So anybody know what the deal is with hometown wrestlers always jobbing? CM Punk did it tonight, JR gets beat down in his hometown, Mickie James jobbed at home. Don't you think they'd want to make the crowd happy? Or is this more of Vince McMahon not giving the crowd what they want, but "what they need"? IMO, it shows a distinct lack of class by Junior.

It is mostly that in their home town it is expected that they win so for the hell of it or just naturally for story progression they get beat down so that the town watches the next week to rally for them.

i'm guessing most of the time they'll have the person lose or get beat down really bad as a way to get a lot of heat on the heel that night

They had Orton kick Matt in Greensboro on the New Years Eve show. It's just a way for the heels to get over.

I'm not a CM Punk fan and i was there, but after Raw went off air he beat JBL to retain the title. So the CM Punk fans of Chicago left going home happy.

Because most people expect hometown wrestler will win, that doesn't mean will win or lose. that just happened, and because Punk's suck

Cena lost to Edge at SummerSlam '06 in Boston, only to have Edge return the favour and drop the belt to him at Unforgiven in Toronto. Pretty much always happens.

Punk has no business beating Jericho, or JBL, or Snitsky for that matter.
