Got tickets in 111R. I'm more excited to go to RAW/NXT/SD so I just kinda took the best I could get without thinking about it too much. Turns out I'm probably directly behind a ing palm tree. The tickets don't have any sort of obstructed view tag though, so I might try flipping them or complaining at the show and trying to get switched. One of the guys I met at an NXT show said he was able to do that last year and got a pretty good upgrade.

Wait, what? What does that have to do with anything? I've been a fan of Nakamura for years because I'm a massive nerd who watches NJPW but if the next guy isn't...who cares? Why should I get to decide who is and isn't a real fan?
Do I also get to say "None of you guys liked Kevin Owens when he was Kevin Steen in PWG so he sucks" as well? Has anybody here seen any Jon Moxley matches? Or those Claudio Castagnoli matches from Chikara when he had a ponytail and cheap suits? Probably not, but we still like these guys in WWE.
I'm sure a lot of the people who love Nakamura in NXT have never seen any of his Japanese matches, and probably had no idea who he was before he showed up. They like him now, though. And it's not because it's the popular thing to do or because somebody told them they're supposed to like him. For whatever reason, he resonates with the audience. If you don't like him, cool. Just say you don't like him. You don't even need a reason to dislike him. But when the overwhelming majority of the audience, both in Japan and America, find him entertaining and support him then it becomes silly to say he doesn't "deserve" a developmental title belt.

The next time we see Bobby Rhode on NXT, his entrance will (somehow) be even better. I was cracking up at the tapings. They're really going all the way with this gimmick and it's awesome.
And I won't stand for the Shinsuke slander in this thread. That man is a treasure and should only lose the title because he gets bored of being champion forever and wants to call himself up.

So yeah during that match Kota got lost and was counted out. Regal had to come out and restart the match, claiming the neckbreaker on the turnbuckle was illegal. Not sure if Kota was expecting a 20 count or was legit loopy from the neck bumps, but the crowd was totally out of it for a little bit. They did a great job of editing it out though. Couldn't even tell.

Went to the tapings of the third round on Friday. Lots more good stuff as I'm sure you'd imagine by now. One of the finishes got totally ed up, though, and it lost the crowd for a few minutes because they couldn't believe what happened. They had a creative way to fix it, so I doubt you'll even be able to tell by watching the network version. Props to whoever was thinking on their feet.

I was torn watching Gallagher/Tozawa. I wanted both to move on.
That match has one of the funniest spots I've seen in a while, though. Both guys are very good at what they do.

I live in South Florida, so I'm definitely going. Probably won't get a better opportunity.
I'm without a doubt going to NXT and the WWN supershow, but undecided about Mania. Still have a bad taste in my mouth from this year's show. Might wait until right before and see if I can scoop up some tickets from one of the resellers panicking to unload them. Right now all the indy stuff is the main draw for me, though.

Never got the appeal. Just seems like a Bleacher Report/BuzzFeed style content farm that churns out generic, clickbaity lists full of stuff that most of us already know. Basically following the disgusting direction news and journalism as a whole are headed.
In particular, I couldn't see any value in their "fantasy booking" style videos because it's just some regular mark like me spitballing ideas. Like, what gives this dude's ideas any more credence or weight than the next guy? Why should I care about his opinion? I could never come up with a reason to get invested, so I haven't seen any of their videos. Apparently they have a big following, though.

Last time I went to Barclays, our hotel was in downtown Manhattan. Had to take the subway back after the show, but the stop is literally right outside the arena. Extremely convenient because I wasn't about to try driving through NYC. that noise.

Surprised they're already throwing it out next week, but Ibushi/Alexander was even better than Ciampa/Gargano. A tremendous match.
Prepare yourselves.

Rich Swann's newest WWE theme is spectacular.

Yeah, all the other promotions would do it back in the day. Not sure why WWE went away from it for so long.
They probably picked it up from NXT. They've been using local talent squashes on almost every show for some time. On a one hour show sometimes it gets to be overkill, but it definitely makes the big shows seem even more important. When you have three hours of RAW and a shallow roster, it just makes sense.

She's too small and fragile, the only realistic way I can buy her as a wrestler is if she was wrestling lucha style. Just seeing her trying to wrestle someone like Charlotte, Nattie, Paige etc. I just see her getting squashed every match. Sasha Banks is like 115 pounds. She's tiny too, and nobody seems to have any issues believing she can beat up any of the other women. I think JoJo has potential, assuming she can actually wrestle. She's adorable, and I'm pretty sure she had an athletic background prior to WWE. Plus her small size could make for an easy underdog role.

Was it Ibushi/Alexander? I ask because it was the only second round match that has been announced on TV so far. Yup. I thought the match itself was almost flawless, and the sequence of events that went down post-match was one of the most sincere, emotional experiences I've seen from wrestling in quite some time. I'm not sure if that part will make the network broadcast, but if it doesn't get at least a WWE.com or Facebook video it would be criminal. Something really special happened. And shout out to ROH for totally wasting Cedric Alexander. This guy is a star and should have been their franchise guy for years.

Just got back from the second round tapings, and one of the matches I saw is probably my (WWE) match of the year so far. More emotion in the arena than there was for Finn/Shinsuke or American Alpha/Revival 2/3 falls, in my opinion. And this is without being able to hear the commentary, which we all know will be spectacular.
I'm naming my first son Triple H, because everything about this tournament is truly a gift.

It's gonna be hot as . Probably upper 90's with humidity pushing it past 100. You're gonna be sweaty so dress accordingly. They set up food trucks right next to the doors if you get hungry. The Korean BBQ one is real good and seems to be a favorite of the wrestlers/staff from what I've seen.

Mendoza is the real deal. Gonna turn a lot of heads, and I hope he gets an NXT offer out of this thing.

Cesaro. The neutralizer is too slow and anticlimactic compared to his other moves. Swiss death is a fine finisher but maybe they think it's too much like the popup powerbomb.

Maluta is actually in the Anoa'i family, he's a cousin of Reigns. He's not a bad wrestler, though. I liked his first round match in the CWC.
Can't wait to see some of these matches again with Mauro & Bryan calling it. I'm excited because some of the guys they didn't even highlight on the special had some of the best matches.

Does Sasha have gum in her mouth? Or like a retainer? Got some mushmouth action going on.
