A Bobby Roode elite would work in my opinion. Swap out the legs if you're not sold on the height.

I am looking to do a custom Chris Candido... Anyone know any figures that are build but a little shorter than the others? I know Rey is 5' 6" and Candido is 5' 8" but I dont think a Rey body would do the trick. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's been awhile since my last update, but the workshop's been far from quiet! Joining the ranks of my IWA collection, a revamped Mighty Igor with new shoes, joined by his manager, Ivan Kalmikoff. Igor is still carrying that keilbasa, but he's added a cap, too. Also in the ranks, Big Tex McKenzie, big man from the Alamo! Tex stood a mighty 6' 9", and once even tagged in Dallas with the Big Cat, Ernie Ladd, who was of like height. And a real bruiser, the man of the hour, Dick the Bulldog Brower. Brower was a colossal heel in his day, known for fighting dirty, and being an absolute nutjob during interviews. And last, more of a guest spot for the IWA collection, the Giant Haystacks pays a visit from Great Britain, crushing the competition internationally (the Giant Haystacks tights by Ralph's Figure Clothing, fur wrap by me). Mean Gene Okerlund is a minor custom here, as I added a neck swivel to the WCW figure. This needs to be a pic fed:) Blown away, phenomenal..

No I haven't lost my mind. Are you bummed about the low height of your RAW Main Event Ring ropes? Do you have 2 pairs of Leg Sleeves of Doom laying around? The ring posts fit snugly in the larger opening of the leg sleeves of doom, and the height raises the ropes to an optimal level. Everything feels secure and looks right! Sneak Preview of my Lonely Virgil convention setup: What do you think? Looks fantastic actually...How did you go about changing the ropes and did you use your own elastic cord? I didn't want to chance cutting them off.

I used Legends Jim Duggan. This was back when you could get Hacksaw dirt cheap on clearance or at Family Dollar. Joe's torso is an interesting choice, but you probably have to paint it to match the Jakks head. If you don't mind Basic, the Hacksaw SummerSlam figure might be good and it's cheap. You can paint the trunks black but problem is getting tall black boots for a basic. I think the only basic with tall black boots is Entrance Greats Ted Dibiase. I'd post a pic of my custom, but I took it a part. I'm hoping for an official Gordy. I definitely appreciate the feedback, thank you much! The basic 70 Joe matches up okay with the Jakks head because I think the flesh tone is lighter than basic 74. The basic Duggan is just a little too "cut" and in shape to be Gordy I feel, after I did the head swap. The Joe torso looks good so far with him being chubbier, also because Joe wears his trunks higher like Gordy, covering the belly button. Not sure what to do with the legs. I broke off the peg inside the crotch area. I'm going to attempt a torso crack to put in Duggans lower half, though it may look bad. You are right on the money with Duggan and the Dibiase and again, thanks!

I've not been on this site for a while and I'm hoping this is the correct board...my apologies if not. I'm looking for help customizing a Bam Bam Gordy figure and I'm off to a rough start. So far, I have the idea to use a Samoa Joe, basic 70 upper body and will swap out the head with the Jakks Gordy. I have no clue what else to do. If any of you have helpful suggestions, I'll be grateful of any. I would like to note that I'm interested in his AJPW look with the black outfit with tall boots. Thank you all.

If I had time to play with my figures, I'd actually prefer basics all the way. The articulation seems a bit too much with elites, unless it's a guy like RVD, who I need to throw kicks with... Back to the topic at hand, I would choose Macho Man series 26, Ric Flair series 48, Sting series 62 (incredible paint combo), Exclusive Mankind (of course!), Warrior series 56, Steamboat series 45, Iron Sheik series 59, Mr. Perfect series 37, Bret Hart series 49, Sid series 53, and my favorites are Chris Jericho BAF and Entrance Greats (Need more long haired Jerichos in any form!!).

