A Trip of a LifetimeI woke up the students extra early today and told them to be in the main area in 5 mins. Once I got down there everyone was complaining saying about how it was their day off but I told them to shut up and let me speak. I reminded them that Henry Edwards has won a opportune to go to FIP to wrestle a match, Parkland looked bitter that he didn’t get the win and Pagano complained that he wasn’t even in the match. They’re faces lit up when I told them that we would all be going to FIP to watch the action, everyone was happy as I told them to get ready as the bus will be here in 20 mins. After getting everyone in the bus I sat down next to Edwards and helped him to run though a few spots he had planned for the night. I had told the guys to pick some music so we ended up with some Iron Madien, Linkin Park and… Spice Girls? (Who the hell picked that?) New guys Mike Bockwinkel and Tom Felix (yes, I decided to accept him) seemed to have a great time on their first day, Mike mostly hanged round with Nick Jacobs and Amy Adams who he knew before while Felix was rapping which basically everyone listened to (he’s pretty good) Bruddah Stile seemed to be jealous of Felix’s skills so he told Devon Moore to “Give me a beat Mo Fo” and started a horrible rap. Once we got to the arena we were met by Roderick Strong who said hi and I followed him to backstage to meet some of the guys who all said they missed me (ahhhh) The students however were given a quick tour of what goes into a promotion and then taken to the ring were the student put on a few quick matches which drew a little crowd from the audience of the locker room. Pagano and Powers impressed a lot of the guys there and Strong even said that they have “Something Special.” Edwards had a quick run down of his match and met his opponent who was some local guy. As the show started we all took our seats, must have looked weird the whole bunch of us sitting down. Then Edwards came out, the guys went crazy for him and started up a “Lets go Edwards” chant, which carried on throughout the match, even some of the fans joined in! FIP Dark Match: Henry Edwards vs. Johnny StiffEdwards looked good, real good! He controlled most of this match and beat down the jobber. Edwards mostly stuck to submissions always locking Johnny in holds and then straight into strong power moves. After seeing years of dark matches this one has to be near the top epically seeing moves that Shelley, Albright and I taught him. His trademark powerslam came crushing down on Johnny like a hammer. Edwards then nailed the H.E. Driver (Double underhook brainbuster) for the win. Winner: Henry EdwardsFor the rest of the show there were a few references to me. The announcer kindly plugged FUSE for us. The students could not stop talking about the show afterwards, Kagemann and Extreme were talking about Necro’s crazy bout, Hammers, Spade and Powers were non stop talking about Tyler Black’s performance and Ryler couldn’t stop laughing at Nigel Mcguinness blotch. Overall it was a good day and was enjoyed by all, hopefully the guys have learned something from today Austin Aries

I can't even begin to explain how happy I've been with Edwards' push. He's strolling along real nicely in FUSE, but a dark match win in FIP, too? Absolutely awesome. Keep this up, RD.

Weekly Round UpThe day after I took the guys to FIP I gave them a day off. Some took that to their advantage and hit the gym (Spade, Hammers, Devine, Edwards and Powers) while others just wasted it by sleeping (Safu), drinking (Parkland) and… eating fried chicken? (Petey) Everything was going fine until Amy came over to me and explained that as much as she loved wrestling she couldn’t take it. We had a long chat over it and Amy has now left FUSE but will be at all our shows continuing her storyline with Mike Bockwinkel. The rest of the day went of fine and ended with a rather drunk Jacob Ryler doing his comedy routine Bret Thomas and Shaun Tiger thankfully stopped him however when he was going to do an impression of a elephant… with his pants down. The next day during in-ring training I caught Jordan Devine playing with his phone I told him to hand it over but insisted on keeping it. Later on in the lesson he walked out. I quickly hopped along trying to find out were he was going and he was outside next to a fine young girl, they were shouting at each other (allot like our storyline) I told Devine to get back inside which he did after some auguring then I talked to the girl, who seemed to be Devine’s girlfriend. Devine seems to have left his home, family and friends in a instant to join FUSE without telling anyone what he was doing. I then let Devine talk to her and told him to go home to see his family who are obviously worried. On another day we worked on gimmicks with the guys and Matthew Spade came over to me asking about his gimmick, he wants to change it mainly because he isn’t getting over with it but we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for Matt. Safu was practising his finisher a Samoa Drop and attempted to pick up Devon Moore, which he did but dropped him on his head causing his uncle Bruddah Stille to leap up and smack Safu, which caused one big man battle that was very hard to break up. The trio known as the Adrenaline Boys were starting to develop as a team especially Super Extreme and Steven Kagemann they seem to have been working well since our last talk. Nick Jacobs is also doing well being one of the more experienced members of the group. New boy Tom Felix was just rapping about some random stuff on Thursday and he mentioned something about Twisted Assassin, which got the silent man angry. Assassin walked over to him face to face then looked at the trash can next to him before dumping Felix in the trash, which caused a lot of laughs from the group as Assassin went back to his chair. Pagano also asked in front of the group about titles, he wanted to know when they were going to be used and I told the group that I already have a FUSE World Title made up in my office. The student’s eyes lighted up as I told them about the belt. “So when are we going to see it?” asked Edwards “Just wait guys, just wait.” I responded. Blog from Bret Thomas' Facebook Ok so I just got done weight training with Jake, Evan, and Henry. Speaking of Edwards a few nights ago Aries took us all to the FIP show to cheer on Henry. He looked very very good out there and I think he will go far in this business. HOLY CRAP!!! Shelley just let me know my opponent for the next FUSE show. Kevin Steen actually requested to have his match be against me!! Wow I'm such a friggin mark. I'm going to have to really avoid my bad habit of collegiate mat wrestling and focus more on chain wrestling the hell out him. Aries and Shelley both tell me that I'm probably one of the best up-and-coming technicians out of this group. To hear that from some of the best in the indy circuit really says something about you. Well a few of us guys are planning on a poker night so I'll get back to you guys soon.
Keep Things Rockin', ~Bret~

