I did before they changed the articulation a few years ago, but only if I didn’t have an elite from the era depicted. Now that they have new articulation in the hips, I’m more willing to get some.

I’m 99% sure it’s a solid piece and you can just spin it around so the warped part is on his back and thus hidden by the jacket.

It’s based on the video game WWE 2k24 where half the wrestlers look normal and half the wrestlers look tiny, but will magically grow standing on the apron. John Cena and Ken Shamrock look almost as tall as Rey Mysterio in that game. It’s been an issue for a few games now.

Those Q&As are a massive waste of time. Why do they even field the questions that won't be answered? Why do you all continue to ask the same pointless questions that can't be answered? Etc etc You know what to expect, you're welcome to skip it, and as I've said multiple times this is something that I've tried to come up with a decent replacement for but the fact that it's been grandfathered in is a gift (I know what to expect at work) and a curse (it's almost impossible to come up with something fresh here, but I'm trying). As I've also said multiple times I think these happen too frequently and I have tried to make them more infrequent but it has not come to fruition and that is not something I can control. I like the Q&A. I never want to see it go away. I forgot to get my Q in on time this year, but I actually like that we can get you guys to prod Mattel for more information. If there’s any issue with Q&A it’s that there are still people who post nothing but questions like “Will we see this specific wrestler in the line?” knowing full well they won’t give an answer on a specific wrestler if there’s nothing to show visually. So people waste their opportunity instead of asking something more vague that can be answered like, “Will we see more ECW representation?” “Will we see the late WCW tag titles again?” But at the same time if I ask a long list of questions I have like “Are you allowed to make modern interviewers and commentators?” “Will Mattel ever make scale barricades?” “Can you introduce set pieces to the Wrekkin’ line?” that they can give definitive answers to, it’s unfair if 5 of my questions get asked and none of someone else’s questions get asked. But then too many people are determined to waste their chance to ask, “Can you make Raven?” They’ll make him if they can and you know that!

I’m disappointed that Punk’s first elite in 10 years will be in all black gear he borrowed because he lost his luggage or his gear wasn’t ready in time or whatever. There’s only like a 1 month difference between that MSG show and the Royal Rumble. And now he’s injured so we gotta wait even longer before we see him in ring gear again. It just feels like we’ll get an Ultimate in Royal Rumble gear and no elite. And I personally don’t like Ultimates that much, especially since they added those annoying drop down hips.
Edit: I’m being overly negative. I’d rather they make MSG Punk than nothing. And we’ll likely get Rumble Punk anyway because he sells like crazy and he’s out injured for a while.

Ok, that’s what threw me off. The lack of white outline of the stars and chest hair made me think it was an ECW Punk with the Straight Edge Society beard. But they just pulled a Jakks and left out detail on the gear.

Wyatt got them gnome legs. They’re as long as his torso. That’s why I didn’t get the burned Fiend figure. Them stumpy legs got me. I think maybe the first elite Fiends had a shorter torso so it wasn’t noticeable maybe?

I genuinely was going to slow down to a trickle because I don’t want to collect the NXT people and call-ups and the new elite hips are so stiff it’s annoying to pose. But then Mattel has been like “Here’s so much stuff you want.” 😩 They’re rereleasing everything I missed out on and all these new flashbacks and cool attires of modern guys. They’re pulling me back in!
But please stop with these weird new ratchety ball joint hips that are constantly fusing together like real life Matt Hardy.

Gotta love the Legends line. Goes on clearance in the US and gets scalped to hell for the rest of the world. Looks like I gotta try and get a Captain Lou for less than $100 somehow. Goes on clearance mere weeks after being released too. This is why I seethe when I see US YouTubers go on WWE figure hunts, find brand new product and hear them say "I'll wait for a sale". I have never seen a Target put WWE figures on clearance. In 3 different states, multiple cities in each state, and going on weekly toy runs I have never seen it. Even if something sits on the shelf for a year, it won’t go on clearance.

That long hair punk looks like a mish mash. That looks like his ECW or early Raw gear, but he’s got the full Straight Edge Society beard. I don’t remember him ever wearing that gear during the Straight Edge Society. Maybe I’m wrong.

Will a normal referee (i.e. not a special guest referee like Mr. T or Mankind) figure make it into the basic line? Some of us want multiple referees to recreate scenes like pull-apart brawls or Royal Rumble eliminations.

I was playing WWE 2k24 yesterday when I noticed that the logos on referee shirts vary depending on the show. And I went through the real life shows and confirmed it. Raw referees have a red border around the WWE logos on their shirts and Smackdown referees have a blue border. And NXT referees have an NXT logo instead of WWE.
So that means the upcoming John Cone figure is a Raw referee and Mattel still needs to make a Smackdown and a NXT referee figure. OR ELSE IT WON’T BE EVEN!!!!!!!

If anyone buys an elite figure from Target between 04/04 and 04/20, you can unlock Elite Ichiban Hogan in WWE 2k24. legends2kredemption.com/

Will there be figures of commentators and interviewers of the modern era like Byron Saxton or updated figures for people like Michael Cole and Corey Graves? Michael Cole’s one and only figure was 12 or 13 years ago.

Vincent! Curt Hennig! It’s taken 10 years, but they’re finally getting made. I swear Mattel hates the NWO.

Ooooooooohhhh yeah brotha I’m still bummed I missed out on Slim Jim Macho, if only for that jacket.
