The Supreme Court has allowed California to resume SSM. Can't say I'm too happy about this decision. But great for all you those who support equality. I have to ask, do you live in California? If not...I dont really see how it concerns you. I live in Tennessee, while I dont "hate" gay people, I believe that marriage is defined between a man & woman...That's my beliefs and Im entitled to them...however SSM in California has absolutely no effect on me. Until/if the gov't legalizes it for all 50 states, I wont have to worry about it cause Im 90% confident that the State of Tenn will never pass it. So...you essentially agree with him.

I'm a big supporter of marriage equality but everyone is giving the OP way too much crap. That's basically the most polite and gracious acknowledgement of today's ruling that I've seen from "the other side". Here's hoping he comes all the way over to the winning side of this issue. All I did was ask what was wrong with equality. Plus denying someone a right that you benefit from with no reasonable justification isn't exactly polite or gracious in my eyes.

What's wrong with equality exactly?

Congrats to an organization that I can only envy...that includes both Chicago and Boston.

Every time I walk by the FYE in the mall it baffles me that it's still open. To be honest it's usually just the CD's that are overpriced, I've bought quite a few DVD's from there that were reasonably priced.

Hands down was seeing my favorite band, AC/DC. My ears rang nearly three days afterwards.
To those of you who saw KISS - I hate you.

Going to war with Syria certainly won't help either, Mr. President.

Well keep the guard on and he wouldn't of done it. Or just don't run your mouth and expect not to get punched. First thing I thought when I read it.

So, I mentioned the JFK magic bullet thing and how bogus I thought it was to someone. They pointed me to a documentary on Discovery channel or something where they actually recreated the shot. Apparently they set up ballistics dummies in the positions of all the victims and an expert sniper in the book depository with the same kind of gun and same kind of ammo. They got a bullet that made virtually identical wounds in all the parties involved and came out virtually intact. Apparently the only difference was the bullet hit two ribs instead of one and otherwise the wounds were identical. Interesting to say the least. It's not even the magic bullet that I really contest, it's the fact that it was pulled off by an expert sniper in the documentary you mention. Oswald was ranked a marksman, the lowest marine sniper ranking. Any idea how quickly the expert did it? Because I think the story was that Oswald got the three shots off in around 6 seconds which is why I'm not really buying it given his sniper ranking and how far he had to shoot from (at a moving target no less) and how fast he was able to reload the rifle. It also doesn't help that Kennedy's head went back when a bullet of that size was supposedly shot from behind.

One of the problems with a lot of conspiracy theorists is that they rely on the same false dichotomy or argument from ignorance that creationists use. Creationists collectively seem to think that if Evolutionary theory were to be proven wrong that that makes their claims right by default. As Hulk said earlier, one must provide evidence for their claims.
It can also go the other way too, in that if you don't buy what the "official story" says then that automatically makes you a conspiracy theorist. That's the position I'm in when it comes to the JFK murder. I don't buy that official story, but of course that doesn't mean I'm going to flat out leap to the conclusion of a government coverup.
As far as 9/11, the only thing that really sticks in my mind is Building 7.

Wow, major props to Rask and the Boston defense. Boston got all the bounces, made the smart plays, and basically pulled all the tricks out of their sleeves. The only silver lining of this is that Bylsma is gone (for lack of adapting) and most likely Letang and Fleury will be traded out for their laziness and emotionally unstable mentalities. I can't believe how lazy Letang was in that series, I always thought he was one of their better D-men. The Bruins were the first challenge (defensively at least) for the Pens in this post season, so it looks like they were just taken completely off guard initially. Obviously Rask played a big role in only allowing 2 goals from the highest scoring offense and one of the most lethal power-plays.

Definitely no lack of effort on Pittsburgh's part, they just didn't seem to have an answer for Rask.

While I'll never respect the team, I certainly will not underestimate them regardless if they're down 2-0. Maybe Flower will start next game?

I do feel like that was a wake up call for the Pens and that they'll definitely re-group for the next game.
