Mattel doesn't have access to alot of WCW's main eventers, mid carders, cruiserweights and tag teams. The MNW line was always going to be a bunch of repaints thrown into new fancy packaging. They have a lot of former WCW Nitro talent that we presume to be under contract. Hogan, Hall, Nash, Syxx, Bischoff, DiBiase, Hennig, Rude, Ray Traylor, Luger, Eddie, Rey, DDP, Stevie Ray, Booker, Steiners, Bret, Anvil, Bulldog, Dusty, Funk, Sid, Piper, Bam Bam, Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Warrior, Keibler, Torrie, Ms Madness, Liz, and probably more. That’s at least 16 series worth of talent without repeats if they choose. The problem is all those names have been released in the past and aren't new names. I would like a WCW Scott Steiner though.

Then why even bother with this line if they don’t have access to the talent they need to have to make it great? … but it’s an awesome idea, on paper I'm not sure why, I guess using the branding from that time period might make them money since it's the most popular era.

Depends on how much time Mattel get to make his figures since Punks a ticking time bomb.

They said these figures are based on specific episodes of Raw and Nitro so if they mess stuff up I’m gonna grill them for it. No mashups allowed, Billiam. Series 1 of the elites are all very easy to place except Undertaker, what show is he supposed to be from? The dates are on the back of the package. For Taker, it's the Raw of 9/28/1998: It looks like it was from the segment that Vince made Taker and Kane wrestle each other at the Judgement Day 98 PPV and Taker breaks Vince's leg: If that Undertaker is indeed from 9/28/1998 then Mattel have messed up Undertakers tights. On the elite he has the tights from late 1997 to mid 1998 and on that Raw segment when Undertaker broke McMahon's ankle he has the 1st version of the T symbol tights. Mattel has released those tights in the network spotlight line Undertaker, so that error shouldn't have been made unless the date on the box is wrong.

What's the name of this billy bookcase? Oxberg? Yeah, the ones I have are the Billy Oxberg. Thanks for clarifying that for me. 👍

The problem with the MNW elites, Ultimates is basically your only going to get the same old faces Mattel have access too. It would be nice to get new faces but what are the chances?

MNW Undertaker looks great but I can't say the same about the packaging window covering half of the figure. There's nothing that I really need from what's been shown since everything is the same superstars in different looks or re-releases.
I will only pickup the following.
MNW Undertaker Ultimate Piper Elite 107 Undertaker maybe

Nothing great and the same old legends.

For me, Jakks CS line which had plenty of superstars that Mattel probably won't make and the packaging is the best I've seen in any wrestling line.

This ringside fest is underwhelming this year. What Mattel has shown is nothing to be excited about and the worst parts it's the same old stars getting figures with no new legends shown. 😔

Same old legends shown with no new FTITL stars. I will most likey get that RSC Outsiders 2 pack and the SummerSlam X-PAC. Disappointed with that SummerSlam Undertaker since it's bad, also no new Steiners, and again no new Chyna's. 😔

Biker shorts Scott Steiner or any other look from 1997-2000. I recently bought Rick Steiner and I'm happy with that look but Mattel made him too ripped and obviously isn't thick enough. 😔

Easily the Rock. Brock's not even near him in terms of mainstream and obviously charisma in the ring.

I don't get the point of swappable hair pieces when you could have different headscans with different hair styles.

MOD Undertaker would be great but I highly doubt Mattel have enough time to create new molds that would be required for MOD Undertaker. The Ultimate 11 LOD Undertaker looks likely to be rereleased since all existing tooling is available.
