I do have a basic Luger and Elite Windham on my Legends shelves, but I want real Mattel versions. When E30 comes out I might buy an extra Lex and put him in black trunks.
I suppose a shortcut may be to buy a Lex robe from Ralph's to disguise the red, white and blue attire. Wouldn't have to boil and pop to do that.

Now we just need Barry Windham to complete the Horsemen.
Not to sound blasphemous, but is anyone tempted to do a custom Luger in lieu of not having a Windham in the pipeline?

Does anyone know what period the Jake tights are from? It's close to SNME from May '86, but not quite there. Those tights were fluorescent green with purple snake, not yellow with purple snake.

Wow, it pains me to say this because he's one of my all time favorites, but that Andre figure. The Mattel apologists can make all the "BUT IT'S SO GOOD REMOVABLE AFRO~" posts they want, that figure is terrible. He never had the afro with yellow trunks, never had yellow trunks with black boots, never had the afro with the singlet. Super lazy figure on the part of Mattel. I'll pick up Harper if I see him at Walmart.
Amen - Even if the singlet comes off and reveals blue, yellow or red trunks, he still has black boots. That was certainly not a common look for Andre. The afro is just plain terrible.

Is this the only thread discussing the alleged Sgt Slaughter prototype? Jason, do you have any additional info to pass along regarding your research and findings?
I'm also an Indiana Jones fan, and I know the original seller (Mary) has offered multiple sets of those prototypes. When the first set was offered, it was advertised as 'get it before it's gone' until another set appeared. I have serious doubts that this Slaughter prototype is real. If you're buying with the thought that it's a well-made custom, then that's a safe bet. Customs of this quality also have a value attached to them.
If the maker is looking to make a buck, it probably would have been better to advertise them as a custom and sell one every month or so at a lower price. If just anybody could make a custom as good as this, you would see many more of them. So again, the experience and art of creating this figure has its own value.
