I was there, what a show it was, hope it translated well on TV.
Britt Baker was crazy over in her hometown. She’ll be the biggest star in all of pro wrestling at some point in the future.
MJF got nuclear heat. I’ve never seen so many middle fingers in a crowd at the same time during any show I’ve been to. The boos drowned him out. Best heel in the business by far.

Misleading thread title.
Nowhere in that article does it say Summerslam will likely be moved or cancelled, only that WWE is worried about that possibility.
A full capacity, yet masked, crowd in Vegas is the likely scenario. With so much planned in the near future for Vegas, nobody is canceling anything unless forced to.

Did both teams get jobber entrances so the TV audience wouldn’t hear them both get booed?

No it hasn’t. The only thing remotely close was in 2015 when Sheamus teased a cash-in on Rollins at Night of Champions. Kane returned and attacked both men and the match never started.

I will never forgive COVID for canceling 316 day in Pittsburgh last year. Hopefully we get a big show and or Austin appearance to make up for it. Or the trip to Tampa I was going to go on for Mania. I hear you, I felt so bad for everyone who had tickets last year. Hopefully you got all your money back.

My only complaint is all the commercial breaks. Other than that the match lived up to all my expectations. Jericho is 50 so a protected bump is the only way to go, camera angles and even the smile didn’t ruin it IMO.

Dude has won 3 Mania matches ] They meant to say it’s the first time he won a one-on-one match at Wrestlemania, which also isn’t true, provided they consider last year’s pre-show match canon or not.

I’ve never given this what-if scenario much thought. At the time I felt it was somewhat pointless to come back after almost a year to only have one more match, well three if you the two squash matches vs Bischoff. Then again, it’s since been revealed that he was wrestling on borrowed time well before he even walked out, so maybe he came back just to go out at Wrestlemania 19.
Like others have said, Austin seemed out of place by 2003 and the co-GM role was a better spot for him anyway. There wasn’t really anything left for him to accomplish as a wrestler that he hadn’t already done.
Matches vs Goldberg and Hogan, while they are dream matches, probably wouldn’t have been too good, plus finishes would probably have been hard to agree on given all the egos involved.
I feel Austin retired at the right time. He went out on top and has always seemed satisfied with how his career ended.

Watched this event a couple weeks ago, still holds up 20 years later.
Still my all-time favorite.

I voted for elimination by a non entrant. Of the options on that list, it’s the only one I don’t like, the rest I don’t really have much issue with.
That being said, I hate the sore loser spot when after someone is eliminated they come back and eliminate their eliminator.

The only thing I hope for is better streaming quality. Mine has always been a headache.

I can relate to what you’re going through. Four years ago I went through a personal and a professional loss right after one another. I was hurt, depressed, angry, confused, and all sorts of other emotions. I was jobless and heartbroken and had no idea what was next. I broke down at random moments way more times than I would like to admit. I needed counseling sessions to help me get through it. I had some many moments when I felt hopeless. I never reached the point of being suicidal because I had several weddings of close lifelong friends to attend that year, as well as be a groomsman for my best friend. I knew I couldn’t miss out on those things.
Now, I’m in a better place. That dark period will always be a part of me, but trust me, dark times don’t last forever. Look at your young daughter and imagine being there for all her milestone moments in life, being there for her will bring so much more joy than any struggles and pain will.
Like someone else said, ditch it alcohol. You don’t need it. It may seem like you do, but it won’t make anything better. Sober up and stay that way. You will improve so many aspects of your life and will one day regret ever picking up a bottle of booze.
The comeback is always greater than the setback.

Called it months ago that both the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania would have limited fans. Not sure how I feel about two nights again, but with limited capacity, two events over two nights can sell more tickets.
Hopefully COVID will be contained enough to have full capacity for Wrestlemania in 2022. I see them going all out for that one because it would have been three years since the last traditional Wrestlemania at that point.
Wrestlemania in 2023 in California makes sense. There’s no way it would have been possible this year, and even next year wouldn’t be a sure thing with how California is currently. Waiting is the right call. Do they try for Rock vs Roman then? Rock will be 50 wouldn’t have had a real match in 10 years at that point. Who knows, a lot can and will happen in two years.
I’m just excited for the future and hope everything goes according to plan.
