Saw 5 Walmart exclusive CM Punks in east Evansville today. Left 2. They also had a bunch of the Elite series with Cesaro, and a bunch of the RA HBK and Batista.

Fair points on the global state of collecting. Many of these lines were designed/created during the early days of crazy COVID prices on collectibles. But now we're seeing prices rise and consumer spending drop on non-necessities (Target and Walmart in the U.S. both have huge issues with backstock and clearance of unsold inventory now).
My brother buys and sells bourbon. They have a collector base similar to vintage toys (just more money at the top) and he's seeing a cooling market, too.

I don't think the line will tank with series 2 (I don't know his finances or MOQ requirements) I just think buyers will be a lot more selective this time.
He said Sabu was the best seller in wave 1, so maybe Raven will be best seller in wave 2. I'm not sure the design choice for Kevin Sullivan really makes anyone happy, as it doesn't really fit collections anywhere other than with other ZST (I can guess he wanted to make something never before made so he chose this era for Kevin).
QA issues with both figures and cards (and Zombie's reaction to those issues) have probably run some buyers off. Maybe he generates enough buzz to replace them with new customers? IDK.

Bundy basically bookends the Hasbro Era (left in 88, returned in 94) that I could see there being enough demand for him. Andre is Andre, I think there will be demand for him, especially the blue strap for something different.
I do think this wave will sell a lot less complete sets than wave 1. I'd say most speculators won't order. The MWFP-only folks are out. And Gage, Raven, and even Brody are more niche.

More drawings of figures that are years away from release date.

Being super critical and the only thing I don’t like is the call out with the title. I think that makes it look more like a toy than collectable but I can overlook that cos the rest is so good. I don't think any company has really nailed belts at a mass-produced scale, sadly. Most of Jakks' belts looked like cheap garbage (although I still love the 1/500 ECW and Big Gold belts). Mattel's belts are often too shiny imo, and scale is all over the place. Super7 went with minimal paint and theirs just look bad. The only belts I really love are from the small scale crafters like Forbidden Figurines and Turnquist.

Major pod just posted it to Twitter Color me shocked!!! Tbf, it was a repost from a member of their FB group who got theirs in, and wasn't Matt's/Brian's/Mark's ring.

Rush's Instagram is teasing another HUGE name announcement for the "Extreme" line this weekend. Announcements are exciting, but we're so far from seeing products from them in any of their lines that I have to reel in my anticipation.

A deal with Billy Corgan? Figures of current NWA stars would be awesome! [/quote] Total speculation from me, but I’d assume the deal with Corgan is to use NWA trademarks. 10 Pounds of Gold, maybe? No judgment on anyone who really wants Trevor Murdoch bedsheets.

I'd say no way in Hell a lot of these deals are exclusive. Andre has figures in the works with like 5 different companies, for example.

Parts reuse is authentic to the "Hasbro feel" at least. And neither Roma nor Candido are in series 2, so who knows how far out they are with this line.

Went back and forth from anywhere between 1 and 3 HISS tanks. Settled on 2 right in the middle. May flip both CC figures. I'd never display a Mickey Mouse CC figure.

Back on the news, Zombie posted a sculpt for Chris Candido today.
At this point, if Rush is going to do OSFTM-style figures, I'd rather Zombie focus more on guys who fit the the WWF Hasbro ~ 1990-1994 time period (Slick, Power and Glory, Big Bully Busick, etc). We'll see what Series 3 gives us.

I'm in the MWFP Facebook group so I see the madness on a daily basis LOL It's a great place to buy and sell, but also a lot of drama.
Regular series versus exclusives is a fair distinction. I guess in my mind the regular series Bendies versus the exclusives are all the same to me because they're all bought online, and a lot from the same website.

I think it's a combination of a couple factors: 1) the experience you mentioned. MWFP has an experienced merchandiser, Kanik, who definitely knows what he's doing. 2) The simplicity of the Bendie product allows them to speed up all phases, especially design and production. Making one body mold per figure has to be a lot quicker than making lots of individual, unique parts. Then you factor in the paint hits, etc, Bendies and ZST are fairly different products. This has also allowed them to push out the repaints quickly to pad out the product line, which is smart for them. My counterpoint to them all being 1 mould would be there’s no reusing so each figure should be brand new. ZST / Chella can reuse parts and mounds meaning it’s more cost effective so theoretically each of zombies lines should be out quicker and quicker because of reusing the parts The thing is though, Major Bendies have already reused their molds quite a bit. There's already a bunch of Matt and Brian repaints, like 3 Danhausens using the same mold. Adam Bomb has a repaint, etc etc.

I still wonder how MWFP are able to manufacture bendies at the drop of a hat and have them in collectors hands within weeks, whilst ZST can't even tell us when we'll receive figures we ordered over a year ago It all comes down to experience and professionalism. The Pod guys simply know what they do. I think it's a combination of a couple factors: 1) the experience you mentioned.
