He's simply not good enough to be a top guy. Historically speaking, he fits as one of the more impressive bad ass heels. That's the role he's cut out to play. He's a much more impressive physical specimen from the lineage of Samoan heels. That's not exactly a knock. If developed properly, he could have been over huge. Maybe a Babyface run works out better after building that equity.
One thing that he isn't, is a top Babyface. He can't sell well enough, and he doesn't have the charisma. Hulk Hogan knew how to convince an audience he was in peril, that he was pathetic and vulnerable in the moment, Roman doesn't have that type of psychology. No bag of tricks.
He's just himself. A cookie cutter guy, doing cookie cutter things. I like him for the record, but I'm being honest here. He has no character, and he's a lousy babyface.

Goldberg gets way too much criticism for the Saudi match. He got knocked out and couldn't hit his stuff. That has nothing to do with his abilities, as limited as they are.

I highly doubt that Hulk signed an exclusive deal with Storm. Storm doesn't even have a retail presence, the can't even ask for that.
Look at Andre the Giant's merch, his estate doesn't do exclusivity, he just got a Mego. I don't think Hogan is any less savvy with his IP.

Let me play Devil’s Advocate again lol. I really don’t see Patterson pre-Stooges era selling. He’s a legend but easily the Stooges era Patterson and Briscoe is what a lot of us most remember him for. He was more over then than he was at any point in his career. By putting his wrestling era gear underneath, it does give Collectors a chance to display him as a wrestler if they wish. That’s one reason I wasn’t into Jakks’ CS series. They made a lot of old school era figures. I didn’t recognize some of the faces and gear so I passed on some. I wasn’t familiar with the era Briscoe they did so it was an easy pass. Second, Patterson didn’t change much from the late 60s to the 90s. To me he was always older looking and his hair didn’t change much. The second head was no doubt a Stooges head. The final sculpt left the door open for the collector to display him from the 70s to the 2000s. I for one really like the figure. We never have had a Pat Patterson and it’s long overdue! He should have been made in 99/2000, he should have been a CS figure too. I’ll take Patterson any way I can get him. However I won’t pay overprice for him. With all due respect, he’s an amazing man but I’m not going over retail. Especially since I’m searching for two of him. More over? You realize he headlined sold out MSG shows etc. as both a heel and babyface during his ring career? That's like saying because more people of a certain age group remember someone a certain way, it must be the height of their popularity.

He's kind of useless without purple trunks and a young sculpt. The Stooge run was awful. Too bad if it was before Hulkamania, it's irrelevant to Mattel.

Sad to hear how unenthusiastic Bill was about Hogan. Even if WWE gives the ok, there's still checks and balances? Ugh!

Anybody looking to buy SHF IW Thanos or Black Widow? I'm selling both loose/mint for a deal.

Who wants to start taking bets on what gets cancelled? My thinking exactly. I'd almost put money on Muraco and Blassie. You don't think the Survivor elites will make it out?

I wonder if the Ghostbusters Rock will have the logo on the back of his trunks. I need those trunks for true summer of 1999 Rock.

The Rock flashbacks are getting depressing. The same inaccurate logo on what are supposed to be 98-99. The Defining Moments trunks logo deserves to be used again, with color variation. Hell I'd like his other version of the RM logo. This 2001 logo in silver is be reused to death.

HBK wore a lot of the same tights from 97 when he came back. The head looks more like 02/03 to me, but I guess could pass for any era. Either way, great figures that I wish were Elites. hHh is well worth the wait, but I sure hope they have some other accessories in there to justify the price. Can anyone place the white knee brace Austin. I think I remember him wearing them around the Invasion angle, but I have zero confidence that that is correct. King of the Ring 2001 as the heel WWF champ.

Here's a fix-up of the E67 Jeff Hardy with a E33 Shield Seth Rollins torso. Looks sick! Thanks again to tarver89 for the torso crack🤙 Looks great! The torso was a perfect fit?

Can someone post a side by side pic of the Elite 27 Billy Gunn and HOF 3 Macho Man? Are the greens the same?

Random question but..... has Mattel ever used the same color green that they did for the Elite 10 Ted Jr? It was more of a lime than a Neon. I'm looking to make KOTR 99 Billy Gunn and that is the exact color I need. Now I just need thighs at least, I'm down to paint the lower shorts if I have to. The only fig I can think of is the actual Billy Gunn figure from E27 That is neon green. Very bright. The Ted Jr. figure is more of a lime.

TheBadGuyChico I think someone said there’s a way to pop the ball joint legs on ratchet hips. I’m not sure if it makes the legs loose though. That’s my biggest gripe with stone cold figures, his legs are anorexic. He should definetly have the Cody legs. So the thighs are different sizes? Not as simple as just popping things from the thigh down? I'm using the RSC SCSA, so I doubt it has ball jointed hips.

This Rock is so lazy it hurts. The Rock had so many trunk variations, and we get a rerelease that isn't even accurate.
FYI those trunks are from Mania X8 and should be a very bright gold. It was inaccurate in Legends 3 and it's inaccurate now. He did wear that shade of gold at one point obviously, but not the way the scheme is. Head is weird too. His hair is circa 2002 but he has sideburns? Wrong.
I'd love a 99 Rock in elite form. Pink and Silver from KOTR 99!
Just a lazy attempt. Please get back to event accurate attires.

Will Cody Rhodes upper legs, fit on Stone Cold thighs? Will there be a gap?
I want to beef up my Stone Cold, but I don't want to crack the torso.
