www.rohwrestling.com/News/default.aspx?cid=73I've been checking alot for a few weeks and a couple of days ago they added 2 new shows. May 8th, then March 20th. So it looks like they're booking events for the first half of '09. (Excluding the January events which have been up for ages). So anybody else hoping for ROH on Friday 3rd of April? I am! I land in Texas that afternoon and me and my friend wanna go to see ROH if we can, cuz we're doing HOF and WM25 so it'd rock. ;D I heard rumours they're gonna be in the Houston area that week so anybody else going to WM and hoping for a ROH show?

I bet they would love to follow WM this year, but really how financially smart would it be?

I hope they only have one show on that Friday, because most likely I'm going to the HOF ceremony that Saturday, and I would hate to miss the Saturday show if ROH ran one that day.

I assume they will continue to follow Mania to whatever city they entertain in order to expose themselves to a new audience.
As far as not doing a show to counter WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony I think there are three schools of thought -
1) Do a show that Sat anyway, does it make sense for ROH to travel all the way down to Houston TX and only do one show on a Friday? Money wise that could be a bad decision.
2) Don't do a show on Sat, possibly do a Thur and Fri show much like they did in Detroit for WM 22 weekend with Sat being in Chicago. ROH could run a Thur maybe in Corpus Cristi then Friday in Houston.
3) Do the complete Triple Shot - Thur in Corpus Cristi, Friday and Saturday in Houston.
I am pretty positive they will follow Mania every year but they will also lean towards what is the most smart financial decision.

No way is ROH just gonna do a show on Friday. Double shots are done because they are better financially and it wouldn't make sense for ROH to not do a show on a Saturday night as Saturday shows draw the most. ROH has run against the Hall Of Fame for the last three years so there is no reason they aren't gonna do it this year.

Dang. I'm going to the HOF.....but I really don't wanna miss ROH. Hopefully they do the 'set' of shows that includes a Friday one. Because that's the only chance I'll get to see them. Unless I don't go to the HOF  |
