I bet Omar will be crazy for K-Rod and Sabathia. Let me rephrase that. Phillies fans say Jose Reyes has an ego after hitting a huge home run and Phils announcers say he should stick his finger down his throat. Yet, when Victorino just bets Reyes to the bag and literally claps in Reyes face it's just being exciting. Did I get that one right? But I do admit, Phils were the better team this year. I dont. Phillies didnt have to deal with the injuries the Mets did. I would agree last year the Phills were the better team. But this year.....the Mets gave the division to the Phills. Phillies look awful. See, I know the Phillies will win the NLDS, but if they go against the Dodgers... I see them get slaughtered. I seriously do. Manny outclasses Howard. I dont. Phillies didnt have to deal with the injuries the Mets did. I would agree last year the Phills were the better team. But this year.....the Mets gave the division to the Phills. Phillies look awful. Yeah this is so weak. Regardless of "injuries" to scrubs like Ryan Church and BIG PELF, you still had ARGUABLY the best 4 hitters in all of baseball (Wright, Delgado, Beltran, Reyes) No one had a better foursome than you guys, NOT TO MENTION you had the best pitcher on the PLANET. The Phillies were better where and when it mattered, Phillies had NO starting pitching all year sans Hole Camels, I mean Brett Myers was AWFULLLLLLLLL. Mets lost because their team was put together POORLY by Omar Minaya Wright sucks at being on the clutch, I mean, seriously. He does. Santana is good, but, the failpen ruined it. Seriously, Schoeneweis sucks, his pitching does not show his "good" statistics, Ayala is a god awful closer, Feliciano is mediocre, there's a lot more I have to say, but, Minaya has to start a new bullpen, fresh, remove the bad pitchers, keep the good, such as Smith, Parnell, Knight. Go on the hunt for a closer, which I will bet they'll go for K-Rod. 2 new pitchers if Martinez and Perez goes (go for Sabathia and Burnett, if he opts out, you get a damned playoff like rotation). As for offensively, if Manny goes free agent, pick him up.

As a Met fan, I am disappointed, but all fault must be to the bullpen.
But yet, more trolls have to say "olo mets sux they choke colaps of 2008 ololol", makes me more mad. Yes, I said troll, deal with it.

Yogi's at Shea.
Edgardo Alfonzo and John Franco are in there. Robin Ventura and Jesse Orosco were interviewed on SNY.

I'd pick the Phillies over both the Dodgers and Brewers right now, maybe the Brewers would give them a hard time but thats it. QFT. The Dodgers dont have a bonafide ace and the Brewers would have the crappiest bullpen out of the 8 playoff teams. Phillies will be in the NLCS. The Mets have the failpen too.

Mets will lose it in the 9th, get your little pack of tissues ready. Luis Ayala struck out all three batters. That, was unexpected.

I just hope the Yankees understand that they cannot trust these September call up pitchers like they did with Kennedy. Them not getting Johan Santana was one of the many reasons they did not make the playoffs. Alfredo Aceves could do as good a job as CC Sabathia and for 1/500th the salary. I'm sure the Mets need him (Sabathia) and K-Rod more for everything next year.

It was a good run. No team can say they have done what we have done. Hopefully, The Red Sox get eliminated in the playoffs and the Cubs win it all. Would love to see it. Cubs? Winning the WS? I'd rather see the Angels win.

Yanks are officially done. Sox won. Phillies suffer a tough loss tonight. Hamels didn't bring his stuff, and if he didn't have that error, the game could have gone the other way. And the Mets win.

Thankfully, The Red Sox will win tonight and stop giving my fellow Yankees fans false hope. And you're right!

Smartest. Post. Ever. At least Shea has cheaper seats than Yankee Stadium, hurr. And the memories, the Piazza homer, the 1986 Series, and the crazy 1969 series too.

I think the Mets are going to fall out of the playoffs this week again. The Marlins are slumping again, Cubs, meh, but seriously. SERIOUSLY. No doubt, they will go to the playoffs, THE PLAYOFFS. So, with Yankee out of the system. Let's talk about Shea.
