I used Santinos lower body with Ric Flair knees and calves, and Target Bret Ultimate, with a jazzwares Owen head. A lil tall but I like the way it came out. I like the way that turned out too. Very sharp. As for the height, im sure you can find a pair of shins to get him a little bit shorter if you wanted to Yeah if I can be bothered I prolly would change it but I'm being real F'n lazy ATM with customizing 🤣🤣🤣

What really grinds my gears?
You can still buy a Muhammad Ali set off Mattel creations.
Like, they waited till Ali, to increase SDCC exclsuive production.
The next one better not sell out is all I'm gonna say, if it does then nobody wanted that set last year. PERIODT.

have they said the price of these yet? Can't possibly be more than the WMX Amazon exclusives which came with a lot more accessories at 54.99. Then again Mattel does not give the consumer the same discount they do retailers when we purchase directly from them.

Right, Steve was looking out for the moc collector for these to help get more sales from people who wouldn't have bought it for that purpose. So at the end of the day, if you wanted a ring you were taking the the figure out the package regardless for a non moc collector. I see this as squeezing more sales out of people. Which is fair for everyone involved really. In all honesty, I wanted the Bischoff much more than I wanted the ring.... Don't get me wrong, I'd never pay $140 for one figure, but I do feel like I got my money's worth here. But I can tell you that without the Bischoff figure I doubt I would have bought the ring. The figure packaging doesn't really matter to me, as I wanted the Bischoff loose for display. As I'd stated earlier, I just kind of wish the figure had not been packed in with the ring pieces as I wasn't planning to open the ring right away (but I really wanted the figure). The way the ring-box is sort of glued shut made me shred the end of the box to get the figure out. I do get it, but unfortunately the only way to get this bischoff is with this ring. So to please everyone, I think this was the way to go.

It does make sense when you look at it how Steve explained. It's either the little box, or no moc box at all. Steve said they typically do not package the figure itself inside a bundle. Yeah, Goldberg and Jinder didn’t come in elite boxes when they were bundled with the Raw and SD Main Event rings. Dusty didn’t come in HOF packaging with the WCW ring. Demon Finn didn’t have a NXT Takeover Cardback with the NXT ring. None of the basics bundled with the springy rings ever come on cards. Wouldn’t make sense for UE figs to come in a box with the ultimate rings. Right, Steve was looking out for the moc collector for these to help get more sales from people who wouldn't have bought it for that purpose. So at the end of the day, if you wanted a ring you were taking the the figure out the package regardless for a non moc collector. I see this as squeezing more sales out of people. Steve was Hogan 40 year figure releases an anomaly?
Can we expect other 40 year mark wrestlers to get similar treatment?
Hint hint wink wink HBK 40 year mark will be June 2028 😉😉😉

That's what I was afraid of. Makes no sense, but thanks Brother! It does make sense when you look at it how Steve explained. It's either the little box, or no moc box at all. Steve said they typically do not package the figure itself inside a bundle.

Kevin been doing work to lose weight. But he's still a lil bigger than Sami, however ultimate Sami looks to have a bigger torso than KO Yeah, the Sami is from behind (Best screencap I could grab on short notice) but if Kevin has weight on Sami at this point it isn't much. From the looks of those they do look about the same but ko definitely still has that "beer gut"

Aren't the locker codes on a sticker now with the new releases? Those figures come out 4/28 supposedly, that's pretty stupid for the promo to end 4/20 Well f lol Why are there stickers on the boxes? Separate promotion? Edit: so I just read the sticker, it does come with a locker code inside so it's a different promotion looks like. But does that mean there's 2 chances to get this Hogan? The figures itself and the receipt?

Can someone do me a favor? If you go to Target this week and buy a (WWE) figure I need a picture of the receipt so I can get the WWE 2K24 locker code for Ichiban Hogan figure character in the game. The timeframe ends 4/20 and it needs to be a qualifying figure purchase to work (there’s a list I can share with you if need be). Also if you’re wanting one for yourself I think you’ll have to do a separate purchase so that there are multiple receipts to use. I’m willing to pay like $5 maybe $10 if anyone would do this for me. Someone I saw on FB even said they bought a figure then returned it just so they could have a receipt to use 👀 Or if you’ve already bought something in the last week or so, any Target receipt with a qualifying figure purchase from 4/4-4/20 will work (of course as long as it’s not already been submitted as I assume they won’t allow the same one for multiple people). Aren't the locker codes on a sticker now with the new releases? Those figures come out 4/28 supposedly, that's pretty stupid for the promo to end 4/20

This is still dumb. They certainly found a spot for Muta in a hurry. Pretty sure the said they were giving them new tooling. So maybe that’s why it’s taking longer? Muta has new tooling as well I believe. Guess muta was easier to do first. But Steiners were signed before muta was. So there's that too.

I definitely want a suburban commando. If they can, they should try to make the packaging look like a space ship. Add taker for s and gs too.

No. Thankfully I grew up just past these figures. Cause if I got these for Christmas them sh*** getting yeeted back to the North Pole. It seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I’m grateful to have grown up with these. I was so bummed when this line ended and the Hasbro’s began. Even though I bought most of the Hasbro’s too, I always found the LJNs SO much more playable for a fig-fed. Of course, it’s all dependent on age/timing when you begin getting into it. BCAs were never my thing. And I do agree with what others have said about current figs having the best detail, articulation, etc. I totally quoted the wrong person lol 😬 "Nostalgia does play a huge part in collectors lives, and there's no doubt there's a market for these, I don't think the market is big enough though. Sometimes nostalgia gets in the way. Just like how No mercy is still heralded as the best wrestling game ever. Those are 100% nostalgia glasses, because that game has been surpassed countless times. Yes, I remember emailing RS way back in the day before Jakks' deluxe line was introduced, I asked them if there will ever be Jakks' figures that move better, and they said something along the lines of passing it to them etc. Then they came, and I was excited, for all about 2 years when I realized every damn Jakks' deluxe was the same exact size just like the RA line that I hated. Then here comes Mattel to save the day, and aesthetically Mattel has thee best looking and best functional wrestling figures past and present no one does it better in the price range. As much we all gripe about part choices that could be better, overall they are still the best hands down."

At the end of the day, KO was definitely phoned in.
I was excited for these, because I don't have any KO or Sami elites as I just want ultimates and keep elites reserved for legends.
That being said, if you don't have the tooling, or the budget for tooling is on the other figure (Cody) why go out so far and plan certain figures if you cannot provide a proper release? Clearly KO was not ready to be released. He either should have moved to the next series or both Sami and KO move up, and can have 2 repaints to accommodate the extra tooling fo Cody.
Elites can look better than Ultimates, but they shouldn't BE better than the ultimates.