Poker NightLate last night in Evan Pagano's room the students held a little poker game with many of the guys playing. Only some such as Safu and Shawn Tiger did not play. I had told the guys not to stay up late as they have their show tomorrow. Parkland looked good on the cards and seemed to be earning alot of money that is until Bret Thomas caught him cheating which made all the guys jump him and take his money (and their's) back. As the guys slowly made their ways to bed there were some still playing they were Evan Pagano, Nick Jacobs, Jacob Ryler and Bret Thomas. Steven Kagemann tried to stay up but fell asleep. Ryler suggested a game of strip poker which the others accepted as they had had way too many drinks. The game came down to Ryler having his pants off, he went by the door were Bret tackled him and the others tied him outside only wearing his pants. Ryler had to stay out the whole night only in his pants and caught a glimpse of Safu walking around 3:00 he tried calling Safu but he didn't respond, is Safu sleep walking? As I got across the road I was about to open the first room door and saw Ryler handcuffed to the outside bansister only wearing his pant with a 'Feed me' sign. How the hell is he going to be in good shape for tonights match? ----------------------------------------- For the show card just scroll up to the last update

Firelighter The show started off with FUSE’s theme tune ‘Flux’ Bloc Party playing over the speakers and as it faded the rapper Tom Felix came out with a rap about Evan Pagnao who then followed he ran into to the ring to open the first match. Match 1: Tom Felix vs. Evan PaganoPagano dominated Felix and Pagano looked like a beast. He worked over his head then hit The Calling (Quackendriver III) to put Felix away for the 3 count. Winner: Evan PaganoNext out came the loveable pirate Petey complete with plastic parrot and sword. Then out came fan favourite and slightly crazy mad man Nick Jacobs who is also the leader of the Adrenaline Boyz. Then the crowd started they’re booing as Daniel Sinn made his way out to the ring. Match 2: Petey The Pirate vs. Nick Jacobs vs. Daniel SinnA good triple threat thanks to Jacobs and Sinn, Petely mostly came in for big power moves such as a big boot and huge gorilla press slams. Sinn and Jacobs worked well and wrestled back and forth before Petey knocked Jacobs out with a double handed Chokeslam and Sinn kocked Petey out of the ring. Sinn then hit The Original Sinn (Tiger Driver 91) onto Jacobs for the win. Winner: Daniel SinnShaun Tiger then came out now sporting his new underdog gimmick he was followed by Mike Bockwinkel. Match 3: Shaun Tiger vs. Mike BockwinkelOnce again Shaun was beaten down before making a heroic stuggle before getting flipped over by a lariat, which Shaun sold like a million dollars. Amy Adams stood watching the match but left as Mike hit the Bockwinkel Special (Piledriver) for the win. Winner: Mike BockwinkelAfter Mike and Shaun left another two men entered the arena they were Devon Moore and Bruddah Stille known as Just Another Gangsta Team they entered the ring and waited for the Adrenaline Boyz (Super Extreme & Steven Kagemann) Match 4: Just Another Gangsta Team vs. Adrenaline BoyzThese 2 teams battled hardcore style really well and seemed to tone down from their last encounter (thank god) it didn’t stop them using tables, chairs and a chain from Stille’s kneck. Super Extreme hit an amazing senton over the top rope and it looked like the Adrenaline Boyz had the win but stupidly they brought ladders out (being the daredevils they are) and climbed them only for Extreme to fall off and Kagemann hit a really bad Shooting Star Press, he was probably trying to hit his finisher Fire Tornado (Shooting Star Press + a 360 spin) but messed up. J.A.G.T capitalized and hit a Cap in Yo Ass (Doomsday shinning wizard) for the win. Winner: Just Another Gangsta TeamIntermission then came and Bret Thomas made his way out to take photos and sign autographs the announcer also hyped his match against one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen Still to Come:
Jordan Devine vs. Jacob Ryler
Bret Thomas vs. Kevin Steen
Henry Edwards vs. Drew Parkland vs. Safu vs. James Powers ----------------------------------------- And sign ups are still welcome and so are ideas via PM
