mid90s was really good but missed out on being great..
Definitely worth the watch, especially if you enjoy hip hop, skateboarding, and slice of life type films.

Is there a better place to look at all the pictures from this weekends SDCC?
The pictures on the front page are super small.. Bad format for a desktop computer.

Is it just me or does it seem that WFIGS is dying?
Over the past few weeks every time I sign on and check the threads no one has replied in hours, sometimes even days.. Some weeks..
I don't remember ever seeing it like this?

I get that hunting is needed to control populations, or even just for other reasons. But I don't see why you would need to own a gun for that. People who play paintball don't generally own paintball guns, they rent them for the day on location. Maybe if local authorities need help hunting certain animals then they could lend you a gun for the day, with proper checks of course (i.e. if you're currently legally allowed to own a gun you pass that check immediately.) Same thing goes if you just want to fire guns on a range. I heard something on TV yesterday from a guy who says that the main reason why the population have so many guns is to fight back against the army/police force if the country ever becomes a police state or those organisations go rogue. Yeah, 'cos that'll work...A bunch of rednecks up against a heavily fortified, well trained outfit. This is not North Korea where everyone is under the thumb. You're safe from your country ever becoming like that. I can understand wanting to defend yourself against an armed assailant but the truth is, if he sees you pull out a gun in response, he's gonna open fire. However if you just remain calm and allow him to rob your store or whatever then no lives are lost and the police will track him down in due course. It's not worth risking your life for whatever's in the cash register. The amendment is written for security of the free state, not hunting. This should be the end of the discussion. Our freedom to own firearms has ZERO to do with hobbies.. ZERO to do with hunting. It is about giving citizens a fighting chance against an out of control government. If you don't think the US government wants complete control of its citizens, you're extremely naive. We are stock.

Battlefront is the only thing that made me consider buying a XBOXONE or PS4.
Those games look awesome.

The problem with Justice League is, a lot of fans were very put off by BvS. So I think that could potentially hurt them. To many fans, justified or not, the DCEU has become a punchline. I mean I expect them to do well, but not as good as Wonder Woman did. But I might be talking out my ass, so who knows. Eh, I expect them to still clean up. People will see it out of sheer curiosity - even if it's just to see what a cluster it is. It probably at least matches Wonder Woman. Plus alot of people don't give a sh*t, ya know. I mean I'm being totally frank here about it, marks and super fans and even casual fans are usually a little more serious and in depth than the 17 or 18 year old kid that loves superheros and wants to simply watch sh*t get destroyed by Batman and Superman. There is a large demographic that will rake in the cash for Justice League in spite of DC's issues. But it won't do money like Infinity War.

Word of the night for me is underwhelmed..
Those 2 big main event matches were not fun to watch.. I wasn't entertained by Cena/Reigns and I hated how super simple and by the book Brock/Braun was.
Just not a fan of what happened.. It really doesn't make any sense.

His position is strange.. The dude made a real low budget independent romantic drama, that was pretty good.. His next two projects are Jurassic World and Star Wars?? How in the world does that make sense to the people that hired him? I don't think he's mediocre yet because he's barely been around long enough to do ANY growing or establish his craft at all.. He hasn't earned the mediocre label. I honestly assumed he landed the Star Wars gig because he took direction well from the studio when doing Jurassic World.. But all the reports claim he had a gigantic ego and clashed with Kathleen Kennedy. I think he has potential to be a good director.. But he hasn't earned the position he's in and I'm real glad he got knocked down a peg. Ya know it's hard to make a bad Jurassic Park movie, especially with the material he had with a open park.. But he did his best.. Dude is a TERRIBLE writer. Jurassic World made 1.6 billion. That's why he was hired. Now that he's been on the project for a couple years and apparently can't turn in a draft of Episode IX they find acceptable, and his apparent ego issues to boot he was done. Safety Not Guaranteed was alright at best. Average little indie film. Cool. I personally hated Jurassic World, but even looking at it objectively, there was nothing noteworthy about the direction at all, from the most basics of fundamental filmmaking or stuff like interesting shot composition. Book of Henry that came out this year was awful. Awful conceptually, awfully directed, awful film. Which was also probably a final nail in his coffin. After getting hired for Star Wars, he probably shouldn't have gone and made another film until after he did Star Wars, because any red flags from such a project, and you're in a bad position. Abrams, say what you will about Force Awakens as a whole, on a technical level, is an excellent director. The visuals, the filming, the style of Force Awakens are all excellent, even if you feel the film itself is not. His insistence on doing as much in camera shooting as possible is one of the reasons this series will always continue looking so Damn nice, and the dude just knows how to shoot a movie. Plus he had no issues with Kennedy or Lucasfilm, so Abrams brings a trademark, distinct style to the production without angering the powers that be. He can play in their Toybox. JJ Abrams has also had decades to grow and hone his craft.. Trevorrow hasn't been around longer than a cup of coffee, dude HAS potential.. But he was never in a position for the jobs he had. And I'm sure his first draft was fine, I'd say Carrie Fisher dying made things difficult to the point of needing someone with experience to come in and handle a real tough situation.. Colin was not equipped to handle that rewrite. I know the money Jurassic World made the hiring easy, but Jurassic World IS so basic to where I honestly don't believe that was a film WITHOUT committee.. There were a ton of chefs in that kitchen.

It's not my opinion tho, bro.. It's the opinion of every single person that has ever been apart of hip/hop, including the artists.. But I am curious who you think was better than them at the time? This is once again personal opinion, but I'd much rather listen to stuff from A Tribe Called Quest or Wu Tang. Both of those are legendary artists.. Compared on the levels of Biggie and Pac. Legends are legends for a reason.. Biggie's Ready to Die album is the most classic New York hip hop album in history. Pac, I agree with you to some extent.. I'm no a gigantic Pac fan.. BUT, I respect Pac's ability.. Dude was incredible at what he did.

Dolph did this to himself.. I have zero sympathy for Dolph and really look forward to the day he's no longer with the company.. Dude needs to go find himself.. Take the Cody Rhodes route.

Clearly you're someone that doesn't have much knowledge in hip/hop.. "Someone doesn't agree with my opinion so they must not have much knowledge on the subject!" Stop whining because I don't like two overhyped rappers. There were far better rappers and lyricists at the time. Just because they got gunned down when they were at their peak doesn't mean they're all of a sudden amazing. They'd have fallen off just like most others. It's not my opinion tho, bro.. It's the opinion of every single person that has ever been apart of hip/hop, including the artists.. But I am curious who you think was better than them at the time?

Biggie and Pac aren't really all that good or special, so probably anyone that had a bit of money or sway in the industry. Clearly you're someone that doesn't have much knowledge in hip/hop..

Tupac would have sold out big time.. He would be on the same level as Dre and Diddy and he would have collaborated with every artist that asked.

Maybe if Ronda Rousey hadn't just had the absolute piss beat out of her in 2 consecutive fights, people might care about this match up..
But Ronda's career is pretty much over at this point.

I think people that sh*t on The Rock for going into acting and want to sh*t on Cena for moving towards acting legit don't take into consideration the insane amount of punishment wrestling puts on your body.. Especially with Cena, who has been an absolute workhorse since stepping in the WWE.
The punishment is real deal.
