Yeah so hot take here but, it's overrated. It's a fine movie but it's not the best ever made. Phoenix's laugh is too annoying and the movie was too confusing to follow.

Macho Man Randy Savage (c) vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart for the WWF ChampionshipThe time is upon us, the main event. The New Generation vs. The Old, who will come out the victor? Who will be WWF Champion? The Hitman makes his way out first to a massive pop which Ross comments on before the champ comes out to the same pop. The fans are split on who they want to win they love both men but only one can get the victory, before the bell rings Bret extends his hand to the champ who shakes it making Ross and the fans happy. The two lock up before Bret locks the champ in a headlock but Savage quickly escapes and puts Bret in a headlock of his own. The match soon turns into a stalemate with neither man being able to keep one down, Savage irishwipes Bret into the ropes only to get clobbered with a clothesline. Bret hits the second rope and delivers a elbow drop to the champ's head before going for Savage's leg. Savage kicks him off and the two go back at it again, then things turn towards Savage when he reverses a bulldog from Hart. Bret lands alone and walks into a double axe handle from the champ before he is picked up by Savage before he slams him down then signaling for the elbow drop. He climbs up and flies down towards the mat but Bret moves out of the way! Savage hits the mat and ends up in a sharpshooter, the crowd is going nuts as the champ tries to desperately get to the rope but he just can't reach and after a couple of seconds TAPS! Winner and NEW WWF Champion: Bret "The Hitman" HartJim Ross and the crowd go nuts as Bret is handed the WWF Championship and holds it up high for the fans in Caesar's Palace, the former champ is in disbelief and looks up at the victorious Hart and then towards the crowd. He goes up to The Hitman and the two stare as time halts to a stop, the crowd is dead silent as they await what happens next. Savage then extends his out to the new champ who shakes before having his arm held up by the former champ as Mania IX ends with Hart holding up the belt in one arm while the other being held by the Macho Man Randy Savage.

WWF Monday Night RAWMarch 1, 1993Manhattan Center in New York, New York Hosts: Vince McMahon and Bobby HeenanVince and Bobby start hyping up Wrestlemania IX and we get a recap of last weeks main event before we get on with the show. Macho Man Randy Savage promo on Giant Gonzales:
Savage: Last week The Undertaker went one on one with the Macho Man and nearly lost when suddenly Giant Gonzales attacked him giving him the win! Well tonight Bret "the Hitman" Hart is gonna take on Giant Gonzales and you bet the Macho Man will be at ringside! Ooooh Yeeah! Bret Hart (w/ Macho Man Randy Savage) vs. Giant Gonzales (w/ Harvey Wippleman)
Hart makes his way out with Savage first before Gonzales makes his way out and we begin the match. Gonzales overpowers the Hitman, it seems Bret is doomed to eat a pinfall tonight but people don't call him the Best There Is for nothing. Bret uses his speed to advantage and gets out of reach before going to work. He hits Gonzales with a clothesline from the top rope, it dazes the Giant and allows Bret to get some hits in. But eventually Gonzales comes back and gets his hands on Bret's neck and starts choking him! Savage's had enough and jumps to the top rope and hits Gonzales with a double ax handle which the ref sees and decides to DISQUALIFY BOTH MEN! Bret Hart vs. Giant Gonzales ends in a double DQ
Gonzales lets one hand off Bret and wraps it around Savage when the lights go out signaling The Undertaker! When the lights go on GONZALES IS GONE! Everyone is confused while Wippleman is going insane! The show ends with Savage and Bret trying to figure out what happened.

We wouldve got this years earlier if Shawn made the jump.... That still makes me think sometimes that Shawn has never changed. His overselling is ridiculous.

You say you're the best there is, best there was, and the best there ever was? Oooh no, Bret you're a great wrestler but you'll never top the Macho Man! The only way you get to be the best is if ya have this!