I've had that feeling for the last few months. I just got hit with a few hospital bills that most of my insurance covered, but they were for major surgeries, so I owe a lot of what didn't get covered. Long story short, the urge to buy or even "play" with figures has gone away completely.

Good stuff! I like the Rip figure too. I want to make a Jake Bullet custom from the movie No Holds Barred. Love that silly movie!

There was a match in Championship Wrestling Florida against Terry Funk that was referred to as a Barbed Wire Fence Match that I only ever read about in Pro Wrestling Illustrated. I don't think there is actual footage of the match, other than photos. Much like The Last Battle in Atlanta match between Buzz Sawyer and Tommy Rich, I can only imagine how brutal and grueling the match must have been. I believe the match was in 1978 and I remember being shocked by the photos. I'm going with that match based off of the PWI article and photos that leave it up to the imagination. So ahead of his time with the bloody and "extreme"/"hardcore" violence. media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/a5/a2/5e/a5a25e70a8c001ec90a5405c97296e60.jpg

That's a good question Felix... I could definitely see them making the bigger ECW stars or people who've passed through WWE mainly. Lance Storm and Taz would be excellent and realistic choices for me. There are so many guys that I would buy from the original ECW and I hope to see more being made. Again, Storm would not be my first choice, but I think he has more of a connection with WWE than most ECW alumni. Yeah me too! like someone said earlier hopefully terry funk is the start of ECW from Mattel. I think dudleyz has to happen really, they are as iconic in those purple/blue outfits as they are now and storm would be great! Spike Dudley would be cool too haha Excellent! I'll blow my top if they make a Mikey Whipwreck figure. He will be the ultimate jobber for league.

The less ECW the better imo cool, good for you Just curious tho, why would a group of people who want ECW figures care that you don't ? That's a good question Felix... To be honest I'm not worried personally, I've always been WWF/E fan more so than ECW and WCW so I say bring on more Ruthless Aggression and Attitude era guys. I wouldn't mind WWE branded ECW guys like Marcus Cor Von, Kevin Thorne and Elijah Burke. I want ECW originals and that's it when it comes to ECW anything. I've never favored a specific company, I just love good Wrasslin period!

Lucky guy! I went to all of those Targets,Walmarts, and TRUs last weekend and only found the Bulldog figure. I went up there originally to get the Ringmaster figure and it ended up turning into a full fledged hunt. I live on the OH/MI border, so it wasn't as long of a hike as yours. Glad you were able to score all of those. I must have just missed the shipment of Ringmasters by a day or two!

If you're going to sell the figure with the box, I guess take a photo of the figure standing next to the box and explain it in the description. I know that once a figure is opened, I could care less about the box. Box is nothing more than to protect the figure and it takes up space that I don't have in my opinion. You might find collectors who want the box, but I doubt it. If the figure is loose, I'd rather get one of those "Free Shipping" figures, assuming that most figures in the boxes end up having a shipping charge. I don't think that including the box with the loose/used figure will help you profit any extra cash, if that's a concern of yours. I would not want the box and it would not entice me to pay any more. Just an opinion from my experiences.

Yeah, people like what they like and I respect all opinions. I'm appreciative of how well the WWE is doing and that it allows old school fans to enjoy the product through the network and Flashback figures. It helps keep us around!

Yeah, I never understood why there are so many people on here want him. He's a character with a short run named after a TV show starring Tom Selleck. I'm passing. And those of us that do want him. It's probably an age and location thing. Where I grew up I usually only saw awa/nwa/wcw stuff.. I didn't get to see a lot of wwf until I was probably 10. Magnum had a bright future cut wayyyyyyyy too short. Yeah I grew up watching the old NWA era and it's what I've always preferred. I can't wait to get the Magnum figure. The newer product just doesn't do it for me. I've tried hard to get into it. So I think you are correct with the age/generation thing. I'll watch Magnum any day over the shaking cameras and current roster.

I'm not a fan of it. I will buy Anvil because he's new, but I have many Bret Hart and won't be buying this one, regardless of a new face scan.
