Here's my Pros and Cons about the Hit List trailer.
Pros:
Arenas:
If the In-Game asset shot in the background of the MyGM part is anything to go by, the Arch way Smackdown set from late 2019 will be one of the selectable arenas which delights me as that's the set I wanted the most. I also like having the Late 2019 PPV/Thunderdome-esque set option for RAW, and of course it's cool to see the latest Universal set too. Hopefully all of those parts are also available in Create An Arena.
Visuals:
The game looks fantastic! Not sure if it's the PS4 or PS5 port (2K have replied to people asking about if it's Next Gen or not on Instagram, they confirmed it but it's deleted now. Seems like pretty decent confirmation IMO, they probably want a proper announcement thus the delete) but it looks incredible.
Rey Mysterio Showcase:
It seems he's the Showcase Star which is great. Rey Rey has had so many opponent in different companies/eras over the years so there's a lot of possibilities here for Retro In-Game content. I'm guessing the "May 19th" 2006 Smackdown match against Kane will be included seeing how we know Kane's tights/boots from that time frame are going to be in the game since they mistakenly put them on current Kane in the older trailer (can't be Armageddon '05 because Big Show won't be in).
Cons:
Controls:
These controls shown are absolutely terrible! One of the biggest things 2K/VC got hit over the head with during feedback of 2K20 was how badly the 2K19 controls were missed; They were perfect and did not need to be touched. These controls are arguably worse than 2K20's, and also seems to hint that they nerfed the general mechanics of what we can do. It seems there is only 1 set of grapples now OR we now have to do some tired cliche wrestling video game "lock up" animation every time we want to hit a grapple with perhaps different move categories available depending on the direction pressed (this would take away the unique lunge animations for grapples if that's the direction they go sadly). There is also a Duck option which is silly because ducking animations can simply be programed as a straight up reversal animation like every other game, there doesn't need to be a distinction for that. Dodge is here as well but we didn't really see anything for that so I'll reserve judgment on that feature.
Lack of Reversal Stocks:
It seems the limited Reversal system is gone which is a HUGE bummer. Matches will become reversal fests, bringing old problems back to the series. No more tactical play, just spam offense and constantly mash the reversal button when you aren't in control.
Lack of Stamina (or at least downplaying it):
Another huge problem. Pacing will constantly be fast (ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK). Also hints that the Submission system could be changed as Stamina played a part in the boost feature (another huge mistake would be ruining that as it's currently the best it's ever been since you can have some nice back and forth in the minigame and much like the Pin System even have a chance of escaping with high damage).
Default Camera Angle and Visual Effects:
The default camera angle looks very reminiscent of Fight Night.... this is something that didn't need to be changed it was perfect as is. It seems like they are implying there's more cinematic angles during moves which I think is pretty cool and hopefully true. The visual effects suck. I never want to see red flashes or violent shakes when people do moves; that completely takes away from the presentation.
All in all, it's really too early to know if I'll be getting this or not but I seen a lot of things that are deal breakers for me unless they can be changed or I'm simply looking too far into things and they aren't what they seem. I really want this game to be great like 2K19 was but damn.... not sure if that's going to happen if they undo like every positive gameplay mechanic they've introduced since 2K16.

It shouldn’t matter one bit for MOC collectors, like myself. It’s not visible. I just ordered one the other day, and the issue means nothing to me. question: why not just print a picture of the figure and put it on your wall? Also note that they are fixing the painting issues on the masks as well, that is totally visible MOC or not.

That's awesome that Mattel is doing a Make Good for the errors on the UE Kane! Didn't think they would do it, but they did I will pick one up for sure now as long as I know I'm getting the corrected version. Not sure if I can get the replacements parts if I'm in Canada so I'd prefer the revised version

Omg that sounds incredible That was always my favourite attire, I can just imagine how incredible that would look. Could come with the wwf and wcw tag titles or come with the ic, arm cast and chain, otherwise something with the hardcore title but the hardcore has been done before. They can do different masks for the different heads as well which would be cool. Survivor Series 2000, King of the Ring 2001, the mask he debuted sometime in Summer 2001 that X-Pac stole in '02 etc. The more I think of it, the more it always could've made sense for them to choose that era for an UE.

