. There is no reason for that many unprotected chairshots to the head and I don't know why Rock took advantage like that because you could literally kill someone that way. I watched Beyond the Mat to me and it looked so twisted afterwards a bloodied, tattereD Mankind backstage walking up to the Rock who is all decked out in an Armani shirt and gold jewelry and sh-t and Rock never even apologized and Mick FOley thanked Rock for the match. Pretty disgusting to me. This is EXACTLY the match I was going to reply with, and for exactly the same reason. I watched it just a little while ago (a couple weeks or so), and Rock just hits him with SO many goddamn chairshots and it still makes me cringe today thinking about Foley's kids watching Mick just got destroyed by shot after shot. It's still scary as , almost a decade later. Edit: Here's the segment. God, still hard to watch Mick's family SCREAMING after every chairshot.

The only matches that "scare" me involve barb wire.
At One Night Stand 2006 I seriously was afraid that somebody was going to lose an eye.
Born to be Wired 97 was a little difficult to watch also.

Eddie Guerrero/ JBL-Judgement Day 2004. I thought Eddie was going to die from all that blood loss.

Not really a match but there are certain moments when you see a move and you think how can that be done. There have been several times watching ROH and that happened. Such as when Mike Quackenbush grabs a tomstone piledriver and wraps up the legs and legitimately looks like he drops them on there head.
Several matches now that I look back after The Benoit incident makes me think. such as The Dreamer ? Weapons match in ECW they hit eachother over the head again and again. The Cactus Jack Sandman frying pan incident made me think wow that guy is probably going too be bad off some day. Well then the OMG sandman is using him as a pillow. OMG Sandman is breaking his ear drums by snoring. That and The Mick Foley Rock chairs.
Has anyone noticed which side of the chair was used by the rock. was it the one where the top goes backwards or forwards. They use folding chairs so if he got hit on the side where you sit it would be a lot less damage then if it is the side you push backwards. It'd be like tackling mark Henry compared too tackling rey mysterio.

When I was younger I was scared of the first Hell in a Cell match. Mostly because I had no idea what it was when they mentioned it. Same but my reason was becuase just being in a cell in a match with The Undertaker.

I have to say the Mankind/Rock bout from Royal Rumble 1999. This match is still part of why I think Rock is such a douchebag. I agree with that. You have a 275-pound man smashing a chair over your head full throttle, and like you said, Foley did not have his hands free to cushion the shots. Why Rock would hit him more times than expected I'll never understand, and especially because he never apologized -- plus this is all just a few months after Foley's infamous Cell incident with Taker (but at least Taker didn't do more than what was planned). And to think that that man (Rock) would go on 8 years later to star in a Disney movie is even stranger to think about. I don't understand how after 13 years of the brutal pain Foley went through in his career from 86-99, he was still able to churn out a best selling book without even a ghost writer. That's why I like Foley so much. I'm a huge Rock mark too, but to me the Rumble 99 incident is a dark cloud over his legacy.

Hell, tbh, I really like the RR99 match, yeah sure The Rock went too far, but Foley was yelling, asking him to hit him, plus, it got even more heat on The Rock, which was needed. Plus, I always laugh at the part where he's hitting the bell right beside his ear, lol

The Mass Transit Incident makes me sick to my stomach, but no wrestling matches have ever actually scared me. Did you see that live or something cause I can't find a video of it. Armageddon 06, Seeing Joey get smashed in the face was brutal.
