Live, I played both games last year and really have no clue why everyone loves 2k so much. 2k6 for the 360, imo, was a much better game than 2k8 for the ps3.

NBA 2K9 definatley. Live only has good graphics and commentary. The gameplay is horrible especially the dunks. And since when does Steve Nash and Earl Boyins dunk? 2K9 is much better

I played Live 09's demo and I was amazingly impressed by it. It just felt like a completely different game. So I might actually get it for the first time in years. I can't judge 2K yet but they're typically always stellar.
EA deserves credit for actually improving the game in many ways.

NBA 2K9 , the only thing Live is good is the graphics... I prefer gameplay then graphics.

Probably neither. But if I get one, it would be NBA Live without question.
NBA Live 08 was a decent game at best. It was at least a step in the right direction. Haven't tried the Live 09 demo yet.
NBA 2K8 wasn't good at all in my opinion. I felt like 2K6 & 2K7 were much better to be honest.

Since I have a PS3 I have 3 options, NBA 2k9, NBA Live 09 and NBA 09. Im gonna rent all 3 from gamefly and then just buy from them the one I want, However the demo of Live was so much better than 09.

I played the Live Demo and I couldn't get used to the controls at all. I'll be getting 2K9, assuming I don't see a bunch of bad reviews or something for it.