I just seen the Ringside video showcase of the Kane and Taker and here's my thoughts.
Taker looks pretty good. Some scans look like Late 2000's Taker, but at least 1 is really good for 98 Taker. I think he looks a tad bulky but it's still pretty good. The detail on his entrance gear looks fantastic, as well as the molded details on his top and tights.
Kane looks incredible for the most part, and this is probably the best Masked Kane figure they have done so far. My biggest gripe with Mattel all these years is that the Kane figures based on 97-02 all look WAY too slim and skinny for Kane, but they FINNALLY nailed his body type, he has that thick muscular look his figures always should've had. Both scans are really well done and I'm impressed with the scan with the hair behind his ears as it's never really been done before. He should be as tall as Taker or taller, the elbow should be red on the inside when his arm is bent, and the boots should be glossy but other than that (and the fact it seems some have poor chipped up paint on the mask for whatever reason) I'm pretty impressed and happy with it.
I haven't bought a Mattel figure in forever, but I think I'm throwing some cash down for that Kane. A part of me hopes that maybe they'll do a running change and I'll luck out and get that version with some/all of those issues fixed but I'm doubtful of that. Now only if they could make Kane look big like this in Elite form and give us A PROPER 2001 singlet Kane; that's pretty much my dream fig seeing how I don't think they would make an Ultimate of that Era.

I feel like the later than usual release date could easily result in more removed characters for sure but this is such a strange situation we haven't ever seen during the release cycle of the game. There's so many questions but we'll have to wait and see.
And maybe if Samoa Joe was originally going to be removed, maybe his chances of being put back in are higher which is a small victory. He was going to be one of the guys I was going to miss the most since he was axed in the first cuts back in April.

Becky acted like a babyface after the match and there was no sort of mention that she "turned heel". They'll play it off like Bianca fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book; and that Becky did whatever it took to win like a Face Ric Flair or Eddie Guerrero. I almost feel like Bianca will somehow turn Heel but she's not going to have the same support Becky had in 2018 to turn her back into a Face. People will be mildly upset but they'll keep pushing it until she's too far gone in the Heel role, all of the sudden teaming with Sasha, and keeping Becky away from Sasha until the Rumble or Mania probably. That's how I feel, no disrespect to Bianca but she isn't big enough for the fans to side with over Becky and not only that, the whole EST gimmick screams heel. I just hope that the dirt sheets are wrong about her heel turn. Yeah Bianca is awesome and I feel they really made her look like a chump at Summerslam but she's not going to get the booking changed like Becky did. The fans had no problem picking Becky over Charlotte but when Bianca is presented as a Heel against Becky, they'll ultimately stick to that because Becky ain't getting booed like Charlotte. (This is all if Becky is staying Face with Bianca turning Heel which IMO I think that's where it will go)

It will be pretty interesting to see the time frame this game will capture, and if and how many released talent will be in.
Even if we still get an Early 2021 time capsule as if the game was released in Oct 2021, I'll still be happy as long as the stability, mechanics, gameplay and controls are great like 2K19 was, and we see new features, Superstars, arenas, moves, modes (and updates to existing modes), Showcases and all. I hope for as much of the released talent as possible and only time will tell who we'll get.
Oh and that late 2019 - early 2020 Smackdown set. That thing was glorious (Even if it has to be made in Create an Arena).
So I guess the hype will sit on the backburner until January.
(Also, considering Kane has a mismatched attire that combines his 2003 and 2013 looks together ('03 Tights, Glove and Kickpads which were never in this Gen, '13 Mask, Top, Elbow Pads), it seems as if we'll get a 2003-2010 Unmasked Kane in the game, maybe via Showcase and the model shown in the trailer is perhaps a placeholder. There also appears to be a Retro Miz victory animation which could be related to a Showcase)

Unless Vince called 2K up to remove anyone released after the cut off point that the rosters set, I'm sure we'll get Bronson Reed in the game. This year's game is either gonna be way smaller than last year's, or very outdated. So far the only one we know was asked to be removed was Daniel Bryan. I'm gonna hold on to waiting til the rosters revealed. It's really all speculation as to who's on the roster It's strange how people are acting like if someone is released in like July/August that they are going to be cut from the Video Game. There's been numerous years that has happened and it's too late for them to be cut. I think the first batch of releases this year might not make it in but mostly everyone after that who was relevant probably has a good chance. Bryan is the only one I worry about seeing how there was rumors about WWE specifically wanting Bryan out (even know as long as there's no legal problems they would be foolish to demand his removal. Having one of the top guys you ever had in the company and someone who will obviously be a top guy in AEW should be someone you want to have in the game one more time while the opportunity is there.... people want to play as him with his actual likeness because he's popular and they need to do every little thing that could get the game some sales after 2K20)

It'll be interesting to see how many people they add since like 40 people from WWE 2K20 won't return. Probably like 50 now 🤐 That sucks so bad. I really hope we can at least get Bryan and Angle as they didn't sign anywhere else. It would be cool too if Braun was in MyCareer or something so he or someone else in a similar situation could still make it in.

One of the monitors have this exact Top Moves video of Bronson Reed displayed in the background. He's about to perform his Sit-out Axe Guillotine Driver so it appears that has been Mo-Caped for this year:
Since last week's video wasn't posted, here it is plus more from Patrick Gilmore:

Create-A-Story and GM mode would be two HUGE steps towards a better game. That being said I’m not expecting much from this game. So far the fact that the trailer star is Rey Mysterio and their selling point is that they’re going to be more transparent hasn’t sold me at all. They can be transparent all they want, if the game still sucks it doesn’t really matter does it? Also I’m trying to get around the fact that between 2k19 (the last WWE game I played) and WWE 2k22 we’re going to lose Jericho, Ambrose, Sting, Angle, Joe, Big Show, Christian, etc... and I dont feel like we’re getting many new stars back in return. Also if we somehow don’t get Wargames as a match option 4 years after it debuted thats a joke. I'd love it if Create A Story came back. I always wanted it back ever since they jumped to Next Gen. You could play a new story every time you played the game if you wanted to. So much replayability there. I loved creating some for my friends. I wouldn't say the selling point is being more transparent but that's the way they are taking the pre-release promotion of the game. They are going to show things earlier and more frequently than they usually do because they need to get some hype going after the bad taste 2K20 left in people's mouths. Once they actually start I'm sure we will see what the actual selling points are but so far all we seen is a teaser video that announced the game so we don't know what it is yet. I feel you on the roster omissions. Hopefully they pull through with some nice Legends and Retro versions to make up for it the best they can. If there's one thing I don't like about AEW, that's it! (WWE losing talent to them and thus not being able to use their likeness for the Video Games, I'm still so salty about not having E&C, Hardyz, and Dudleyz in the same game since like 2002) I wouldn't bet money on WarGames being in. It sounds like it would be very difficult to program that in without heavy frame rate issues and such. That's why it hasn't been in even after 4 years.

Create-a-Story needs to come back. Used to make some wild stuff. Festus and his army of Goldust clones taking over the WWE. Then the world. Then the galaxy. Wild, wild stuff. For game modes that’s my top want. The mode promotes replayability because you could download new stories all the time. I can’t believe people ask for GM Mode instead of that.

They changed the title of the Gameplay Teaser on the Playstation YouTube channel, it now only reads "PS4".

The WWE 2K Dev Twitter and YouTube accounts (that were used quite heavily during the promotion of WWE 2K16) already have brand new Profile Pictures and Banners matching the aesthetic of 2K22 which is a good sign and could further point to the reports of them showing us a lot of content. The official Playstation YouTube channel uploaded the Teaser but the interesting part is they labeled the video "WWE 2K22 - Teaser Trailer | PS5, PS4" so unless it's a mistake, we might be seeing 2K22 on Next-Gen. Hopefully if that's true, they make the game more of an amped up/remastered version of the PS4 release with better framerate and maybe more creation slots etc. so we don't get a repeat of 2K15 (a game that was rushed and felt more like a demo due to how bare bones it was).

Wrestlemania 37 is one event, broken up into two nights and the very last match was Reigns/Bryan/Edge so that's THE Main Event. This. Not sure how much simpler it can be broken down. People say this Mania (37) is the first one to not feature Triple H or Taker in a match in years but if both nights are completely different shows then that wouldn't be true as they weren't apart of Night 2 for WM 26 for example.
